Great location on Saint Lawrence Gap, situated near lots of eateries. Room 314 very nice, not noisy at night as people have reported previously. Pool nice and happy hour every day by the pool when drinks are very cheap. Room large with 2 queen beds and kitchenette where we have jam on toast for breakfast. No beach at the front of the hotel but beaches are only a short walk.

For the price, they definitely deserve the 5 stars. The hotel is a bit outdated, but that's to be expected, especially after seeing the pictures online. They describe the hotel perfectly. My favorite part is the sense of freedom you feel at the hotel. They let you do you, for example I brought a travel fishing rod with me and they had no problem with me fishing off the Jetty right behind the hotel. Fished there every night and even made friends with locals that fish that spot frequently. Besides that, you are less than a 5 minute walk from over 10 restaurants, bar, convenience store, suvinear vendors, beaches and more. At night, food vendors set up making the famous GAP burger, definetly give that a try 😋 delicious after a night of drinking. If you want to explore the island, there's tons of taxis ready. No one harrases you or asks you for money. Felt super safe walking the streets at night.

The rooms are nice and spacious. The staff is polite. However, the location in St Lawrence Gap is far less than ideal due to excessive noise from neighboring bars. Good luck trying to sleep until 3 am.

Had a lovely stay at The Rostrevor and couldn’t ask for more really. The rooms are clean and spacious, the kichenette is really useful to, you get the luxuries of a hotel but whilst having your own space. I’d recommend upgrading to one of the rooms in the newer part of the hotel. The pool area can get quite busy but there are plenty of sunbeds (half are beige big ones and half older blue plastic ones). Whilst the hotel is a little outdated it has a real charm and is in a great location a stones throw from bars and restaurants. The breakfast/lunch offerings at the almond tree restaurant in the hotel is very affordable and is very good. All in all we had a lovely stay at The Rostrevor and will be back in the future.

The hotel seems a little tired. We were very unimpressed with our treatment by the staff. It was made very obvious to us that since we were not regulars, they really didn't care about us. We were not given basic information when we checked in: laundry facilities, towel exchange, etc. No one was rude, they just made us feel unwelcome, especially when we heard them greet a couple that are regulars.

Lovely spot right on the beach. We had a sea view which was just gorgeous. Other people reported issues with fresh towels but we were only there 4 days 3 nights so didn't change ours for environmental reasons. Vegan food a slight issue but again we did B and B rate as wanted to spend our money eating benefitting the local businesses so not an issue. Staff very helpful locating almond or soya milk for breakfast. Room was huge aircon excellent TV plenty of choice. Lovely outdoor pools always got a sunbed no problem. We would definitely come back

We had high hopes for Accra beach hotel, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.Our daughter got sick on the plane and was throwing up constantly. Her being so weak, we just wanted to check in and get her rested. From the start, check-in was a disaster — we had to wait nearly two hours because they didn’t have clean sheets ready for our room. After a long day of travel, this was not the welcome we expected. Things didn’t improve once we got to our room. The rooms are very dated and not particularly clean. It felt like they hadn’t been properly maintained in quite some time. To make matters worse, we didn’t have any towels in the room. We requested them in the morning before heading out for the day, but when we came back around 4:00 PM, we still didn’t have any.Basically we had towel issues every day. For a beach hotel, not having towels available is unacceptable. The overall lack of organization and cleanliness really soured our stay. We definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be returning.

I really enjoyed my solo stay at Accra Beach. The breakfast was so tasty and the view lovely - friendly staff. However, pool bar service was poor the day I went so went to a nearby spot off property instead. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower fixtures could be better.

Amazing place on the beach. Public transport is easily accessible. The service was good. However, rooms can be upgraded a little. AC leaks, water settles on the bathroom floor. Yard was not cleaned. (room 210)

The best thing about this hotel is the location. I used to come every year before the pandemic. I was so excited to come here but I am disappointed. The jacuzzi in my oceanfront room is out of order. The place looks run down. The swim up bar is closed. The staff are so unfriendly with the exception of a few. It almost feels like a ghost town. It’s absolutely boring at night. There is nothing to do here. The rooms are still dated. I do love that it is right on the ocean, which is stunning. The food is also good and there are kiosks near the hotel and some restaurants along the boardwalk. The location is great but this hotel has gone down. The staff used to welcome you with a rum punch while you checked in… it felt so welcoming. Now they give you a ticket to get your free drink at the bar. Out of 3 bars, only one is open. I’m now searching for a new hotel to go to in the future. I have another 4 nights here. Hopefully, i will enjoy the remainder of my trip. Managers and staff need to step up before it’s too late. I have an emotional connection to this place. I fell in love with Barbados here, but I think it’s time for a change.

Had a week’s cruise first with Mirella Voyager - and a week at this Hotel, although rooms are a little dated they were spotlessly clean, the kitchen was very well equipped but we ate out every day so didn’t use the facilities. We would definitely use this hotel again

I hope we will have the opportunity to go back. There were 11 of us that booked here. The rooms were fabulous. The kitchenette had everything you would need. The resort was spotless and had a lot to offer. Furthermore, it was perfectly located for groceries, night life, beach, etc. All of the staff were super friendly and gave great recommendations. My only constructive criticism is that I would have enjoyed more music/events at the main pool area. More island music to enjoy while we swam and enjoyed our drinks. But, overall it was great!

Love the room and the location but restaurant service is horribly slow. Wanted to get lunch around 1:30. Got menus but no staff timely taking order. Gave up. This restaurant is losing money because of poor service. It's worse than last year. More staff or better training is needed.

Would not recommend staying here, while the location, views and beach are top notch. Overall, the hotel struggles with cleanliness and staff friendliness. Room service dishes from other rooms were left in the hallways for nearly 48 hours and only taken away after calling front desk multiple times. (Not even our food). Lobby tables and areas around the hotel seemed dirty and usually topped with garbage, cups or beer bottles. While guests should throw away things after themselves, coming down stairs at 8am to find beer bottles from the night before should be unacceptable from staff. Pool was murky, water/ice machines produced cloudy and unclear water and the AC broke down our last night. While not all staff, a good portion of staff seemed bothered when asked a question or simply by saying good morning. Again, not all staff but was sub-par for staying at any resort in the Caribbean. Best part was the beach, the cove is perfect and really beautiful, this was the savior and only reason to stay here. However, the staff does not regularly pick up towels or set chairs to know what is available. Again, if a person leaves the beach they should bring their towel with them, but staff could be more attentive to ensure people looking for chairs know what is available and what is not.

I usually stay at Hiltons for their consistency. The resort has a nice location with a private beach. They are also colocated with a dive shop called Barbados Blue which was a primary reason for visiting the island. The staff had been mostly kind and attentive but several occasions were hard to get there attention, especially at breakfast and their upscale dining. Breakfast is usually very nice. Recommend getting breakfast included to have a consistent experience and save a little money. I recommend avoiding the lunch and dinner experience at the resort. Too expensive, too slow, and too little for the money. The beach is nice but beware of the surf and rocks. The shallow areas are fine up to your knees but go beyond your waist and there are painful rocks that are hard to stand on. There are better beaches including the adjacent areas of Carlisle Bay. This property is aging and had several failures while we were there. The AC system throughout the hotel failed one night. The hot water system was unpredictable. And, the elevators were regularly in disrepair. I might go back but then again I would consider other resorts to see if they can exceed the benefit vs cost.

Stayed here for 4 nights. I did not have super high expectations when we booked. The best part about this hotel is the location and how beautiful the beach and water are. Water view from the room is beautiful. Other than that this hotel is completely lacking. The pools were green, slimy and murky during our entire stay, so gross looking to the point I did not even want to go into the pools. They were working on fixing the pools the entire time to no avail. The tv in the room did not work. On our last night we were informed the at they air conditioning was not working in part of the hotel which included our room. The room got hot, humid and uncomfortable and was hard to sleep in. If this was not our last night we would have checked out. The ice and water machines on each of the floors were not working or had white murky water coming out of the machines. The hotel is not very clean or well kept generally. The room next to us had ordered room service dinner and the food sat on the floor of the hallway for over 36 hours, we eventually called to have the food trays removed and it was done but hours later. Breakfast at the hotel is relatively expensive and food is mediocre at best, best part is the egg/omelette station. Besides the beauty of Needham’s Point and Carlisle Bay I would not recommend this hotel.

CRUISE WITH KAZ AND NIGE

Spent the day here at the end of our cruise before our flight home. Day pass included a credit which covered a drink and light lunch. Great location near to the cruise port and airport. Staff were very helpful but busy so could have done with some more on duty. Loved the poolside loungers with plenty to choose from. Pretty beach and outdoor restaurant. Would consider this again after a cruise.

The hotel is beautiful. It needs some attention to detail as it has some age.The pool and beach area was very clean and we enjoyed the open concept space of the registration area. The restaraunt staff were pleasant and professional. We arrived early morning and were prepared to wait for our room to be ready but do not expect to have to wait beyond the normal check in time. We didn’t get a room until after 5 pm .Upon arrival and again due to the long wait time to get a room we were told that as Hilton honors members we would get an upgrade to our room. On the contrary, we got a room on the first floor with the view of the parking lot. Beyond the parking lot is water, but due to the large trees, there was no view. Smh

What a place to have lunch!! My sister, aunty and I came to the crane for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was perfect (a little rain) the service when we arrived was amazing. We were shown to a table with in moments of us arriving. Our servers were very accommodating. Anything we needed it was provided. The views from our table were just beautiful. The food was very nice and enjoyable. The drinks too. The whole resort was clean and a really nice vibe. We went for a walk after lunch and again, just a lovely space. We will definitely will be back.

Had a great week at The Crane Resort. We had a lovely 2 bedroom suite with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The resort was nice...we enjoyed time at the pool and at the beach. We also worked with the concierge to book some off resort activities.

We had such an awesome time lodged at the crane, we were welcomed with a cold glass of punch. Very comfortable room with great view, our room was cleaned everyday. Staff: very friendly and always had a great smile Restaurant: we only ate once at this hotel in our 7 day stay as we wanted to explore other options on the island. We had our anniversary dinner at Zen in one of the Thai boots. Zen had a great view of the ocean. The only downside to this resort is that it’s atleast 20 minutes from where most of the action happens in Barbados. I would recommend getting a car if you plan to stay at this resort and explore the country. Beach: lovely beach view, my wife would go watch the sunrise most mornings and she loved it. The only issue is with the seaweeds. They were always there. The crane management could benefit from netting out the seaweed before it gets to the shore. Overall it was a great experience staying here

The beach is beautiful to look at. Swimming is rough, waves and undertow make it difficult to enjoy. Seaweed everywhere in the water. The west side of the island has calm waters. The food at the hotel was not good. Overpriced restaurants for mediocre food. Lots of pools but zero hot tubs for some strange reason. The room had a private pool which was great.

Sugar Bay exceeded my expectations by far!! It was our honeymoon and the best trip of our lives. I'd recommend ground floor for best beach access. The room was stunning, bright and super clean! I've never met a more kind, helpful, polite and courteous team of staff in my life. The food, THE FOOD was incredible!! Lots of options, we don't eat red meat and we're able to fill up with healthy and filling options every meal. We don't drink alcohol, and we were very surprised and happy with the mocktail lists at every bar. We stayed on the resort a lot and made time for sun and swimming (the water is stunning and the sand is like powdered sugar), but we also walked every day at least once off resort and the area was safe, with friendly people everywhere and lots to see around. Only regret is not staying longer, but I know we will be back. I'll be recommending Sugar Bay forever. Can't wait to go again.

If you’re looking for a resort with a cool Caribbean vibe, with the warmest and most attentive staff, with the most delicious all-inclusive food you will find, set on a world class beach (with shaded chaises readily available), then Sugar Bay is for you. Sugar Bay exceeded any reasonable expectation we had. We have been to a few dozen all-inclusive resorts - nice ones - and the food here rivals the best. Not a bad meal. The folks who work here genuinely want to make sure every need and want is met. Five stars well earned, Sugar Bay. We shall return.

The standard room is pretty small. The furniture could use an upgrade. The beach, food, and cocktails are great. Definitely one of the better all inclusive meals I’ve had. They advertise 4 restaurants but only two are truly all inclusive. The sushi restaurant and steakhouse you have to pay for if you go more than once or if you order multiple appetizers or main dishes.

Resort has a great layout and the rooms can accommodate families that want a little space. We had 2 bedroom 2 bath suite, King in 1 and 2 twins in the other. Easy and quick access from the airport. Staff was great and service was as expected from an All-inclusive. Only downside is the exact location on the coast is still on the Atlantic so a bit more windy and water was a bit more rough than other locations just around the island on the Caribbean waters side. Otherwise, great relaxing resort with both adult and kid friendly areas.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our trip to barbados but there is room for improvement at this property. When we first arrived it took us up to an hour and a half to be checked in even though we arrived after the 3PM check in time. Guests who came after us were checked in before us which was distasteful while we were left standing looking around. The property and beach were beautiful but the food quality was not my taste and options were repetitive each day. Breakfast finished quite quickly and took some time to replenish since it was quite a small area for breakfast. Overall okay experience but can be improved.

Amazing hotel, great location with amazing staff. Bedrooms were great, plenty of room. Couple of issues with shower and toilet but these were fixed immediately. Breakfast and lunch were both exceptional. Dinner was more limited but also of a very high standard. Drinks, cocktails etc again excellent and service great especially around the pool areas. Went out on the small sailing boat for about 40 mins which was free. Big shout out to Jimal who took us. Really great added bonus. Would definitely return and recommend.

I was very impressed with this resort. During our Barbados vacation we stayed at Sea Breeze’s sister resort, O2 Beach Club and Spa (see separate review), and were extended day privileges at Sea Breeze. We visited twice in late January. Therefore, I must emphasize that my review is limited to daytime activities as we did not have room or stay overnight. The resort grounds, pools, restaurants and beach are beautiful. It’s exactly what you would expect from a high end tropical resort. Very picturesque and comfortable. The restaurants are excellent and service is great. The beach is perfect and the staff are very attentive providing lounge chair set-up, towels and drinks. Many activities are available including wind surfers, games and sand castle building toys for the kid. The general mood of the resort is happy and friendly. Staff make the difference and are happy to help you with anything you need.

If you want to make a little criticism, maybe the shower towels are a little small and would have been liked by the bathrobes. Good cleanliness, both of the room and of the common parts. Timely and efficient staff assistance. Good choice of drinks and spirits in the bars, varied and good quality food, very quick and efficient restaurant service always served with kindness. All the staff very friendly and smiling throughout the stay. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, we felt pampered and very comfortable. Awful hotel!! Due to stay here for 4 nights but checked out after 1. Would have checked out the same day if we hadn't been travelling 9 hours to get there. This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed at and believe me invested in a lot of hotels.it is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The rooms are outdated,verging on dirty. Our bathroom had mould and the toilet didn't flush. All the staff were avoid of smiling and some came across rude. Everything seemed an effort. The food was abysmal.A real lack of choice and quality. The evening buffet was horrific.got to the point I didn't bother eating and my wife left most of hers.breakfast was no better. Checking in was another disaster.no warm welcome and a real poor first impression.the whole experience was terrible. When checking out 3 dats early after explaining why I did not even receive any type of apology at all.Absolutely shocking! I strongly advise staying somewhere else and don't waste your hard earned money on this place

The resort is in a nice location. The views are beautiful. Our room was ok, and the bed wasn’t bad. The bathroom was also fine. The fridge was rarely stocked and it was a struggle to get water bottles. We had to repeatedly go to the nearby coffee shop to get small bottles are water and bring it back to our room. There are two restaurants. One is open for a breakfast buffet and also opened for a sit down dinner. The other restaurant is only open during lunch time and is a buffet. The food during breakfast and lunch was fine. However the food for dinner was not impressive. The portions were very small. I ordered a steak one night with shrimp and was extremely surprised about how small it was and how there was only four small shrimp with it. The beach is beautiful. There are two separate areas on a large beach where you can sit with some nice chairs that have shade. There is only a small area where you can swim without hitting the rocks. There are water sports that are also free. We went kayaking and had a blast and also went tubing which was very fun. The pools are nice and the cave bar was a cool spot. We had a great time, but there is room for improvement.

From the moment we arrived, the service was disappointing. No one greeted us, and although waiting for a room is understandable, we waited over an hour while others who arrived later were given their rooms. After demanding to speak with a manager, our room was suddenly ready. To make matters worse, the bell boy didn’t even carry our bags. The staff, from receptionists to bartenders, were consistently rude, unfriendly, and made us feel like an inconvenience. The beach is also disappointing, with so many rocks that enjoying the water is nearly impossible. This hotel does not deserve its four-star rating. Believe the negative reviews – they’re accurate. I regret not listening to them and will be disputing the charges for this stay.

We stayed at Crystal Cove for 7 nights during new year's. While the staff is very friendly and helpful, the resort is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED, dated, and needs a lot of TLC. It is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel, the rooms that arw not renovated are horrible (motel quality). I would not recommend going there, we were very disappointed of this place. Marriott brand suffered a big hit with is here. See full story at the bottom. What we loved: • Friendly staff, very helpful. • The beach and the ocean water are amazing • weather was great • The resort is small, so it never felt crowded What we didn't like: • The resort is very dated, everything is old and maitenance is not good. • Staff is understaffed and overworked • only 2 pools, both are small • Food is not good. Variety is slim and quality is low. My kids did not have a lot of options, but the staff was always happy to make something they liked (like spaghetti) • Everything feels like it is measured and many times stuff is out: sandwiches run out, towels in the pool, beads and strings in the kids club. Doesn't feel good, especially for the rate this hotel charges. • Kids club looks old and worn out. But my kids enjoyed going there and do crafts • Some rooms have been renovated at some point, so they are reasonable. The others are horrible, I wouldn't pay a dollar to stay in one of those. • Loud music almost every night. If your room is near the speakers (like ours was), you will have a hard time getting your kids to sleep until the music stops (10:30 and even 11pm sometimes). Our full story: We arrived on 12/30/2024. The resort is about 40 minutes drive from the airport. The front desk notified us that the room we booked (ocean view 1 bedroom suite) is not available (due to "maintenance issues") and we'll have to stay in connecting rooms (garden view) for the first night. The rooms were small, old, poorly maintained. The bathroom was dirty and disgusting, my daughter scolded her hand when she touched the hot water valve in the shower because the valve leaked. The second day the manager took me to see our ocean view suite. This one was in better condition, it was renovated at some point in the past. But it looked small, so I said that from what I remember, there are 2 rooms in the suite. The manager then said this is a "junior suite", and that they don't have the oceanview 1 bedroom suite available until 1/3. He said he has a garden view 1 bedroom suite, we went to see it, but it was basically the same connecting rooms we stayed in, old and disgusting. We decided to take the junior suite, although it was small and pretty crowded for us. We did not get the room we booked for the entire stay (the manager did refund our stay based on the smaller room rate, but there was no additional compensation for their mishandling). 12/31, new year's eve, loud music from the main plaza until 1am(!!!). Our room shook because of the bass. I called the feont desk several times during the night to turn the volume down, but nothing helped. It was horrible, kids couldn't go to sleep. Reminder: this place considers itself "kids friendly". Music continued almost every night, at least until 10:30pm, one time until 11pm. Food: there are 2 restaurants, most nights only one operates, and you have to book in the morning for the time you want. Food was ok, not great or something to look forward to, some dishes were fine, some were not. Not a lot of options, for the kids too. Overall I would not say the food was good, but it was not terrible neither. There is a coffee place that is opened all day until 11pm, coffee is pretty good and service is quick. They also have sandwiches there but only 4 options, and many times sandwiches ran out, so you have to come back later when they restock. Bar: one bar, variety is not great, and quality is low. Final thoughts: We came for the great weather and the beach, and it was meeting our expectations. The resort, however, did not. The lovely staff made the stay better, but could not remedy the poor quality of the facility, especially for what they charge for it

Had a wonderful time at this hotel. The location is fantastic. Service was brilliant. Clean . The staff were fantastic. My husband left his wallet in the safe . The hotel kindly email us to let us know And kept it safe for us till we were able to collect it . Excellent service thank you . We will definitely be back .

For the cost, Turtle Beach is really 3 stars, but i enjoyed my one week stay and will give it 4. Many people complain about the birds which will be after your food during alfresco dining, but I liked the wildlife being there. The hotel is old and dated but so what! My room was big and comfortable with a great view. However. it was quite a long walk to the main areas; the hotel is well spread out. The staff and meals were good. I particularly liked the ice cream parlour, the swimming pools and room service. The beach was hopeless; lots of seaweed on it, and all the beaches on the south and east coasts of the island. If you want a good, clean beach, you have to go to the west coast which is mainly taken up with rich folks' homes . There is only ONE hot, small lift (elevator) to cater for all the rooms - terrible! Do take a trip round the island - well worth it!

The price-performance ratio at Turtle Beach Hotel is disappointing. While you can enjoy a buffet three times a day and book a table for à la carte dining in the evening (which was usually good), the buffet food itself left much to be desired. The potatoes, for example, were dry and soggy rather than crispy. Most of the staff were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. Finding a sunbed was nearly impossible as all of them were reserved with towels by 8 AM. When we asked about activities or a hotel plan, the staff dismissed our questions, and after searching for a while, we gave up. Additionally, activities listed on the daily schedule came with extra charges, which is unacceptable given the high cost of staying here. Another strange aspect was the “dummy receipt” provided for meals, showing what they supposedly cost, which seemed unnecessary and odd. The laundry service was outrageously expensive as well. On the positive side, the rooms were clean, and the reception staff were kind and helpful. However, for those wanting to explore the island, this is definitely the wrong hotel. Even for all-inclusive visitors, there are likely better options offering more value for the price.

We stayed at Tuttle Bay for five nights, and while many reviews have pointed out that the hotel grounds need updating, I won’t dwell on that as I understand renovations are planned for this year. Instead, I’ll focus on our personal experience as a couple, though I recognize this is primarily a family-oriented hotel, so our perspective as couple , may be a bit biased. Positives The hotel’s biggest strength is its staff—the service is truly excellent. The beach is stunning, and the food is of a very high standard. A standout moment was the New Year’s Eve buffet dinner, which was beautifully organized, with fantastic decorations that added a festive touch. A special highlight for us was our last night when we requested lobster. The chef prepared it perfectly, and while it came with an additional charge, it was absolutely worth it. Negatives The primary issue for us was the noise level. This is a very loud property, and as a couple seeking relaxation, we struggled to find quiet spaces during the day. The entertainment is repetitive, with 80s hits, Michael Jackson, and Bob Marley played on a loop. Daytime activities like karaoke and drumming are also excessively loud. The sound system is of poor quality, and while there are live performances in the evening, they’re often singing the same songs, too loud and, unfortunately, not very enjoyable. We had to be wearing earplugs at times during dinner. During a New Year’s Day event, there was a DJ playing more up-to-date Caribbean music on the beach, which was a refreshing change and much more enjoyable. I hope the planned refurbishment includes better sound systems and an overhaul of the entertainment program. We booked an ocean-view room but were initially placed in a room overlooking the restaurant entertainment area. The loud music made it unbearable. After complaining, we were moved the next night to a much quieter room on the other side of the property, closer to the beach. Another issue is the lack of sun loungers and parasols. Around the pool, there are only around 20 shaded parasols for a resort with over 140 rooms, and no dedicated adult pool. Children are splashing water, running and screaming everywhere, leaving little space for adults to relax. We opted for the beach, but it also has no parasols—just lounges with a hood that provides minimal sun protection. Loungers are placed close together, offering little privacy, and there aren’t enough of them. Guests start reserving loungers before 6 a.m., which is frustrating, however the beach here is absolutely stunning.

We've just returned from 9 amazing days at The Turtle Beach Hotel & Spa. The location is just spectacular. Right on the beach, with amazing views, from all rooms, I understand. The 3 pools were very welcome in the heat. Very comfortable sun loungers all around the pools. There was never a problem getting a sunbed and fresh towels every day.

Elevators broken, bathroom leaks, even the door to the hotel room don’t work properly. This is a dated property that survives by very good staff (bar the front desk, they’re useless). There are SO many better all inclusive hotels on the island, and less money. Please avoid this property! We stayed in a suite and the smaller rooms in other properties were better. Don’t be fooled Elegance brand, there is nothing g elegant about this hotel

Our stay at O2 Beach Resort and Spa was nothing short of incredible. From the delicious food to the beautiful facilities, everything was absolutely top-tier—but what truly made our trip unforgettable were the amazing people. We met Thandeka on our second-last night, and even in that short time, her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression. Holando, our poolside bartender, was one of the highlights of our trip—friendly, genuine, and always ready for a great conversation. Chef Simone at Brisa is a true talent—her food was extraordinary, easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Shakera was always smiling and made us feel instantly at home, while Lael, our concierge, was incredibly helpful and attentive, handling every detail with care and professionalism. And Damisha…. simply an angel. We met her early in our stay and felt an instant connection. Every time we crossed paths, she greeted us with the warmest smile and kindest energy—it truly meant a lot. Everyone we encountered, even those we haven’t named, played a part in making this the best experience we’ve ever had. The team at O2 is something truly special. Thank you all for the incredible memories—we can’t wait to come back! 💜💜💜

My family had a wonderful time here. I was worried it wouldn’t be family friendly but it was absolutely perfect! (They have an adult only side and a kid friendly side) Loads of activities for families too! Food was great. Rooms are stellar. Views are amazing. Beach a bit rocky but still gorgeous.

Not the luxury resort we were expecting. From the onset the reception staff was not accommodating. They ranged from pleasant but not helpful to a bit surly. The service staff on the other hand was very pleasant. Two of the pools were attractive but because of their odd shapes were not meant for swimming, just dipping. The third was on a rooftop and small, but cozy. While the food was included, it was only available during certain hours. If you missed the breakfast or lunch hour the only option was a grab and go cellophane wrapped sandwich or granola. Rooms and internal hallways were stark and on the industrial side but the bed was comfortable and the shower large and accommodating. Apparently they have a shortage of towels and we could never get the additional wash cloths we requested. Because of its location the waters here are choppy, not the calm Caribbean Sea we looked forward to. Also, the resort is located in a very crowded somewhat run down part of Barbados. In the past we stayed in the area north of Bridgetown and that is where we would go in the future.

A small boutique hotel with a touch of luxury. We had a very relaxing time at the O2 and glad we chose this for our first time in Barbados. It’s a 15 mins taxi ride (53BBD on way to hotel, 80BBD on way back) from the airport. From the outside it does not look like a 5 star hotel and is on a road with lots of local restaurants and bars. Inside the experience is of beauty and luxury. It’s a small resort and had everything we needed. Very clean. Typical crowd: middle aged some with children (10 years +). Very few young children during our stay in the Easter school holidays. Not much to do for younger kids. Music in the evenings was mellow. Ended by 10pm. Few activities and some are not inclusive. Plenty of bars and restaurants for a small resort. No problem booking restaurants for dinner. 3 pools which are good to cool down in but not for serious swimmers. Great pool bars. Amazing cocktails. The ocean area is small so you can’t really have long beach walks and the sea is too rough to swim in. Great if you want to take in the sun, ocean sounds with a cocktail or two! Friendly bar staff and some pool/beach side service. The rooms are good sized with large bathrooms. We had a room in the adults only section overlooking the pool and ocean. Beds were great. Amenities not restocked which was a let down and housekeeping hit and miss. Soundproofing not great. AC worked well which was a nice relief from the humidity. The best thing about this resort is Oro restaurant. A truly luxurious experience. The other restaurants were fine and the food was generally good. They accommodated dietary requirements better in some restaurants such as blufin (thanks chef Paul) and Oro. You can pre-order food if you know what you want to eat. Being on holiday, I prefer a break from thinking about what to cook so personally would prefer some options I could choose from. Food in buffet did not show allergens which made it trickier to find safe food to eat without someone to guide us. Quite often the servers did not know the ingredients so they had to find a chef. Overall it was a great experience. For another trip to Barbados I’d definitely explore other parts of the island but no problem recommending O2 as a good hotel if you don’t want to be too far from the airport.
