Great location, lovely people. Accommodation is basic and clean. It could be much better but poor attention to detail. Room was great, basic but everything we needed was there. Cleaner was absolutely lovely, room was spotlessly clean. Good size balcony. Only issue was every morning around 6.30am a man would come out with a leaf blower from a neighbouring office block. (I know it’s out of the hotels hands but it was still very loud). We were at the back of the hotel near the gate leading to Masseys supermarket.
Reception. Very friendly and welcoming.
Bar/restaurant. Unpredictable mood of the lady there. (Joy) Often made people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. One night nearly waited 2 hours for food, it wasn’t the kitchen fault, found out in the end they didn’t get the order. We decided to walk away and visit many of the other many good eateries around. We even complained to the gentleman that said he owned it, he didn’t seem that bothered.
Location was ideal for us.
Pool facilities were ok. Only 10 sun beds around when I counted, which were reserved very early. Which was frustrating when you wanted to come back after a busy day out. One lady even reserved 2 for herself, one in the shade, 1 in the sun. Definitely a particular clientele there (retirement age).
Sun beds also in desperate need of replacement.
Good hospitality facilities for check out.
Would we stay again - probably not.

Staff are welcoming and efficient, our superior room was pretty with a high vaulted ceiling. The hotel location is perfect for exploring using local transport. The views are ok and the only downside is the road noise. The pool, although small, is perfect for cooling off and loungers and bar area are great. We prefer to be independent and not to be tied down with hotel meals and tours so for us Worthing Court had the best of both worlds.

Brilliant service, some of the best we’ve experienced anywhere in the Caribbean. Quick and easy check in and check out, clean, well stocked rooms/kitchenette with incredible views. Great local breakfast. VERY comfortable bed and quiet bedroom. Lovely local art decorating the walls and I even purchased a piece from the gift shop before we left. Overall a very relaxing stay and left feeling well looked after. Would be thrilled to stay again.

Visited with colleagues who belong to the same organisation as I do for breakfast. Breakfast was a buffet, and it was good and reasonably priced. However, I found that the waitress was not very friendly and cleared the plates before persons decided they were finished. There was a guy who was refilling the buffet table, and his posture suggested that he didn't want to be there. Only one person spoke to the group when we asked questions, and she was called away. It seems as if staff were not allowed to speak to guests or more importantly, locals. After eating, I usually take a walk, but as the sea was so rough, the gate was locked to prevent guests from wandering onto the sand. The sea was really rough and the waves were coming over a part of the wall. A few of us decided to sit in the lounge chairs that no one else was sitting in. However, we got the message that we are not to sit in the chairs, and it is only for paying guests. I guess our payment for the breakfast wasn't enough. Even though the policy might be for in-house guests, the way it was said leaves me no doubt that locals are not welcome. Therefore, my colleagues and I will not be back. We went, and we conquered and will look to where we are welcome.

As I spend my last night here, I must say I did not know what to expect after reading a review left from someone. I was about to switch my hotel but I am happy I did not. This place was more pleasant than I expected. The check in was very quick and super friendly. The rooms were very clean and ready. While is was not thrilled with the food option it was because I have a seafood allergy and as we all know barbados is big on fish. There was so many options close by it was not a big deal for me. Please do not go by the negative review of this place, it is very nice clean and friendly.

This hotel is a great stay. A bit of an chill vibe with stunning beachfront views. The staff are mostly fantastic. When I was there with my family, Stacey , Lynette, Kato , are the reason I'll be back 👍👍👍 don't forget to drop into the shop and say Hi to Deb or Lila they are also such nice, genuine people and great with my kids. In the shop they can set you up with all sorts of fun excursions. We went on the submarine and it was a core memory for our family Thank you !!!! 🙏

My partner and I absolutely loved it here. The location was perfect, the St Lawrence Gap is just a few steps away and the beach is just across the road from the hotel. The room was very spacious and had a lot of storage for clothing and not the typical small closet with 2 racks other hotels provide.
The housekeeping was 100% satisfying! Clean room, restocked coffee, tea and creamer! The staff are the most friendly and helpful. Everything was close by as well as taxis were available outside if you don't have a rental. There's also a casino on-site, restaurant and bakery.
We definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed at Time Out for 4 nights and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is located in a great spot if you are interested in night life.
Food and drinks were very tasty.
However the star service was our house keeper Ms. Sabrina. She was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in Barbados.
- Dirty furniture all around the hotel.
- Rooms not an accurate representation of what you see in photos. Rooms are very dark with limited lighting/light switches. You have two bedside lamps.
- Toilets always blocked, or not flushing at all.
- No hot water, shower/sink
- not very clean. Cleaners do make up the bed and take bins out but there’s no evidence of hotel upkeep
- Some staff very friendly and will go over a beyond to help you.
Some staff not helpful at all, gives you attitude. Sometimes sleeping at front desk.
- hotel is close to the beach and you have to pay for sun loungers and umbrellas (not pricey tbh) but other hotels you get them for free.
Location is the only positive but yet again, there’s better.
I Would recommend other places, just not here tbh. ✌️

I enjoyed the hotel and the staff were good. Joe is the best. Front desk staff moody some days friendly some days not.
The real draw back is the restaurant and bar. Food is good but over priced. Service is poor and unpleasant. The best service from bar staff is when they are directing you to bars across the street. Strange.
The hotels has good location and there are several restaurants and bars close by, as good for quality and much superior service. Much enjoyed when restaurant was under ownership of the hotel.
Enjoy the hotel but look nearby for food and drink.

My company booked me into the Time Out Hotel for 5 nights with full pension. Now on day four, I am very happy with the hotel and the restaurant. Very handy to Dover Beach and a dozen local businesses (distractions!)
The hotel is not a fancy or exclusive property, but it is extremely well staffed. Rooms are clean, & spacious though basic. I had a good mattress and a table and (1) interior chair. Bathroom has a fixed low step shower. Small balcony with 2 more chairs but no little table for books or drinks.
Room and safe seem totally secure. Overall the vibe is very nice. Pool is lovely with lots of sun chairs. While I was here, the beach had a high surf limiting swimming in the sea.
Very limited entertainment on the TV.
The Rhum Stop restaurant serves a good breakfast. My dinners covered the menu, all good to very good.
Overall, on an island with a dozen of the Caribbean’s most exclusive resort hotels, I would say this 3-star Time Out hotel delivers.
Folks needing a budget holiday will be welcomed here.

The host and waiters were on point, very good service. The food was good but limited, a larger variety would be nice. Waiters can assist customers, but customers should be given more freedom to make their choices. The desserts 🍨 choices are painfully limited. The fruit cocktail should be fresh fruits, local, Caribbean or otherwise. Very relaxing 😌 atmosphere.

the most fascinating beach with an artificial bay made many years ago by the owners grandfather who placed natural rock out in the water to create a gentle bay.
the owners also placed coral bowls to encourage fish. so you have your own private snorkel paradise!
lovely pool and sun area.
great restaurant! the best fish cakes on the island! and the impossible burger is amazing!

A very nice hotel with friendly staff. Great location on what feels like a private beach with lovely shaded areas from the almond trees. Sadly though we had the awful smelly sargassum for the whole 2 weeks we were there so didn't make use of the beach as we had hoped.
Good views from the room, deluxe ocean view. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower was amazing! Towels were soft and fluffy too which was nice. The only negative was a horrid musty, damp smell from the bathroom cupboard that needs addressing. Good AC and decent size fridge.
Food and service was good in the restaurant. Overall, a nice stay here but we would have spent more time on site in the day if it hadn't been for the sargassum which is a real shame and obviously out of their control.

Stayed at Coconut Court Beach Hotel from May 24–28 for my grandfather’s funeral. The hotel is clean and the staff—especially Margot and manager Maria—were kind and professional.
However, I wasn’t allowed to have my local family visit my room, even briefly. Security made me check in at the front desk, only to be told no visitors allowed in guest rooms at all. I had to meet them in the common area. This policy felt too strict, especially for a non–all-inclusive resort.
Also, this resort tends to attract a more retired, older crowd, and the beach is very rocky—hard to walk or swim without water shoes.
Great staff, but the visitor policy and beach conditions were disappointing.

Dont book the apartments! We booked this to get a nice hotel experience, and it was far from. The apartments are the other side of the road, dont have glass int he windows and so during the day to try to keep col you have to have the shutters....meaning no natural light. No view of the beach from them, and beach is across road and down some steps, no balcony to sit on without a view of the road!. No shade around swimming pool, although beach is quite nice. We gave feedback but no forthcoming responses. Very disappointing, moved on to ocean view apartments which was better for one fifth the price!

The hotel needs serious upgrading. The room had mold on the ceilings the furniture is dirty and lamps are rusty. No microwave and the WiFi connection was poor. If you are going for a short 3 day trip I recommend if not I don’t recommend. The staff are nice and welcoming and the drinks are good and strong. The menu said happy hour but we paid regular prices during the time of “happy hour “. The breakfast was decent I believe it was $30 for buffet style. I didn’t have dinner at the hotel I went out.

Location! Location! Location!! We are a family of four - 2 adults and 2 kids. I searched a lot for different ocean view options but everything was crazy expensive. Finally we came across Radisson and immediately booked it for around $1000 for 4 nights. Check-In: It was smooth but check your room as we had to ask for a new room due to the blocked view initially; Room: 207 Once changed the ocean view from that room was amazing and private too with a huge tree on the side. Housekeeping: The staff rocks here. They are amazing and do a great job each day. Towels replaced well, the bed made well and refilled shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion in bulk for a family:) Thank you for making our stay comfortable and memorable. Front Desk: Wonderful and caters to needs immediately. Anything we called and ordered was there quickly. Beach access: One of the best beaches in Barbados and they provide umbrellas, beach towels etc. After exploring tons of beaches around Barbados we come to the conclusion that the Radisson beach access is the most beautiful location with great sand and calm waters. On-site parking: Ample so never an issue. Security: Very safe and the security personnel are very hard working and attentive at all times. OVERALL as a family we had the best times during the Spring Break 2025 and would highly recommend it to any families visiting Barbados and looking for a reasonably amazing stay option.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights to attend a wedding in Barbados in May 2025. The experience was deeply disappointing due to multiple issues relating to cleanliness, maintenance, customer service, and unresolved charges.
The room was in a poor and unacceptable condition, it was extremely outdated, worn, and lacking proper upkeep. The bathroom was particularly concerning, with visible limescale and grime in the shower, a stained, rotting and dirty bathtub, and we even saw a cockroach in the bathroom on the first night. These conditions fall far below what is expected of a hotel at this price point and significantly impacted the overall stay, which was ruined by this experience.
A major safety issue I want to point out is that the shower water temperature fluctuated unpredictably between freezing cold and scalding hot, making it nearly impossible to use safely or comfortably. Despite being reported, the problem was never resolved – and it appears to be a recurring complaint among guests.
The air conditioning unit was oddly positioned on the floor and it often leaked water, emitted a strong damp smell, and released a strange, potentially toxic odour on a number of nights. This raised concerns about both hygiene and respiratory safety. We informed the reception team about this and little was done to resolve.
Customer service also left much to be desired. Only two glasses were provided in the room – which were being used to hold toothbrushes – and a simple request for a third glass was denied by housekeeping, citing a policy of “only two per room.” This rigid approach felt petty and unwelcoming, especially given the overall condition of the hotel.
The wider hotel grounds showed visible signs of neglect. Paint was peeling, balconies were in disrepair, and the pool was both small and poorly maintained. The overall property appears to be suffering from long-term underinvestment. Several other guests voiced similar complaints during the stay, suggesting that these issues are not isolated.
To add to the frustration, a refund for a $160 plug adapter charge and a $500 deposit has still not been received over 10 days after leaving, despite assurances it would be. The only charge that should have applied was the city tax. The delay in returning these funds caused unnecessary financial strain during the remainder of the trip.
This stay has seriously undermined trust in the Radisson brand. I hope Radisson senior management take these concerns seriously and urgently review the condition and operations of this property. I urge you to look at trip advisor and TikTok for further reviews and information on this hotel. Unfortunately, my phone broke during the trip so I do not have many pictures to upload.

I just spent a week at the Hotel Radisson to participate in a conference. The hotel is located by the sea and every morning you can come and watch the horses take their bath and take pictures with them. There's a swimming pool, but it's really very small. Some rooms have wonderful views. All rooms have a safe. The conference rooms aren't too big if you plan to accommodate a lot of people. Their cooking is quite good and very courteous staff as well. There is also a laundry room, but you should think about bringing your clothes very early in the morning.

She always took time to give our daughter special attention and went out of her way to make conversation with her. We will definitely be back.

Wow wow wow. We had the best 3 weeks at Southern Palms over Easter. The relaxed atmosphere was perfect. Even when the hotel was full it never felt crowded because there is so much space for guests to use. We had a lovely room with a stunning view. The food was great. The drinks were great. All the staff were great. The general manager was outstanding so welcoming and positive, no wonder the staff are so good with her as their manager. We have no complaints what’s so ever. It’s also a great location with some great entertainment. We have been to Barbados many times and this was our first time at Southern Palms, it certainly won’t be our last. Thank you Southern Palms, you made our holiday very special ❤️

Just come back from a great holiday at the Southern Palms - had a fantastic time. It’s in a brilliant location on the beach with a great array of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis. Breakfast was buffet style and had a great selection. Eggs cooked to your preference by the chef were really good. Service throughout the hotel was super friendly and relaxed like it is all over the island. Special mentions to Ken at breakfast and Latoya at the bar. Both amazing with our little boy!!
Our room was on the ground floor and we paid for extra space for the cot. The room had plenty of space, storage and had a really comfy bed. Is traditionally decorated and a little old but had everything we needed and we found the room to be perfect for what we needed.
The staff make this place great. Would highly recommend and we will definitely stay again here.

Second ,time at this hotel ,a great time, a really nice place, and nice people. We were room only , however, we still used the restaurant a few times, and the food was great, as was the service . The room was clean, tidy, and well equipped and cleaned and checked every day . Although there were a few usual sunbed hoggers, it wasn't an issue as there were plenty to go around . The hotel is literally on the beach, which is lovely .
If there were any minor downsides, and the only thing I would say is that the rooms could do with maybe a bit of an update. However, for us, it's not that much of an issue so long as it was clean and tidy. We just view it as a place to sleep. We don't spend much time in the room as we are out and about on the island . Also, a big plus is being on the gap.much less traffic and noise and lots of places to eat and drink . There is also a range of entertainment on at the hotel should you want it.

Just got home from a 5 night stay at southern palms with 2 kids and it was ABSOLUTELY incredible. The location can not be beat in its beauty as well as convenience to restaurants and walk-ability. I highky recommend this resort if you want a laid back, boutiquey feel. The views are beyond spectacular and the ocean is filled with turtles just swimming about and riding the waves with you!! It was an absolute incredible experience and truly one of the best family vacations ever!!

What an incredible place! Wonderful location on the most beautiful beach. We loved swimming with the turtles daily. The rooms were great and the views just incredible. Great staff and great value. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else on island now that we’ve experienced the pink perfection of Southern Palms.

Awesome spot with great ocean views, seaweed had overtaken the beach, but the views and pools were great and shuttle service was offered to the nearby weed-free beach daily.
Ate at Zen, food and atmosphere were great, also ate at the Italian restaurant on site which too was good.
Would not hesitate to return.

I have never stayed at The Crane Hotel but I have been several times to eat and it is always a good experience. The food is delicious.
The only criticism was when I paid a deposit and they couldn't find the account number for me to just pay the balance. It took almost 30 minutes for us to make the payment to leave. So we ended up just sitting around waiting. There needs to be a way for it to be more seamless. Waiting 30 minutes just to pay a bill is too long.

The people were very friendly and accommodating! We got a really good deal, and so it was well worth the money. It's was a quiet little island, but the weekly fish fry friday was fun (off the resort)
We really can't speak about day life on the resort/night on the resort because we spent a lot of time off the resort. Their were activities daily, but our schedule did not permit our attendance.
The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and they maintained the property very well. It was a treat to see the monkeys 🐒 in real life.
The beaches were beautiful but limited use due to the seaweed (sargassum algae) problem the island seems to be having. We toured the entire island, and all the beautiful beaches were just littered with seaweed with every wave that came in. I'm not a beach bum, so I was fine.
Restaurants were available, but it was more cost-effective to eat off the resort or shop to cook in the room as they did have a fully furnished kitchen. Everything was an additional price, so travel with money.

We had such an awesome time lodged at the crane, we were welcomed with a cold glass of punch. Very comfortable room with great view, our room was cleaned everyday.
Staff: very friendly and always had a great smile
Restaurant: we only ate once at this hotel in our 7 day stay as we wanted to explore other options on the island. We had our anniversary dinner at Zen in one of the Thai boots. Zen had a great view of the ocean.
The only downside to this resort is that it’s atleast 20 minutes from where most of the action happens in Barbados. I would recommend getting a car if you plan to stay at this resort and explore the country.
Beach: lovely beach view, my wife would go watch the sunrise most mornings and she loved it. The only issue is with the seaweeds. They were always there. The crane management could benefit from netting out the seaweed before it gets to the shore.
Overall it was a great experience staying here

We can honestly not fault this hotel at all.
Me and my husband stayed here for a week for our 10year wedding Anniversary to be greeted with a welcome drink rum punch, to then be taken straight to our room that went straight to the pool, with a bottle of champagne and card on our bed. The staff I can not praise them all enough they are a credit to the hotel so attentive throughout the whole holiday, always so happy and ready to help you enjoy the beautiful island.
All inclusive Food and drink was really good the hotel itself is beautiful they are constantly cleaning it’s spotless.
The evening entertainment we enjoyed a lot, and the beach watching the sunset in the evenings was something else stunning.
Thank you for having us we will be back in the near future

Unbelievably amazing resort!! Every single one of the staff (Alicia, Sanisha, Shaniece, Miguel, Beverly, Petural and Ronald…just to name a few) were excellent…friendly and attentive along with being so sweet!! The food was great (thanks Ronald) and you couldn’t beat the weather! Clean and comfortable accommodations!! I would highly recommend this all inclusive resort! I would definitely go back! 💕

For Brit on holiday the hotel was more than acceptable. Big room, good location. Pool was cold. Our toddler loves swimming but refused this cold pool, don’t blame her. General value is poor. For what we paid and what you get I just don’t see how Barbados will last. Perhaps the target market is Americans with more cash, but this hotel for 6 days was £2000. Not great value for me. Great holiday, but won’t go back to Barbados when the world has so much more to offer for less. Generally very friendly staff! Manager at the beach restaurant treats you like a second class citizen if you don’t have food included in your package, very rude.

The resort was nice - some parts of the room were a tad outdated but nothing drastic. The bed was HUGE and very comfortable. The room had a good AC which was very helpful during humid times of the day. The views are gorgeous and the beach was nice and walkable. The staff was pretty friendly, but occasionally they lacked situational awareness and seemed stressed during high traffic periods for meal times. For the most part, everyone was lovely and always willing to help whether it be with my luggage or calling me a taxi. A few major cons about my visit: 1) if you miss lunch due to excursions scheduled in the mornings, you’re gonna be STARVING until dinner. After lunch, they only have a small tea hour from 4-5 until the staff start preparing for dinner around 6/6:30. The tea hour is just tea, coffee, and tiny food that you would feed children. They did not have any bar snacks or small bites around the clock for those who missed meal times. Meal times are very restricted so plan accordingly. The breakfast was suitable and good quality. The buffet during dinner time is awful - the food is tasteless and very lacking. For the all inclusive price, the buffet meal options were very underwhelming. The drinks are very good though. I would recommend booking all of your dinner reservations for rachel’s or the asian kitchen when you arrive because they are both very yummy for dinner but can get booked up quickly. 2) There are no elevators, and the resort has A LOT of stairs so get ready to climb. If you have mobility issues, stay somewhere else. 3) The pool closes very early around 6:30pm which is really wild to me. For the price I paid, I would have loved to catch a night swim. 4) They are really stingy with washcloths. You will have to request them daily because when they clean the room they only leave body and face towels. No wash clothes. They have black writing on them so I assume it because they may turn up missing a lot. 5) They only give you two bottles of water in the room when you arrive, after that you’re on your own. Once the bar closes, there isn’t any way to get fresh water until everything opens up again. I called the front desk for water and they claimed no one was available to bring any. Again for the price I paid, bottles of water seem very basic.
Other than that, everything else was peaceful. I loved how private and spacious the balcony was. I got some in reading and relaxation time which was nice. My experience was okay overall, but I would probably stay somewhere else next time.

Amazing hotel! Very modern (for Caribbean standards), great bar/food and across the road from a lovely beach. Everyone that works there is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast had very good variety and something for all. Great location for getting the bus to other places and great activities at the hotel - our favorite was Sunday's karaoke night and the daily happy hour (including rum punch). Will 100% be staying there again when I'm next in Barbados and will be recommending to friends and family too!

Our first time to Barbados. The hotel we stayed in is called The Rockley and the staff there are wonderful. We honestly felt like family by the time we left.
Nothing was too much trouble.
The facilities in the hotel include a gym, lounge, and bar. There's also a restaurant but we mostly ate outside in the bar area.
The beach across the road from the hotel, who provide you with beach towels for the beds.
There is also many shops, bars and eateries within 5 minutes of the hotel so it's a perfect place to stay.
We are already looking at opportunities to come back and stay!

It was my first time in Barbados and everyone was so hospitable and warm. The staff always had a smile on their face and never passed you without a greeting. Loved our stay at the hotel. Quirky decor and very friendly staff. Rooms were big with a small kitchen and a spacious lounge area. Beach opposite with a lovely boardwalk that you could walk along. Taxis opposite and bus stop nearby. Plenty of places to eat at nearby, varying in cost.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Great location, 100 yards to the beach, reserved sunbeds, and umbrella. Close to local eateries and bars. With Bajan's love for saying hello with a beep from their cars, it can be a little noisy during rush hours, but it's a happy toot, not angry. Large rooms with double bedrooms, kitchenettes, large showers with double basins and lounge areas. Also, a balcony. More of an apartment than a room. Great breakfast, with more than enough choice. Egg chef will cook your egg to perfection (and sing to the background music while doing so), and the peanut butter is to die for! Will definitely stay again.

I spent three nights here while renewing my E3 Visa. They gave me great rates and amazing service. The people are fantastic right from the minute I arrived. The resort is very quiet beautiful grounds the rooms are first class as is the service. The food is first class Chef Christophe serves up amazing food. I had to relocate after this for three more days to another hotel and it was like night and day difference. I would recommend this place to anyone but especially Aussies you won’t be disappointed
It is a bit far from most things so rental car is probably needed as taxis can get expensive but for relaxation you cannot beat this place

We absolutely loved The Little Good Harbour - it was one of the most delightful places we have ever stayed. Our cottage was gorgeous (we loved having a kitchen and sea views / sounds from the balcony), the setting for both the pool and the restaurant was stunning, and staff were so wonderful. Javon in particular was amazingly helpful when our return flight was cancelled and we were stranded in Barbados - he sorted everything for us. And, of course, eating at The Fish Pot was fabulous. We very much hope to be back!!

Stayed for 2 weeks, we went half board for most of the time which was a mistake in hindsight, dinner was in the Fish Pot Restaurant, the menu is limited if you are eating there for any period over say 5 or 6 nights that being said the food is fabulous, service excellent, view amazing and the breakfast choice outstanding. I would definitely recommend a car as the complex is a little remote but for us that was a bonus not a negative.
We stayed in a one bedroom villa which was nicely maintained and had quality furniture and good outdoor space, it was serviced every morning to a really high standard. Overall an outstanding experience made extra special by the staff who were simply the best.

Wonderful hotel and restaurant. We originally booked this hotel because of the Fish Pot restaurant. We were so pleasantly surprised with the beautiful accommodations. We loved the food, what we loved:
The jumbo prawns which were to die for, the octopus, the catch of the day which both times was perfectly cooked and the steak which I would have felt dubious about as in my experience cows in the heat don't produce good meat. My friend is big on steak he likes his tomahawk and was very enthusiastic about it.
The sticky toffee pudding also got rave reviews.
Decor and restoration of the old building was wonderful. I particularly liked the views we had out of the middle room where looking through the square windows the white contrasted beautifully with the turquoise and blues of sea and sky.
The beach chairs umbrellas and outside service was just right.
The snorkeling is about average for the Caribbean where little care is taken of the coral. However the floating pier is a great amenity that is provided for getting past the rocks.
I really can't think of anything we didn't like except for the online booking system which could do with some improvement.

Lovely hotel next door to Sandals. Friendly staff, very spacious rooms and decent kitchens allowing you to prepare ample meals. Pools are OK but would have liked bigger. Swim up bar gets busy, especially around happy hour. Seaweed seemed to be a constant issue on the beach while we were here but didn’t cause any problems. Onsite restaurant Calabash is nice as is Deia Beach next door.

Amazing rooms, many with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea. The whole place has a relaxed and upbeat atmosphere, with two main pools and a pool bar. It has direct access to the beach from the pools, with white sands and water sports options like paddle boarding and sailing. The food is very good too, with options for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Calabash Bar / Restaurant or the next door Deia, which you can also charge to your room.

We stayed in Bougainvillea in our recent vacation to Barbados. Our stay was great. The hotel is at the beach, with the pool, a bar and a couple of restaurants on premises. It’s clean, spacious, and all the staff were very accommodating, friendly and amazing. We also liked that the hotel is not on the main road as it does get busy at times. We also didn’t have any issues walking back at night.

Really good hotel, staff are lovely and really helpful. Everything is clean and really well presented. The sea is a bit choppier than further round to the west coast but is good fun. If you want a calmer sea just head up the coast towards Carlisle bay. It's only a 20 min cab journey.

Loved the place but not the staff. They weren't very welcoming, especially at the reception. I had higher expectations with regards to the food.
Also, even if this is clearly none of their fault, two teens loitering just out of the hotel's premises attempted to snatch my mother's bag while we were on our way back from a walk. That definitely didn't help.

Nice small hotel with the kind of food you might expect for the price. I found the room very comfortable and quiet (my room was on the outside away from the pool). The air conditioning was very good, but a little noisy. The staff were mixed, some extremely friendly and some were rude. The food was very child friendly or great for people that like an unhealthy diet. Not great for vegetarians, but there was always something. I wasn’t drinking, but everyone else was, and they seemed to be enjoying the choice of wines, beer and spirits. Great location, close to the beach.

Also able to use facilities at sister hotels The Sands and Mango Bay which was a lovely added bonus. Walking distance to Bridgetown and to the race track if you fancy a flutter. Great beaches just moments away. We purchased snorkel equipment at a pharmacy shop in Worthing which was better value than renting at the beach. The staff were all so friendly, from maintenance to reception, bar to kitchen and room cleaning. Nothing was too much trouble. We needed to hold our room for extra time as we were on standby flights and the manager was so helpful and made it much less stressful. A really wonderful small friendly hotel that I would return to in a heartbeat. Thanks to all at Island Inn.

Not a pleasant experience. Not kid friendly especially food wise, late night music right in front of your room. Some staff are trying, but service generally is poor. The best staff member is maintenance guy, who resolved our issue instantly! Room is fine, leaking faucet that drips to the floor can be tolerated. Food is average, breakfast is fine, lunch is below average, we never had dinner here as we wanted to have good food at least once a day. Very limited parking, first come first serve.

Outstanding hospitality, all inclusive has the Barbados vibe. All inclusive great but my stomach is so full 😂. They have a swimming pool, gym, room service, access to a beach minute walk away, surfing, snorkeling, race horses. Plus access to their sister hotels in group which offer sauna etc. just a jump on the small buses that are a short walk to the end of the road. Staff great, a more traditional feel, has entertainment every other night. Made you feel welcome. Initially thought was a bit quiet however realised we needed some downtime. Access to main town a short walk or bus has all local amenities petrol station, pharmacy etc. Horse racing and museum local plus of course rum tasting. Definitely going back. Seems a lot of money but we needn't have spent anything else. Our choice.

I planned an engagement here on our vacation and Sophia was so kind and accommodating. She was always very responsive and had some really great ideas.
We loved the food at the Sunset Restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner. And Kareen at the pool bar was a delight.
The room was my favorite part. We stayed in an ocean view loft and when I say it was ocean front, it was! Couldn’t have dreamt of a better view. Rooms were clean as well.
The pool was nice, clean, and refreshing.
The only parts that could use improvement was the friendliness of some staff, and some things starting on the times as advertised.
We would go back in a heartbeat!

Loved our trip to Club Barbados. We had a large second floor room overlooking the gardens and pools. The only improvement we would like was to have more easily accessible plugs, they were all on the floor behind/under furniture.
The service was great, really friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't like was the constant use of plastic straws. We found the food really nice, well cooked and presented, with plenty of variety. The drinks kept flowing.
Location was near ideal, walking distance to Holetown, no direct access to a sandy beach, only if you are prepared to walk across a 10 meter stretch of rocks in anything upto waist high water, but do that and you gain access to a beautiful quiet sandy beach with clear blue water. The rocky section did provide access to a lovely clear snorkeling area with a wide variety of fish and even eels and octopus. Anyone with mobility concerns may want to stick to the nice pools.
This is a lovely place to visit, I would recommend this to anybody.

We are leaving today after 8 nights at The Club Barbados and we honestly cannot think of one negative to say about it. I’ve just read a previous review who said it felt like a holiday camp - i’m shocked because nothing could be further from the truth! The food is top class - we haven’t had a bad meal the whole holiday. Every single member of staff is so friendly and happy to chat with everyone. The bar and waiting staff work so hard and always have a smile and a chat. Thanks to waitress Vembe for rescuing my phone that I left at breakfast! The pool area is beautiful and chilled. The 2 pool guys are great! The gardens are well looked after and our room was perfect with a lovely big balcony. There is a lovely lady working in the little hotel shop - but because the door is shut it always looks closed so we never saw anyone but us go in! Its a shame the beach was washed away in the storm a couple of years ago - you wonder if it would be worth them dredging the sand to make a beach again as that would be the only thing we can possibly think of that would improve the hotel for beach-loving people. It didn’t matter to us! This hotel has a lovely laid-back Barbados vibe and we really can’t recommend it enough. We went for Afternoon Tea at Sandy Lane hotel next door - and while it was beautiful there, we couldn’t wait to get back to The Club Barbados!! We have had a lovely holiday.

So... The service from when we arrived until our time of departure had diminished dramatically. I'm not exactly sure who we upset to be treated as such. We requested a room change due to mobility issues and not being able to climb several flights of stairs. Then, our second room had mold and mildew growing inside the shower. There was also no retaining wall to stop the bathroom floor from flooding while using the shower as well. Our third room was on the ground floor beside 5-6 A/C units that blasted heat into our beach view seating area, which completely ruined spending any time out there. The worst of it all was missing the beginning of my father's funeral because the taxi that we reserved 24 hours ahead of time did not show. The replacement taxi came 10 minutes later than we requested AND took us to the wrong church. I was not able to say my final goodbye to my Dad due to the casket already being shut by the time we arrived 11 minutes late (originally, we would have arrived 30 minutes early). They did reimburse us the taxi fee, but no amount of money can change what was taken from me in that moment, and I'm truly distraught. We are utterly lost for words at the blatant rudeness of some of the staff members. For working at a resort, we are surprised by how some of the staff members have such terrible attitudes and poor customer service skills.

Lots of mixed reviews on this hotel, based on my experience some of the staff were very rude. While waiting for breakfast, one of them muttered, ‘how nasty these people are,’ referring to guests at the coffee/tea station because a teabag wrapper was left on the table. My family and other guests were waiting nearby, which made this even more unprofessional. The food is horrible, horrible can’t express how bad the food was. My husband sat down for breakfast and almost fell off the chair because it was broken. The food utensils, cups and plates are very, very old. Now there are some of the staff that were so kind and helpful and would at least smile and answer nicely. I must mention the person in charge of the activities, Desiree, she is amazing and very friendly made our fishing experience exceptional. I would however not recommend this hotel and would definitely not be back. You can tell based on the amount of bad reviews that this hotel doesn’t care to improve or about their standards. It’s definitely not worth the all inclusive package.

Just arrived back to the UK after spending 10 days. I can honestly say we had a fantastic experience. The views and location to the beach are some of the best you'll ever see. The service from all the staff was as good as anywhere else I have been, if not better. The food was delicious with many options to choose from and rotated regularly. The roasts meats were particularly my favourite.
We were made to feel welcome. The other guests / family's of all ages at the hotel were all very friendly and a real holiday atmosphere was pressent the whole time making it even more enjoyable.
A lovely little gift shop too, selling trinkets and basic essentials.
I would highly recommend the Beach Club. Well done to all the staff there, you should all be proud of yourselves, thank you.

Rooms are nicely furnished, they are described as 'king size', but they just normally sized rooms. Good view overlooking the pool, but you get the deafening noise from the sound system. Better to be on the other side to enjoy the sunrise. The staff can be quite abrupt and unsmiling, apart from our cleaner, Rachel. She was a star, she should be training the rest of the staff in interpersonal skills. The location is brilliant, right on the amazing beach. The took almost a £1000 extra for taxes from us when we arrived, which had already been paid. It took a week to get the money ba k, they didn't even apologise. Food is okay, the wine is better than last year, but nothing special. Food hygiene is poor. There are still birds flying around the food serving area. The walls beside the omelette hot plate are dirty, and could not be clean as the tiles are cracked.

My husband and I just returned from Barbados yesterday. We had the pleasure of staying at the SoCo hotel. From beginning to end, the staff were incredible. The rooms were clean and spacious enough. But the view of the ocean from every room is incredible. We stayed on the high floor, which is the fourth floor, and had a great view.
They offered delicious gourmet food for breakfast lunch and dinner. It is all inclusive, so drinks were top notch and served by the best bartenders on the island. On Wednesday don’t miss the wine tasting with Michelle. Don’t plan on going anywhere after that. Shane is the personality of the bar. He is so much fun to hang and talk with. Zach is extremely fine as well, if you get a chance, ask him to play some of his guitar for you. Or maybe not, he’ll kill me for that, but he can play! I love the fact that this hotel is boutique. It makes the vacation more intimate and personal, we met many people whom I hope will become lifelong friends! Did I mention you literally walked down the stairs and you’re on the beach if you prefer to get away from the pool. I need to mention Trudy, in room service, her smile is infectious and so is her spirit. You will know her when you meet her.. I also would like to mention Shequilla and Michelle Who were two of our great servers every day. And Lolene I feel very strong connection to her and she helped make my vacation very special. Last but not least, we had the pleasure of meeting the general manager Kimberly Taylor. What a pleasure it was to meet you, too bad it wasn’t Earlier, and not when we were leaving. I see where the class comes from in that hotel. Thank you for making our stay so special and we will hopefully see you again in October when we bring friends back. My husband and I just returned from the best vacation we have ever had and a lot of that is because of The SoCo Hotel. It’s the perfect place to stay for a romantic getaway! The location is perfect, the views are breathtaking, food is superb and the staff are completely wonderful. They treat you like family. You can snorkel right outside your hotel. I told them it was our anniversary and they decorated it so beautifully for us. A big thanks to the two girls that decorated our room so beautiful. Also a big thanks to Zack for the delicious drinks and making us feel at home. They went above and beyond. We will return next year. Thank you for making our anniversary so special!!!

What can I say… Before arriving at Mango Bay Hotel, I read a mix of reviews and had a few concerns—but rest assured, this is a truly lovely boutique hotel that offers a unique experience, far removed from the typical chain resorts.
The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and even include evening turndown service. Despite the hotel being fully booked, it never once felt busy or crowded thanks to the small number of rooms—adding to the peaceful, intimate vibe.
I’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels around the world, often with 10+ restaurants and all the commercial frills—but those can start to feel impersonal and stale. Mango Bay is different. The staff are what truly make this place shine. Huge shoutout to Donnel, Sebrina, Javier, Ray J, and Isobelle (one of the managers, I believe)—every one of them was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
The food was excellent, with à la carte dinners most nights and beach BBQs during the day. Yes, you could nitpick like some other reviews, but honestly—when it comes to value for money, Mango Bay is unbeatable. Sure, you could pay triple to stay at a big-name resort like Sandals, but it would be hard to top the beachfront location and overall charm of this hotel.
The location is another bonus—right in Holetown with easy access to nearby towns, and there’s even a new shopping centre just across the road.
I’ll absolutely be coming back—with the whole family next time!

Best value on the island. I checked out of the crane and into mango bay and so pleased I did. Isabella the guest service manager is a delight and really makes each guest feel special. We spent a week at the Colony Club Hotel in April 2024.
It was a lovely week and we had a good time.
There were lots of negatives and lots of positives!
One disaster is how unfriendly the staff are. With a handful of exceptions of nice staff, the majority of the rest were somewhere between ignorant and almost harshly unfriendly. Even when you approached the staff with a bright smile and "good morning", there was usually no warm or friendly response. We have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. And it wasn't just us who were treated so rudely, but all the guests.
I found two small birds kept in a barren cage next to the restaurant very unkind. This is good for nothing and terrible to look at!
The hotel is getting on in years, but is expected to be renovated from the end of April 2024.
The fantastic beach deserves a special mention! Unbeatably beautiful! The free water sports facilities are also great! The quality of the live music in the evenings (which changed daily) was excellent and provided a wonderful atmosphere during the very good food. The lush green gardens are just as beautiful.
So the possibilities are there!!! Probably being renovated now too... now if they could just find nice and friendly staff it could be great.

My wife and I have just spent 12 nights at the Colony Club hotel. It is probably the best experience in an hotel we have had. With great thanks to all the staff from the kitchen, waitresses,waiters and reception. We cannot mention them all by name but special notes for Brian , John and Monica who catered for our every need. Our experience here was not a good one. First the good points: we got into our room earlier than check in - some of the employees were very friendly - the views were very pretty - we had an amazing taxi driver who we were able to call upon a few times - our maid was wonderful and very thoughtful!!
The very wrong issues:
1. This building is not being kept up to a standard that matches the price you are charged. The outside of the buildings have rotted wood and black moldy stains.
2. The main pool was under construction ( they offer you some hotel credits for food etc.) once they finished the construction part of the pool they then started filling up this huge deep pool which meant we had little water pressure. It was not fun having to shower with such little water pressure.
3. The bathtub is very aged. The bathtub faucet was not working correctly - it was very difficult to change the water from bath to shower.
4. Room service would take too long to get ur order and then deliver it to ur room.
5. The television would not work at times. We had a remote that didn’t even have a back to it. The batteries were taped to keep them in.
6 The food was below average yet priced high.
So maybe it was timing but I will not be going back nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Cleaning staff left room open and unlocked during stay.
Room not cleaned properly, and not ready for check in. No communication skills.
Overall, understaffed and under-trained, and with very poor attitude.

Very friendly staff and good service. The beach is lovely with an excellent swimming area with good snorkelling right off the beach in a safety buoyed area. The beach is tree lined as well which is good for shade as well the usual beds and sunshades. Don’t worry if you don’t get a sea view room. All the rooms look into very lovely luxuriant tropical garden. Breakfast buffet was good though not so much choice if you are vegetarian (lots of eggs!). Drinks are on the higher end for Barbados.

My stay at The Abidah hotel was nothing short of awesome. From Nikki at check-in who made sure our welcome mat was placed to the bartenders Rico and Kyle who made our drinks with love and other staff. The room was beautiful, jacuzzi was relaxing and the food was awesome from breakfast to dinner. I will definitely recommend The Abidah Hotel!

I had many issues within the resort, the first major issue was the broken air conditioner I reported it many times as my mother has asthma and nothing was done until the last night of our trip. I was ensured a refund for this issue but every time I call the manager is "never there". Expedia reached out as well and the manager is not there. How can you manage a resort yet you're never there.
Another issue is the lady at the front desk the elderly lightskin one. She was very rude and likes to do things intentionally. She tried to charge us extra for a taxi ride which was not the same price we paid and she tried to make a lame excuse to justify herself.
We signed up for the complimentary dining experience at the sister location and nobody ever came to pick us up.
I did like the bartender and everything else at the resort was fine.

Whilst the hotel is nice in a good location, I found the service pretty poor. First of all when I arrived I was told that the hotel does not have porters to assist with luggage. In addition there were no trolleys. I had to carry my two suitcases and hand luggage by myself to the 4th floor. The hotel has one elevator. So if there is any fault with the elevator one has to walk up the stairs. A hotel of that size must have at least two elevators. Indeed, the elevator did have a fault yesterday and I had to walk up the stairs to the 4th floor. Today, when the room was cleaned the cleaner took the used towels away but forgot to replace them with clean towels. I had to call three times before someone eventually brought a clean set of towels, half an hour later. Lastly, at dinner earlier today, I ask for butter and it never arrived. The ladies in the dining room kept telling me it was coming but it never came. After 20 minutes I gave up. I doubt if I will ever stay in this hotel again.

Where do I begin? This place is absolutely AWESOME! My husband and I are world travellers and this is one of the best resorts we have ever been to. From the moment we checked in, Shawnice made us feel welcome (and she was also very helpful in booking our snorkeling trip). The food has been non-stop over the top; hats off to the amazing chef here, whose creativity and skill in the kitchen was top notch. In the restaurant, all wait staff were friendly and accommodating. A special shout out to two of their younger members, Christina and Kyle: keep doing what you do because you made us very happy. And, last but not least, a BIG star to the Wizard behind the Bar…Andreah. This gentleman understands the importance of stellar customer service. We appreciate you man.
Management at the Abbidah should also be acknowledged because, clearly, they have nurtured a caring responsive staff/team.

I recently spent 5 days at this resort in Barbados, and while the overall experience was truly amazing — with a clean environment, beautiful surroundings, and a staff that felt like family — there was one unfortunate incident that I cannot overlook.
The resort itself exceeded expectations in many ways. The grounds were well maintained, the amenities top-notch, and the workers went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. They truly became like family, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. I fully intend to return and make this my new go-to getaway spot.
However, I do need to share a serious concern. On our very first day, $300 was stolen from my guest’s belongings inside our room. We reported it immediately, but the response was disappointing. It took over three days for management to begin investigating, and during that time, one of the managers even laughed at the situation — which was incredibly disrespectful. The police weren’t contacted until much later, and although we were told the resort would handle the report, we were never given any follow-up or resolution.
We spent $4,400 on this trip and work hard for our money. To be violated in a place meant for relaxation is unacceptable. I strongly urge the resort to implement better employee vetting and background checks to ensure future guests don’t go through the same.
Despite this issue, we still enjoyed our stay and left with beautiful memories. But I hope serious improvements are made, because a resort that provides such a great experience otherwise should also ensure guests feel safe and protected.

Stayed here Christmas 2024. Had a great Christmas and New Year but when all the guests had left I really wasn't that impressed. The rooms we stayed in were lovely and beautiful views. Watching the sunrise every morning :). I found most of the staff rude and unwelcoming and the manager was meant to meet me regarding our room as it was rarely cleaned but she didn't even turn up to the meeting. Putting all that aside...the weather was lovely every day and we spent most of our time off the all inclusive resort and laughed with the locals. Sam Lords/Wyndham hotel is in the middle of nowhere so expect to travel 25 minutes to Bridgetown and surrounding areas where it is much better and great beaches.

This was my first time staying here. Decided to bring the wife for her birthday and baby moon and for us just to relax. We had a great time! The resort staff was very friendly and made sure we were good. The entertainment worked their asses off and made sure we had a good experience. The food was great! Ive seen a few reviews about the food being unsatisfactory.....i dont know what they're talking about. Check in and out was smooth. Ill be back

Nice hotel overall. Service is not 5 star, but there are many staff willing to assist you and ensure you are satisfied and a limited few that may not offer the best service. Evening entertainment was limited, but a good vibe. It doesn't feel like an all-inclusive hotel but they don't have enough restaurant options. The Castleview restaurant is better than you'd expect.
Negatives: There is a nasty smell coming off the beach as you walk near to it and you can't walk on the beach in the water due to the amount of seaweed that is washed up. Bars lack premium alcohol (except the Burnt Cask Rum bar which only has rum). Any room service is $25 per order! Also, house keeping crew are not consistent and despite having a nice suite booked, we never once saw the butler service offered during the 6 days we were there. It's hidden away without anything to do off the resort without driving a minimum of 20-25 mins.
Good value for Barbados, but not a repeat for us.

I had a really enjoyable stay here. Beautiful, modern and clean property, but some of the grounds need upkeep, which is unfortunate for such a new hotel.
The service overall was good, and our server at Castle View for dinner was top notch. Genuinely friendly and enthusiastic. Appreciate all the vegan options at the resort.
Rooms are bright, modern and spacious. Gym is moderately equipped, enough to get a decent work out in.
The pool area has plenty of seating and offers private nooks. The lantern pool bar leaves A LOT to be desired. Underwhelming in every way, like it’s an afterthought.
The beach is beautiful, but covered in seaweed. The hotel does not remove it so it just continuously piles up.
$25 room service delivery fee is outrageous and unacceptable.
Overall, a relaxing place to get away for a bit, but it’s not without its quirks.

Resort has a great layout and the rooms can accommodate families that want a little space. We had 2 bedroom 2 bath suite, King in 1 and 2 twins in the other. Easy and quick access from the airport. Staff was great and service was as expected from an All-inclusive. Only downside is the exact location on the coast is still on the Atlantic so a bit more windy and water was a bit more rough than other locations just around the island on the Caribbean waters side. Otherwise, great relaxing resort with both adult and kid friendly areas.

A big thanks to Damian for keeping the drinks coming all day on the beach! Thank you to Ciera and the all the staff and the managers at the Mahogany. Also, a big thank you to Kidijah at Cerulean! She was so personable and her menu suggestions were on point! A big thanks to the Manager and the staff at Cerulean. I also want to thank the front desk Manager Karin who helped me with a situation I had. The only thing you should know is that the waters are a little rough so swimming was not possible all the time but the pools were a great place to cool off. The jacuzzi was not hot and was not clean so I did not use it. The daily evening entertainment was really good. Great singers and musicians. Only suggestion is to maybe have entertainment that involves a little more audience participation/interaction. The entire experience was amazing. I would definitely go back to the Sea Breeze and the next time I will contact guest services to set up different experiences/excursions during my time there. Thanks again to the entire staff!

Amazing hotel, great location with amazing staff. Bedrooms were great, plenty of room. Couple of issues with shower and toilet but these were fixed immediately.
Breakfast and lunch were both exceptional. Dinner was more limited but also of a very high standard. Drinks, cocktails etc again excellent and service great especially around the pool areas.
Went out on the small sailing boat for about 40 mins which was free. Big shout out to Jimal who took us. Really great added bonus.

I decided to do this review while sipping a cocktail next to a breathtaking view on our last full day. We absolutely loved our time at this property. It was our first time in Barbados and won't be our last. I waned to take a moment to appreciate some of the amazing gems that work here at Sea Breeze:
STEVE - we first started our relationship in Cerulean but was gifted his presence today at the Flying Fish. Roger worked side by side with Steve and was just an absolute pleasure to be around. Chrisohn I also had the pleasure of meeting and felt so welcomed at this resort. Our time here also coincided with a trip from the USA sister friends - which made this trip an amazing experience. To those who I mentioned and may have forgotten - thank you so much!

Went here as a couple for a getaway first time to the island honestly speaking I chose this resort based on availability for me to use my Marriott points. I was a bit hesitant in booking because there were so many reviews that were polar opposite of each other from people staying at the exact same timeframe and just literally opposite reviews, but I was able to book an oceanfront room, which I always like to do and so I decided to go for it and I can tell you I would love to give this place a five star but honestly, it’s not a five star resort it does however, have five star potential I would say a lot of the five star has to come with updating the resort. It definitely is a good shape order resort, great location. The beach is rather small, but that’s not the resort‘s fault and I would never be negative toward the resort and the staff on something south of control I know in speaking with some of the locals, they said the island with hotels on that particular side have been dealing with the erosion of the beach, but the beach that is there is nice. It does sometimes feel a little crowded because the chairs and tables are a little close. The other side of things with the four star versus five star is the beach service is a hit or miss some days it was great some days you literally had to look around to see if there was even anybody still there ever a few times I literally walked up to the hotel bar inside to get drinks and take back down so they need a little work there But the majority of the staff there and I think this is the key for me while I was there one of the sister properties, if I recall correctly, the name was the colony house, which was come to find out a non-all inclusive. They had their people there working along side of the staff employees for waves, and I can tell you with great certainty the employees that work for waves 10 out of 10 I’ve been to a lot of resorts. I’ve been to some that are way more expensive than this and those employees Literally will do whatever you ask as long as it’s in their ability the colony house employees on the other hand, sometimes acted like they could care less, whether they even acknowledged you whether it be out on the beach in hotel bar in the restaurant so a lot of the negative feedback that I would have toward the staff would only be pertaining to the staff that was there during my stay From the colony house staff members, and you can clearly see who they are because they have Colony House on their shirts, which is different from the staff employees for the waves. The resort is uniquely laid out it’s split so all of your ocean front rooms are gonna be on the waterside and then there’s a road that basically goes around the island you gotta cross over that road to go to the other side of the resort the pool over there is definitely nicer more of a resort style pool. There’s a small pool on the Beachfront side, but it’s the family pool, which was never had one person in there a few times that we went in there just to cool off on the beach a slight negative they only have two restaurants there the one that is on the beach side was really good. We ate there Seven out of eight nights that we were there and I have to tell you the food that we had was amazing that menu literally changes on the daily. They do have their normal dishes, but then they have a regular change up daily of I would say most of the entrées and I read reviews that the food was horrible and this and that I consider myself a foodie and I enjoyed everything that I had. I’m not gonna say that everything Was 10 out of 10 but presentation and overall quality and taste of the food I thought was great and as I said, I would consider myself a foodie so take that for what it is the Indian restaurant across the road we went there the one night it was really good, but that menu does not change so we did go there the one night, but we never went back because we felt like we had what we wanted to try the first time we went and there was no need to go back The spa I thought was really good as well! We had an awesome stay at Waves Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the pools were beautifully maintained. Their service was top-notch from start to finish.
The food exceeded our expectations—especially the new onsite Indian restaurant, which was absolutely delicious. One great perk is that you also have access to the restaurants at nearby Marriott properties, though we didn’t take advantage of that this time since we enjoyed Waves so much.
The beach area is on the smaller side, which didn’t bother us, but if you’re looking for a large, sprawling beach, this might not be the best fit.
Two small pieces of feedback: the beach towels could use an upgrade (and were occasionally subbed out with regular bath towels), and a bit of music at the pool or beach would really enhance the vibe.
Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely come back!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Everyone who works here is very friendly. The food is very, very good especially for an all inclusive. I probably would not bring children but as an adult only resort, I highly recommend. If you are looking for a relaxing place to unwind, with a beautiful pool, nice beach, great service and food, Waves is for you.

Just returned home after a week's stay at Waves hotel after a cruise.
I had reservations about staying there after reading some very poor reviews after booking my stay. Let me reassure anyone who has doubts about this place it is fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised, I will be returning again.
All the staff are great so friendly and willing to make sure you have a great time. I must give a mention to a few people I had the honour to meet, Kim the general manager what a great team she has and she wants to know if things aren't what you expect so please speak to her, I did and she sorted it and gives feedback too.
Ryan operations manager, what a great lovely man, also interested in making your stay a good one. Eather works the egg station, what a lovely crazy lady, I'll miss her so much. If you don't know how to make a proper omelette visit Eather because she'll tell you 😀

Went on a girls trip and had an amazing time. The staff was amazing! From Ms. Cheryl in the kitchen, to Kevin, Daron, and Antoine, everyone was helpful and very pleasant. They had live entertainment and events right on the property which was great for days when you don’t want to leave, a well equipped spa and two pools. I would definitely recommend the Waves and will return in the future.

Sugar Bay I will always speak highly of you! This resort made my heart smile. It was my first time in Barbados and you guys made my dad,his best friend ,and I feel at home so much we didn't want to leave. The staff(every single one of you)is so well mannered, helpful, and attentive. My room,the resort,the spa, the restaurants,the entertainment,the pool,the beach,and the view was everything. I am a foodie and the food is to die for! Thank you to all the amazing chefs, and waitresses. There were so many tasty options every day. It's in a great location. I stayed for one week, by myself. The location was solid, and the amenities were nice. What really set's this hotel apart is the food, and the staff. The buffet consistently never failed to deliver - the best all inclusive buffet I've ever had. The staff all around the property, especially the reception and restaurant staff were very hospitable and kind. In particular, Donella from the restaurant was very friendly and did a great job!
There was a nice lively vibe which made it easy to socialize with other guests, since I was travelling alone.
The location is solid, and the beach is a 7/10. A lot of seaweed at some points and there is definitely better beaches further down, but not terrible either.
Overall, a very nice resort and value for money.

Sugar Bay exceeded my expectations by far!! It was our honeymoon and the best trip of our lives.
I'd recommend ground floor for best beach access. The room was stunning, bright and super clean!
I've never met a more kind, helpful, polite and courteous team of staff in my life.
The food, THE FOOD was incredible!! Lots of options, we don't eat red meat and we're able to fill up with healthy and filling options every meal.
We don't drink alcohol, and we were very surprised and happy with the mocktail lists at every bar.
We stayed on the resort a lot and made time for sun and swimming (the water is stunning and the sand is like powdered sugar), but we also walked every day at least once off resort and the area was safe, with friendly people everywhere and lots to see around.
Only regret is not staying longer, but I know we will be back.
I'll be recommending Sugar Bay forever.
Can't wait to go again.

If you’re looking for a resort with a cool Caribbean vibe, with the warmest and most attentive staff, with the most delicious all-inclusive food you will find, set on a world class beach (with shaded chaises readily available), then Sugar Bay is for you.
Sugar Bay exceeded any reasonable expectation we had. We have been to a few dozen all-inclusive resorts - nice ones - and the food here rivals the best. Not a bad meal. The folks who work here genuinely want to make sure every need and want is met.
Five stars well earned, Sugar Bay.

Absolutely outstanding experience!
From the moment I arrived, I was met by the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered—some even greeted me with a warm “hello” as they passed on their way to work. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing, which created a really positive and welcoming atmosphere.
I visited for breakfast and was blown away. The food was immaculate, beautifully presented, and constantly refreshed as items were taken. Every request we had was handled quickly and with a smile, and when we asked for extras, they were provided without hesitation.
The meal itself was superb, and the surroundings were equally lovely—calm, clean, and relaxing.
This was one of the most enjoyable breakfast outings I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend it and definitely plan to visit again!

Excellent hotel. Staff are so friendly and genuine always accommodating and kind. Food is very taste and well presented many choices from a la carte menu freshly prepared. Room was cleaned every day and always brought up whatever extra we asked( coffee, water etc) they do activities and water sports. The beach is beautiful and the water so clear that you can see the fish even without the mask . They always bring cold towels and cold snack while people sunbathe. Excellent in every way. Brilliant staff, barman, waitresses, chef, cleaners... all of them but Chantel really makes the difference🙂

Current arrangements for boarding the water taxi are dangerous.
Dine around includes lunch only at waves. Unless you pay for your own transport of an evening.
Room included a small lounge, bedroom with ensuite. All good but a shortage of plug sockets.
We were in a ground floor, just a hop, skip and a jump to the pool, bar and restaurant. Perfect location.
Pool - very nice, plenty of sunbeds and bar and restaurant service from your lounger.
Bar - great service with all your usual favourites.
Restaurant - at the start of our trip all meals were cooked to order. As the week progressed buffet meals were introduced for all three sittings. Personal preference is cooked to order.
Water activities - snorkeling, paddle boards, hobby cat, and water taxi to waves included.
Staff are very attentive and soon get to know you.
There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Awful hotel!! Due to stay here for 4 nights but checked out after 1. Would have checked out the same day if we hadn't been travelling 9 hours to get there.
This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed at and believe me invested in a lot of hotels.it is definitely not a 4-star hotel.
The rooms are outdated,verging on dirty. Our bathroom had mould and the toilet didn't flush.
All the staff were avoid of smiling and some came across rude. Everything seemed an effort.
The food was abysmal.A real lack of choice and quality. The evening buffet was horrific.got to the point I didn't bother eating and my wife left most of hers.breakfast was no better.
Checking in was another disaster.no warm welcome and a real poor first impression.the whole experience was terrible.
When checking out 3 dats early after explaining why I did not even receive any type of apology at all.Absolutely shocking!
I strongly advise staying somewhere else and don't waste your hard earned money on this place

The resort is in a nice location. The views are beautiful. Our room was ok, and the bed wasn’t bad. The bathroom was also fine. The fridge was rarely stocked and it was a struggle to get water bottles. We had to repeatedly go to the nearby coffee shop to get small bottles are water and bring it back to our room. There are two restaurants. One is open for a breakfast buffet and also opened for a sit down dinner. The other restaurant is only open during lunch time and is a buffet. The food during breakfast and lunch was fine. However the food for dinner was not impressive. The portions were very small. I ordered a steak one night with shrimp and was extremely surprised about how small it was and how there was only four small shrimp with it. The beach is beautiful. There are two separate areas on a large beach where you can sit with some nice chairs that have shade. There is only a small area where you can swim without hitting the rocks. There are water sports that are also free. We went kayaking and had a blast and also went tubing which was very fun. The pools are nice and the cave bar was a cool spot. We had a great time, but there is room for improvement.

We stayed at Crystal Cove for 7 nights during new year's. While the staff is very friendly and helpful, the resort is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED, dated, and needs a lot of TLC. It is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel, the rooms that arw not renovated are horrible (motel quality). I would not recommend going there, we were very disappointed of this place. Marriott brand suffered a big hit with is here.

What we loved:
• Friendly staff, very helpful.
• The beach and the ocean water are amazing
• weather was great
• The resort is small, so it never felt crowded
What we didn't like:
• The resort is very dated, everything is old and maitenance is not good.
• Staff is understaffed and overworked
• only 2 pools, both are small
• Food is not good. Variety is slim and quality is low. My kids did not have a lot of options, but the staff was always happy to make something they liked (like spaghetti)
• Everything feels like it is measured and many times stuff is out: sandwiches run out, towels in the pool, beads and strings in the kids club. Doesn't feel good, especially for the rate this hotel charges.
• Kids club looks old and worn out. But my kids enjoyed going there and do crafts
• Some rooms have been renovated at some point, so they are reasonable. The others are horrible, I wouldn't pay a dollar to stay in one of those.
• Loud music almost every night. If your room is near the speakers (like ours was), you will have a hard time getting your kids to sleep until the music stops (10:30 and even 11pm sometimes).
Our full story:
We arrived on 12/30/2024. The resort is about 40 minutes drive from the airport.
The front desk notified us that the room we booked (ocean view 1 bedroom suite) is not available (due to "maintenance issues") and we'll have to stay in connecting rooms (garden view) for the first night. The rooms were small, old, poorly maintained. The bathroom was dirty and disgusting, my daughter scolded her hand when she touched the hot water valve in the shower because the valve leaked.
The second day the manager took me to see our ocean view suite. This one was in better condition, it was renovated at some point in the past. But it looked small, so I said that from what I remember, there are 2 rooms in the suite. The manager then said this is a "junior suite", and that they don't have the oceanview 1 bedroom suite available until 1/3. He said he has a garden view 1 bedroom suite, we went to see it, but it was basically the same connecting rooms we stayed in, old and disgusting. We decided to take the junior suite, although it was small and pretty crowded for us. We did not get the room we booked for the entire stay (the manager did refund our stay based on the smaller room rate, but there was no additional compensation for their mishandling).
12/31, new year's eve, loud music from the main plaza until 1am(!!!). Our room shook because of the bass. I called the feont desk several times during the night to turn the volume down, but nothing helped. It was horrible, kids couldn't go to sleep. Reminder: this place considers itself "kids friendly".
Music continued almost every night, at least until 10:30pm, one time until 11pm.
Food: there are 2 restaurants, most nights only one operates, and you have to book in the morning for the time you want. Food was ok, not great or something to look forward to, some dishes were fine, some were not. Not a lot of options, for the kids too. Overall I would not say the food was good, but it was not terrible neither.
There is a coffee place that is opened all day until 11pm, coffee is pretty good and service is quick. They also have sandwiches there but only 4 options, and many times sandwiches ran out, so you have to come back later when they restock.
Bar: one bar, variety is not great, and quality is low.
Final thoughts:
We came for the great weather and the beach, and it was meeting our expectations. The resort, however, did not. The lovely staff made the stay better, but could not remedy the poor quality of the facility, especially for what they charge for it

Highly dissatisfied! Lucky I was there only for two full days. I went to the excursion booth to book horse back riding was told to be at the lobby for my taxi at 5am since I would be riding the houses durn sun rise. The guy was 20 mins late when he dropped my boyfriend and I off at the location there was no one there to greet us. There was a lady a little further down on the beach who was setting up food and coffee so I asked her where I would be going and she said the horses over there are not to ride they are just retired racing horses. I was highly upset that the cab driver took us back to the hotel. The guy at the lobby said someone would be at the excursion booth around 7am no one was ever there the whole day… I was then told by the guy working the front desk that he would relate the message for me to get reimbursed for the excursion, I never got to go on. Which I was never refunded and it was all a SCAM!!!! I will never return back!

we stayed here from the 19th December for Christmas .(one week) Loved the setting all the staff are wonderful, including the beach staff. The rooms are a bit tired but it is closing February for a refurb .
My concern was the management could not get anything right. although the place was not at full capacity they insisted on opening both restaurants at night , which meant all the guests were spread out , no atmosphere at all. Also it stretched the staff to run both places . Christmas night they had a singer but they made no effort to make it a special evening for the guests , which is a shame . Also the restaurant on the beach was so dark all the guests had to use their phones to read the menu and eat their food!!
There was also a family with 3 children that were told they had to w ait for the last sitting for dinner , when the restaurant was clearly not full!.
when we were leaving the manager made an appearance to ask us to write a good review!!
The management need to been trained to run a hotel and ensure the guests are happy .

My friend and I are in our 30's visiting from NYC. We discovered this very charming hotel online and where captivated by the images and offering this property is marketing. We love that this was by an area where the sea turtles frequently can be swimming and the water is crystal clear blue.
A Charming Boutique Stay with Room for Improvement:
The Property & Ambiance:
This is a picturesque, boutique-style hotel with lush landscaping, thoughtful decor, and a charming, tropical atmosphere. It reminded us a bit of The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, but more relaxed and laid-back. The grounds are well maintained, and the beach area offers stunning views and clear blue water—some of the bluest we saw in Barbados.
One thing to note: the beach loungers are not directly on the sand, but there is a stairway nearby to access the water for swimming. Bird droppings occasionally appeared on some cushions, a reality of the natural setting, though the staff did make an effort to clean and replace them regularly.
Spa Experience:
This is one area that really needs improvement. The property does not offer a full-service spa. There is only one massage therapist on-site, and appointments were fully booked by the time we arrived—even though we had tried to arrange treatments in advance via email and were encouraged to book upon arrival. This was disappointing.
We ultimately booked a mobile service (“Massage on Wheels”) with the hotel’s permission. That experience was excellent—professional and relaxing. We highly recommend Cobblers Cove consider expanding their wellness offerings to include a proper spa facility.
Service & Staff:
Service was a bit inconsistent and often slow—definitely “island time.” There wasn’t much proactive hospitality. For example, no one ever came around to offer drinks or food poolside—we had to get up and search for someone or go to the bar ourselves each time.
Staff attitudes varied. Some were warm and friendly—Dameon was particularly cheerful and helpful. However, others, particularly some older staff, came across as disengaged or even dismissive. One moment at the bar stood out: after placing an order, I overheard staff laughing and was told it was an “inside joke,”... One time an older staff member said something after I asked for something at the bar. And then they said something quickly and then bar tenders where laughing & I said what's so funny...and they said oh nothing "its an inside joke" ..but the locals at the bar sitting there where laughing too..so it couldn't have been just an inside joke.I am all for joking, laughing, and having an enjoyable time. But, If your not laughing with guests & they have to ask and you say it's an "inside joke" then they feel your laughing at them or complaining about them this is a really unprofessional behavior esp. as a more senior employee. It left me feeling not so great.
Portal:
The booking/reservation portal never worked for us, which made planning ahead frustrating. If functional, this would significantly improve guest experience and organization.

We had the best time here, the decore, the rooms, the food, the staff, literally everything was so gorgeous. We love boutique hotels, and this has been one of our favourites so far. The entertainment on the evening is subtle and very classy. Again, we like nice background noise, rather than in your face. The staff make it overall, they are all local staff and thier chilled energy and way off life is definitely helps you unwind. The view for breakfast is breathtaking, and the food is so fresh. I highly recommned this hotel.

Very uninterested staff, almost arrogant waiters. Most kind and nice were guys at the bar. Clean and comfortable rooms. No guest relations at all. Breakfast poor and greedy - buffet - bread and simple carbs. No fruit. Limited to 2 eggs per person. Looks more like nursery house. Practicality no swimming pool- a little more like a bath was near of the dining area. Souvenir shop mostly closed.

Having stayed at various hotels around Barbados, we were advised to try Cobblers Cove—and thank goodness we did! From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. Although our initial room wasn’t to our taste, the staff promptly relocated us to a beautiful and more suitable room, setting the tone for an incredible week of bliss.
Cobblers Cove quickly felt like home, and the staff truly became friends. Special thanks to the housekeeping team for keeping our room immaculate throughout our stay, even as I returned from diving, paddleboarding, fishing, and other excursions. Your attention to detail was truly appreciated!
Bradley at the water sports outlet was a standout. Not only is he an amazing person, but his tips on snorkeling, finding turtles, and the best fishing spots made our adventures unforgettable. And Virgil at the bar—what an absolute gem and a true statesman. His warmth and professionalism elevated every moment.
The hotel’s design and attention to detail are second to none, perfectly blending with the stunning environment. The flora and gardens are breathtaking, and kudos to the grounds team for maintaining such an incredible space.
Cobblers Cove is cared for with genuine passion by a team that excels at what they do. Thank you all for putting up with us and for creating memories we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return and see you all again soon!

Cobbler’s Cove deposit repayment
I paid a substantial deposit in March 2024 for a stay at Cobbler’s Cove, Barbados from January into February 2025. Unfortunately due to my wife’s failing health I found it necessary to cancel our holiday. Following a phone call to the hotel from myself, I was assured I had cancelled within the time limit to receive a full refund of the deposit, late November 2024, as I recall. This can be proven to be correct by the email string I have on the subject from the hotel front desk manager.
I paid the deposit of £7,856.19 on an HSBC debit card, which shortly after I paid was lost in an ATM machine. The hotel told me payment could only be made to the card which was used to make the original payment. Rather difficult as the card doesn’t exist anymore. Despite me suggesting alternative methods of repayment the hotel has been intransigent in insisting payment can only be made to that card. I asked a pal who was on the island in January 2025 to give a letter I wrote for the attention of the general manager, to the front desk manager. In the letter I suggested payment could be made to my solicitors on the island and they could pay me. Not even a response to the letter!!
Early February 2025, I am still nearly £8K out of pocket and no sign of repayment being made. I will now be consulting my solicitors on the island but not before giving a one star review to a hotel I never actually got to stay in.
12/2/25 Update:
As well as not replying to the letter that was hand delivered to the general manager via the front desk, the hotel general manager now denies receiving an email from my solicitor. Maybe their IT system is as dodgy as their customer relations!!
They now say they will accept certified passport and bank documents from my solicitor if couriered to them. I'm not holding my breath but hopefully this will do the trick.
14/2/25 Update:
The general manager having received the documentation I refer to above - certified copies of passport and bank statement - has now referred my repayment to the accounts department; they want more documentation from my solicitors. Not unreasonable on the face of it, you might say, but it has taken over two and a half months to arrive at this point. Refunds policy, not fit for purpose, springs to mind. I will have my solicitor present the further documents they want and wait to see what further hoops they wish me to jump through.
21/2/25 Update:
Received full refund of deposit. Yipee!!
You have been warned, it's easier to pay Cobbler's Cove than it is to get your money back from them, and what you would do if you didn't have a solicitor on the island, God only knows.
Partly my mistake for using a debit card instead of a credit card, so I have changed my one star rating to a two.

I can't even begin to describe my experience at Sandals Royal and Sandals Barbados. The entire crew at both resorts are absolutely incredible! I have never experienced such amazing service. Every single person we ran into was so accommodating and helpful. No one ever let you stand around wondering where you were going, someone was always there to lead the way and accommodate you every step of the way. The bartenders, waitstaff, concierge staff, photo staff always went out of their way to help and put a smile on your face. Also, every single person was so incredibly friendly! The Piano Bar bartenders and piano player were hands down my favorite people ever! AMAZING SERVICE!! The hotel manager even reached out directly in the Gina app! Love love love this place and will be back! Well done to every single person who works at these resorts!!
Also, do a Captain Larry tour! Chris, Aka Mr. Nice Guy was an amazing tour guide and he 💯 lives up to his name!

Once we arrive, the concierge was pleasant and helpful. When we made our dinner reservations (Camille) was very helpful. When they took us to our room, the room was an oceanfront room, but the trees blocked the view of the ocean. Our room was clean but it needs to be refreshed.
Now, the not so good parts of our experience.
Our experience eating at several restaurants was not good. The food (main entree) took an hour to get to our table and the food was just warm. This happened during breakfast and dinner. Then on Thurday night, the water was off - No water until later that evening without warnings.
When you pay for a Sandals Resort experience, you expect the best service.
I felt like you paid for a Great Experience, but you only got a mediocre results. Many people here are saying the same about the experience here. The only reason I came back to experience Sandals because of the Great Experience we had in St. Lucia (Halcyon Beach). The staff, food and service was amazing.

The service was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.The grounds were beautiful and well cared for. The beach was nice but the ocean was rough. So no water sports. All the bartenders went out of their way to make sure I had my drink, absolute vanilla vodka with tonic water. We had couples massage outside and it was amazing! The only negative for us was getting reservations to the restaurants that required it. Also, kimonos was a big disappointment. Our food was awful. Not sure if it was the chef or what but it’s not what we expected as we have been to Kimonos at other Sandals. All the other restaurants were very good. Loved lunch at Neptune’s. All in all, it was a great vacation!

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in Sandals Royals Barbados. We had great service, and enjoyed our walk our pool and the staff was amazing. Christopher a chef at Kimonos was great, cooked very good food and was interactive the whole time. Super happy and enjoyed the night. Oshin was our server at a candlelight dinner server. She was on top of everything, getting our food and stinks quick and efficient. Dwayne and another photographer went over and beyond getting us great photos of our trip. Definitely can’t wait for our next visit.

Warm and friendly staff
The food and drinks were top notch except for butches. They were a bit of a disappointment. Everything was super salty and inedible. Resort activities were plentiful, fun and exciting. The bowling was fantastic with a hype crew staff to make it even more memorable. As always the silent disco was a hit. There were multiple pools and there were ample loungers both at the pools and on the beach. The firepits were romantic and the nighttime entertainment was wonderful.

We found the resort to be very gay-friendly, so would encourage any members of the LGBTQ+ community to visit.
We had such a wonderful stay and have to give a huge thank you to our Butlers - Latoya, Nadia and Shameka - for making our stay extra special. They sorted all our dinner reservations for us, walked us to the restaurants at night, reserved our favourite spot by the pool, brought us over surprise drinks throughout the day and delivered lunch to our sun loungers. They would often leave little surprises for us to go back to the room to - such as a cheese plate and a drawn bath with champagne on ice.
The resort is huge and the number of food options is incredible - every meal we had was delicious, but I would particular shout out to Bombay (the Indian restaurant) and Chi (the pan-Asian restaurant). The spa was lovely too and we had very relaxing massages and facials.
The rooms were spotless and the layout was great because the bathroom felt private (unlike other hotels we’ve stayed at that can feel too exposed). Our room had a tranquility soak tub on the balcony too, which was the epitome of luxury!
Next time we will pay extra for private transfers because we didn’t like the mini-buses that shuttled people to and from the airport.
The only part I wouldn’t recommend is doing the Rum Historical Tour through “Island Routes” - it was boring and far too much time was spent in the car. We felt like it was a waste of money.
We have already booked to come again next year at their on-site Travel and Loyalty section where you can bag yourself a really good deal!

The staff was professional and courteous with everyone. Food was delicious as I expected it to be. Nightly entertainment was creative. Daily pool side activities like volleyball and aerobics in the pool. Room refrigerator was replenished everyday at 10 am. Red lane spa gave the best facial and massage.

very beautiful resort. Our room was oceanfront and was nice and spacious. The food was amazing at all the restaurants Service was a bit slow though. we had a few problems with our stay such as a telephone not working in a toilet not working at first. We spoke to Dexter the manager and he was very helpful taking care of the issue promptly. I highly recommend this resort if you'd like all inclusive stays as the food was phenomenal and the staff are also very kind.

As with all my reviews I compare them against my expectations as set by the price and what the place promises before I arrive. In this case for Sandals they pitch as an ultra all inclusive and pricing is considerably more than an average all inclusive so I expected just that.
This review is pretty lengthy so here's a summary for those that don't have the time. If you have already booked this resort you are still going to have a good time. There are a few niggles and if you have been to other Sandals resorts, i'm not sure this one is quite up to the same quality of the others, but all in all the staff are friendly, the food was mostly great and we still enjoyed it. Many of the niggles I had will not apply to Butler Level guests.
For those with more time here are some of the facts from our experience:
Arrival
As Club Level guests (not Butler), we received a warm group welcome in the lounge. Our room wasn’t ready as we arrived early, but the concierge kindly took us to lunch at the Jerk Shack. We were disappointed by the lack of Sandals Loyalty recognition—no welcome pack, no invitation to the loyalty dinner, and we only learned on the last day that member discounts applied to photos and shop purchases. Be sure to mention your membership upfront when spending ANY money on resort.
Room
Our room in building 11 was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with a good-sized bathroom. Housekeeping was mostly fine, but sheets weren’t changed for the first 4–5 days until we asked, and replenishment of coffee, towels, etc., was inconsistent. Cleaning seemed to happen late each day. Turndown service was offered just four times in our 12-night stay. Minor issues included a phone mislinked to another room and a bathroom door that wouldn’t stay shut—nothing major but not expected for luxury all inclusive.
Food / Restaurants
Food was generally good. Butch’s, Dino’s Pizza, and Kimono’s were highlights. Portion sizes have shrunk to reduce waste, but you only realise this when meals arrive—sometimes mains were smaller than starters, though staff were happy to offer extras. Restaurant bookings were frustrating; the earliest we could book was nearly a week in, which would be tough on shorter stays.
Service at the British pub was great under one staff member, but it declined once he left, with long waits and missed orders. Staff were friendly throughout, though interactions felt scripted. We waited daily at non-bookable restaurants—often up to an hour—despite empty tables not being cleared in time. It felt like the resort was over capacity for its facilities. On the bright side, Azisa at the doughnut and coffee shop was fantastic—friendly and remembered our orders.
Pools
The pools were clean and well-kept, with attentive staff and decent drinks. Loungers were padded and comfy—but hard to find. On three mornings we couldn’t get a shaded spot, even by 8:10 a.m. Sandals really needs more loungers and umbrellas to match guest numbers. Pool floats were almost nonexistent—just three total—mostly monopolised by swim-up guests.
Poolside drink service was poor until our final days, when a standout staff member, Shermano, provided excellent service at the quiet pool. He was friendly and made a great Bob Marley cocktail—others could take note.
Entertainment
Entertainment was enjoyable with fun daytime activities at the main pool. However, it was repetitive—expect the same shows and games in week two as in week one.
Beach
The beach had soft white sand and plenty of available loungers. Unfortunately, the sea was red-flagged most days. The breakwaters made things worse by trapping seaweed and creating choppy conditions. Swimming wasn’t pleasant, and the water wasn't clear. For a better beach, Carlisle Bay was beautiful and worth a visit.
Overall I felt there were not enough staff / facilities to meet the number of guests at the resort.
I don't think this is a bad resort I just don't think it had the Luxury level that i expected and have had at other Sandals resorts. Frustratingly a lot of this is fixable if Sandals invest just a small amount!

Our room on the 6th floor has an amazing view. I can not say enough about how good and fresh ALL the food was!! I do mean EVERYTHING, from the smoothies to the steaks! The staff and crew are extremely polite and very helpful with everything!

Just came back from a lovely week at O2. We stayed in the Sunrise building where we had a gorgeous ocean view and a beautiful large balcony with comfy furniture. The staff at the hotel are incredible, so accommodating and so friendly. The food is good. We loved dining at Oro and went there twice. We also were happy with the options at Elements. The one meal we didn’t love was at Brisa, but it’s all inclusive, so you can go have another dinner! I really enjoyed the Oasis bar where I got iced coffees and banana milkshakes. The swim up bars were fun too. The beach was beautiful but the water is a bit rocky, so I wish I had brought water shoes. The resort is a short walk from nightlife in St Lawrence Gap. We had a great time and hope to return.

Our stay at O2 Beach Resort and Spa was nothing short of incredible. From the delicious food to the beautiful facilities, everything was absolutely top-tier—but what truly made our trip unforgettable were the amazing people.
We met Thandeka on our second-last night, and even in that short time, her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression. Holando, our poolside bartender, was one of the highlights of our trip—friendly, genuine, and always ready for a great conversation. Chef Simone at Brisa is a true talent—her food was extraordinary, easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Shakera was always smiling and made us feel instantly at home, while Lael, our concierge, was incredibly helpful and attentive, handling every detail with care and professionalism.
And Damisha…. simply an angel. We met her early in our stay and felt an instant connection. Every time we crossed paths, she greeted us with the warmest smile and kindest energy—it truly meant a lot.
Everyone we encountered, even those we haven’t named, played a part in making this the best experience we’ve ever had. The team at O2 is something truly special.

My family had a wonderful time here. I was worried it wouldn’t be family friendly but it was absolutely perfect! (They have an adult only side and a kid friendly side) Loads of activities for families too! Food was great. Rooms are stellar. Views are amazing. Beach a bit rocky but still gorgeous.

Not the luxury resort we were expecting. From the onset the reception staff was not accommodating. They ranged from pleasant but not helpful to a bit surly. The service staff on the other hand was very pleasant. Two of the pools were attractive but because of their odd shapes were not meant for swimming, just dipping. The third was on a rooftop and small, but cozy. While the food was included, it was only available during certain hours. If you missed the breakfast or lunch hour the only option was a grab and go cellophane wrapped sandwich or granola. Rooms and internal hallways were stark and on the industrial side but the bed was comfortable and the shower large and accommodating. Apparently they have a shortage of towels and we could never get the additional wash cloths we requested. Because of its location the waters here are choppy, not the calm Caribbean Sea we looked forward to. Also, the resort is located in a very crowded somewhat run down part of Barbados. In the past we stayed in the area north of Bridgetown and that is where we would go in the future.

We had a very relaxing time at the O2 and glad we chose this for our first time in Barbados.
It’s a 15 mins taxi ride (53BBD on way to hotel, 80BBD on way back) from the airport. From the outside it does not look like a 5 star hotel and is on a road with lots of local restaurants and bars. Inside the experience is of beauty and luxury.
It’s a small resort and had everything we needed. Very clean. Typical crowd: middle aged some with children (10 years +). Very few young children during our stay in the Easter school holidays. Not much to do for younger kids. Music in the evenings was mellow. Ended by 10pm. Few activities and some are not inclusive. Plenty of bars and restaurants for a small resort. No problem booking restaurants for dinner. 3 pools which are good to cool down in but not for serious swimmers. Great pool bars. Amazing cocktails. The ocean area is small so you can’t really have long beach walks and the sea is too rough to swim in. Great if you want to take in the sun, ocean sounds with a cocktail or two! Friendly bar staff and some pool/beach side service.
The rooms are good sized with large bathrooms. We had a room in the adults only section overlooking the pool and ocean. Beds were great. Amenities not restocked which was a let down and housekeeping hit and miss. Soundproofing not great. AC worked well which was a nice relief from the humidity.
The best thing about this resort is Oro restaurant. A truly luxurious experience. The other restaurants were fine and the food was generally good. They accommodated dietary requirements better in some restaurants such as blufin (thanks chef Paul) and Oro. You can pre-order food if you know what you want to eat. Being on holiday, I prefer a break from thinking about what to cook so personally would prefer some options I could choose from. Food in buffet did not show allergens which made it trickier to find safe food to eat without someone to guide us. Quite often the servers did not know the ingredients so they had to find a chef.
Overall it was a great experience. For another trip to Barbados I’d definitely explore other parts of the island but no problem recommending O2 as a good hotel if you don’t want to be too far from the airport.

One of the best hotels on the island! For an all inclusive hotel it is really a great place. Not the typical tourist trap... Will book it again next time I come ;) all rooms are right at the beach, turtles came by at night to nest. The food was delicious and they have two more properties next door, where you can eat as well.
Rooms always cleaned up and fresh towels. Just perfect. Also no kids! So good to be in silence and enjoy the atmosphere

The House was a wonderful situated boutique hotel on the most beautiful beach. The staff was very attentive and very sweet. A shout out to Andrew and Kobie (spelling on Kobie). They were great at their jobs and were so personable. The food was great and the bar was always hoping. From oysters and champagne on the beach to the rum punch being served beach side, we had a fabulous time.

My husband and I stayed at this resort for our Anniversary. We were very disappointed in the customer service. They gave us a room that did not lock. Only the first door locked not the second door that’s used to enter the room. We had to push furniture up against the door to feel safe the first night because no one could help us. The next day we communicated with them about our door not locking so they assured us it would be fixed. My husband and I went back to our room after being provided a different key. The door was already unlocked so we assumed the key was working. We left back out for awhile and upon entering our room the second door did not lock. We made CS aware and they again told us they had it fixed. Well my husband seen the staff climb over the balcony and went in thru the patio door to unlock the door so we could enter our room. Once again no one was available to fix the lock. Again we had to push furniture up to the door to feel safe. Next issue the room had a smell. It reminded me of a sewer smell. We asked staff if we could change rooms and they told us the resort was sold out. So we was forced to stay in that room with sewer smell. Lastly, we scheduled a massage a week before arrival. When we went down to the spa no one was there. We waited there almost an hour an no one showed. They finally told us the lady who works in the spa called in. I asked why weren’t notified instead of wasting an hour of our day sitting here. No one had an answer for us. Our Anniversary trip was ruined. Not to mention the amount of money spent to get to Barbados

I am incredibly disappointed with the management of the Elegant chain . We had a confirmed booking at Waves Barbados, but they changed our hotel last minute, offering us their sister property, The Coral then The House etc. This was extremely inconvenient and caused a lot of stress as we had planned everything around staying at Waves.
To make matters worse, communication was dreadful. They took ages to reply to our emails, leaving us in the dark and anxious about our accommodation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially given the reputation and cost of staying at such an establishment.
I sincerely hope our stay improves, but this has left a very bad taste in our mouths.
Avoid if you want a hassle-free vacation.
