We are still here on our honeymoon. It's absolutely amazing. We only arrived 3 days ago. It's stunning and even saw a monkey. The food is delicious even for vegetarians. The welcome rum was just what we needed after a 9 hour flight. Beautiful gardens and pool area. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. I'm definitely coming back at some point. A big thank you to Rowan, Gregory, Jocelyn, Deirdre, Abigail, Sharon, Noreen and the reception team. We will miss you. Plus many more lovely waiters and restaurant staff. ❤️

I was very disappointed with my stay at Sugar Cane Hotel in Barbados, despite the positive reviews online. The staff, especially at the front desk, were not friendly — they were cold, distant, and unapproachable. Not even a single smile throughout my stay. The hotel is far from the city, and outside of meal times, there was absolutely nothing available to eat or drink. I genuinely felt like I was starving most of the time. Afternoon tea was extremely limited — even the cookies were given out by number. I paid $40 for breakfast, which offered almost nothing. The room was full of insects, which made my stay quite uncomfortable. The only nice part was the view, which looked just like the photos. But unfortunately, a nice view can’t make up for poor service, isolation, and a lack of basic hospitality and food availability.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy Barbados. It's a bit out of the way. This makes it an ideal place if you are looking for somewhere quiet and away from kids. We spent a week there in March 2025 and had a great experience. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They always serve you with a smile. Shuttle service is a bonus if you don't have your own transport. We had a one bedroom suite and it was very comfortable and very spacious. Gym is well equipped. Food was great with a good amount of variety. They have live music on certain days. Overall, highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Cane Club! The food at both restaurants was delicious, and I especially looked forward to dessert daily (gaining 4 lbs, but totally worth it!). The lush, mature greenery made the grounds feel serene and well-maintained. A highlight was the hidden hike we found below the swings on the way to Chattel Restaurant—a great little adventure. We also enjoyed live music on BBQ night and the guitarist at lunch, which added charm since the hotel doesn’t offer much entertainment. That wasn’t an issue for us, as we had a car and simply enjoyed each other’s company. The resort attracts an older crowd, so if you’re looking for excitement, this may not be the place. However, if you love beautiful surroundings, spacious colonial-style rooms, friendly staff (big thanks to Juliette for going above and beyond!), delicious food, and a peaceful, romantic atmosphere, it’s perfect. Our only issue was paying extra for an ocean-view room but being placed near the kitchen, where the noise Everytime time a meal was being made and the trees blocking the view from the second floor made the first night disappointing. Luckily, we were moved to a higher-floor room on night two, which we absolutely loved. Overall, Sugar Cane Club is a fantastic choice for couples seeking a relaxing, intimate escape in a breathtaking setting!

First time to Barbados and couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere with great views of the lush surroundings. Great food and fantastic staff that go out of their way to help you. Complimentary shuttle bus service is great as hotel is a bit remote, complimentary glass bottom boat tour and gulley walk were also a surprise addition to our stay. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful hotel by the water with a pool on-site. Some rooms offer stunning ocean views. The rooms themselves are clean, spacious, and equipped with strong air conditioning. Blackout curtains are a great bonus for restful sleep. I especially enjoyed the private jacuzzi on the balcony. Dinner dishes were delicious, though I would suggest expanding the variety of food options throughout the day. I visited in early May 2025, and the hotel felt quiet with few other guests. The beach was clean, and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The island has plenty of activities to offer — from surfing and e-biking to exploring the local culture. The locals were warm and welcoming. Yes, I would definitely recommend this place.

My stay at The Abidah hotel was nothing short of awesome. From Nikki at check-in who made sure our welcome mat was placed to the bartenders Rico and Kyle who made our drinks with love and other staff. The room was beautiful, jacuzzi was relaxing and the food was awesome from breakfast to dinner. I will definitely recommend The Abidah Hotel!

I had many issues within the resort, the first major issue was the broken air conditioner I reported it many times as my mother has asthma and nothing was done until the last night of our trip. I was ensured a refund for this issue but every time I call the manager is "never there". Expedia reached out as well and the manager is not there. How can you manage a resort yet you're never there. Another issue is the lady at the front desk the elderly lightskin one. She was very rude and likes to do things intentionally. She tried to charge us extra for a taxi ride which was not the same price we paid and she tried to make a lame excuse to justify herself. We signed up for the complimentary dining experience at the sister location and nobody ever came to pick us up. I did like the bartender and everything else at the resort was fine.

Whilst the hotel is nice in a good location, I found the service pretty poor. First of all when I arrived I was told that the hotel does not have porters to assist with luggage. In addition there were no trolleys. I had to carry my two suitcases and hand luggage by myself to the 4th floor. The hotel has one elevator. So if there is any fault with the elevator one has to walk up the stairs. A hotel of that size must have at least two elevators. Indeed, the elevator did have a fault yesterday and I had to walk up the stairs to the 4th floor. Today, when the room was cleaned the cleaner took the used towels away but forgot to replace them with clean towels. I had to call three times before someone eventually brought a clean set of towels, half an hour later. Lastly, at dinner earlier today, I ask for butter and it never arrived. The ladies in the dining room kept telling me it was coming but it never came. After 20 minutes I gave up. I doubt if I will ever stay in this hotel again.

Recently stayed to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Did a two night staycation package which including a complimentary spa treatment for my wife and I. The only complaint I have is that I couldn't stay longer. It's not a 5 star elegant hotel but it is a great boutique hotel that allows you to enjoy being taken care of

Sharad from water sports is totally outstanding! He is fantastic at creating the perfect nautical adventure for guests. The entire staff is so friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The general manager is also very lovely. Be sure to book your stay. It’s a slice of paradise. The culinary team is world class. Barbados is a gem.

I planned an engagement here on our vacation and Sophia was so kind and accommodating. She was always very responsive and had some really great ideas. We loved the food at the Sunset Restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner. And Kareen at the pool bar was a delight. The room was my favorite part. We stayed in an ocean view loft and when I say it was ocean front, it was! Couldn’t have dreamt of a better view. Rooms were clean as well. The pool was nice, clean, and refreshing. The only parts that could use improvement was the friendliness of some staff, and some things starting on the times as advertised. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Loved our trip to Club Barbados. We had a large second floor room overlooking the gardens and pools. The only improvement we would like was to have more easily accessible plugs, they were all on the floor behind/under furniture. The service was great, really friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't like was the constant use of plastic straws. We found the food really nice, well cooked and presented, with plenty of variety. The drinks kept flowing. Location was near ideal, walking distance to Holetown, no direct access to a sandy beach, only if you are prepared to walk across a 10 meter stretch of rocks in anything upto waist high water, but do that and you gain access to a beautiful quiet sandy beach with clear blue water. The rocky section did provide access to a lovely clear snorkeling area with a wide variety of fish and even eels and octopus. Anyone with mobility concerns may want to stick to the nice pools. This is a lovely place to visit, I would recommend this to anybody.

We had the most amazing honeymoon in Barbados! Sandals made everything so easy and stress-free from the moment we arrived. Our butlers Shenice, Denise, and Nicola were incredible—so kind, attentive, and always checking in to see if we needed anything. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. The resort was also beautiful. We are so sad to leave. Our driver to the airport, Roger, was especially entertaining and made the ride so enjoyable. Overall, it was truly the best time, and we absolutely cannot wait to go back!

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Sandals Barbados. I booked the candle light dinner on the beach. The only negative part was my wife’s prime rib was not cooked to her satisfaction. The butler had 3 tables he had to take care of that night, so it wasn’t his fault. He did offer to send it back, but we had already waited a while and didn’t want to wait any longer. Overall, we had an amazing time and we enjoyed it immensely!

Sandals does it again—another relaxing vacation. This time we visited Sandals Barbados, and it did not disappoint. The airport is conveniently close to the resort, and the accommodations were luxurious as expected. We enjoyed a great mix of traditional Sandals restaurants like Butch’s and Soy, along with newer, healthier options like Heart and Sol and Greenhouse. One of the highlights of the trip was an excursion to snorkel above shipwrecks where we swam with sea turtles and stingrays—an unforgettable experience. The resort offers plenty of pool and bar options, from lively party pools and swim-up bars to a relaxing rooftop infinity pool with a great view of the resort. We celebrated our 19th anniversary here and left already thinking about our return in a few years.🌴🐢🐠🍹⛱️🏏🥂Thank you Sandals!!!

Fantastic experience, 2nd sandals I've been to but best yet. Staff here are all friendly, helpful, clean rooms, good events, great food, and great drinks. I couldn't say enough about this particular resort. Lots to eat as both resorts are side by side, I believe the only one like this in their whole system. I have dairy allergy, and they've been super accommodating. But really what makes this 5 star are the staff, literally every single human here working smiles, says hello, asks if you need anything, is willing to drop what they're doing to just simply direct you somewhere if needed.

We booked the butler room for our honeymoon, 7 nights in August 2025. The room was great, except one of the ACs stopped working. But the second one made up for the first one. We had a rotation of 3 butlers. One, Jeremy, was great: courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable. The other two we barely saw and had to remind them of our requests. One of them, who we saw the least, popped up on our last day in the butler lounge while we were waiting to leave and treated us to a lecture on how things are more expensive but you get less than you did before. Oh we know, bud, we know. Most of the host staff at the restaurants were rude and acted like we were a bother to be seated. We had one decent bartender that knew how to make a mojito that wasn't overly sweet. The beaches were covered in sea weed most of the week and we never saw anyone walking around with drinks. To top it off, when checking out, they mixed up one of our bags with another guests. We had to sort it out at the airport and almost missed our flight home!

Absolutely outstanding experience! From the moment I arrived, I was met by the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered—some even greeted me with a warm “hello” as they passed on their way to work. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing, which created a really positive and welcoming atmosphere. I visited for breakfast and was blown away. The food was immaculate, beautifully presented, and constantly refreshed as items were taken. Every request we had was handled quickly and with a smile, and when we asked for extras, they were provided without hesitation. The meal itself was superb, and the surroundings were equally lovely—calm, clean, and relaxing. This was one of the most enjoyable breakfast outings I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend it and definitely plan to visit again!

Excellent hotel. Staff are so friendly and genuine always accommodating and kind. Food is very taste and well presented many choices from a la carte menu freshly prepared. Room was cleaned every day and always brought up whatever extra we asked( coffee, water etc) they do activities and water sports. The beach is beautiful and the water so clear that you can see the fish even without the mask . They always bring cold towels and cold snack while people sunbathe. Excellent in every way. Brilliant staff, barman, waitresses, chef, cleaners... all of them but Chantel really makes the difference🙂

Lovely boutique hotel. First the downside No beach Current arrangements for boarding the water taxi are dangerous. Dine around includes lunch only at waves. Unless you pay for your own transport of an evening. Room included a small lounge, bedroom with ensuite. All good but a shortage of plug sockets. We were in a ground floor, just a hop, skip and a jump to the pool, bar and restaurant. Perfect location. Pool - very nice, plenty of sunbeds and bar and restaurant service from your lounger. Bar - great service with all your usual favourites. Restaurant - at the start of our trip all meals were cooked to order. As the week progressed buffet meals were introduced for all three sittings. Personal preference is cooked to order. Water activities - snorkeling, paddle boards, hobby cat, and water taxi to waves included. Staff are very attentive and soon get to know you. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Must do - wreck and turtle snorkeling

Absolutely the most amazing accommodations! We were greeted with Rum Punch and led to the most memorable room ever. A chilled bottle of celebratory champagne waited for us in our rooftop oasis. We never imagined having not 1 but 2 ocean view balconies. One balcony was complete with our own private plunge pool overlooking the breathtaking views of the west coast; it’s where I started my day with coffee every morning. And forget anything you’ve ever heard about food at an all inclusive resort because this food was 5 stars at every meal. Everything was made to order, and dinner was culinary fine dining experiencewithout the stuffy wardrobe requirement. Additionally there wasn’t a drink that bartenders couldn’t make. We even had partnerships to go to a couple of other nearby Marriott properties for meals, but we never felt the need to. If you are going out for an excursion or your, they’ll even prepare you a togo bag for lunch or breakfast. If you wanted a snack, just go in the coffee room and grab something - all fresh and delicious. Christiana, Chris, Kaheem, Chawntel and so many other staff members are just genuinely hospitable. They called us by name and went out of their to make sure all guests are happy. We recommend 100% and can’t say enough good things about our experience.

I had a wonderful experience at The Waves Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly personable and welcoming, offering top-notch hospitality throughout my stay. Girls trip! I had the best time at Waves Hotel & Spa! The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and just what I needed for a relaxing getaway. What really made the trip special was the incredible staff — especially Daron and Keveim. They were so friendly and helpful, and always made sure we were taken care of. Their energy was everything! The food was great, the drinks were flowing, and the beach views were unreal. Everything felt easy and comfortable the whole time I was there. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave! Definitely planning to come back. Highly recommend Waves if you’re looking for a chill, stress-free spot in Barbados with amazing vibes and even better people.

Went here as a couple for a getaway first time to the island honestly speaking I chose this resort based on availability for me to use my Marriott points. I was a bit hesitant in booking because there were so many reviews that were polar opposite of each other from people staying at the exact same timeframe and just literally opposite reviews, but I was able to book an oceanfront room, which I always like to do and so I decided to go for it and I can tell you I would love to give this place a five star but honestly, it’s not a five star resort it does however, have five star potential I would say a lot of the five star has to come with updating the resort. It definitely is a good shape order resort, great location. The beach is rather small, but that’s not the resort‘s fault and I would never be negative toward the resort and the staff on something south of control I know in speaking with some of the locals, they said the island with hotels on that particular side have been dealing with the erosion of the beach, but the beach that is there is nice. It does sometimes feel a little crowded because the chairs and tables are a little close. The other side of things with the four star versus five star is the beach service is a hit or miss some days it was great some days you literally had to look around to see if there was even anybody still there ever a few times I literally walked up to the hotel bar inside to get drinks and take back down so they need a little work there But the majority of the staff there and I think this is the key for me while I was there one of the sister properties, if I recall correctly, the name was the colony house, which was come to find out a non-all inclusive. They had their people there working along side of the staff employees for waves, and I can tell you with great certainty the employees that work for waves 10 out of 10 I’ve been to a lot of resorts. I’ve been to some that are way more expensive than this and those employees Literally will do whatever you ask as long as it’s in their ability the colony house employees on the other hand, sometimes acted like they could care less, whether they even acknowledged you whether it be out on the beach in hotel bar in the restaurant so a lot of the negative feedback that I would have toward the staff would only be pertaining to the staff that was there during my stay From the colony house staff members, and you can clearly see who they are because they have Colony House on their shirts, which is different from the staff employees for the waves. The resort is uniquely laid out it’s split so all of your ocean front rooms are gonna be on the waterside and then there’s a road that basically goes around the island you gotta cross over that road to go to the other side of the resort the pool over there is definitely nicer more of a resort style pool. There’s a small pool on the Beachfront side, but it’s the family pool, which was never had one person in there a few times that we went in there just to cool off on the beach a slight negative they only have two restaurants there the one that is on the beach side was really good. We ate there Seven out of eight nights that we were there and I have to tell you the food that we had was amazing that menu literally changes on the daily. They do have their normal dishes, but then they have a regular change up daily of I would say most of the entrées and I read reviews that the food was horrible and this and that I consider myself a foodie and I enjoyed everything that I had. I’m not gonna say that everything Was 10 out of 10 but presentation and overall quality and taste of the food I thought was great and as I said, I would consider myself a foodie so take that for what it is the Indian restaurant across the road we went there the one night it was really good, but that menu does not change so we did go there the one night, but we never went back because we felt like we had what we wanted to try the first time we went and there was no need to go back The spa I thought was really good as well! Go check it out!

Jamar and Akeil took great care of us with the drinks. Daron and Kevin took great care of us at the desk with daily needs and planning excursions. We cannot wait to return to this resort. We had an amazing stay at Sandals Royal Barbados! The room was clean and spacious, housekeeping was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly everywhere we went. We loved the variety of bars and cocktails, and the entertainment in the evenings was a fun way to wind down. The spa was top-notch, the restaurants were fantastic, and the gift shops had great selections. Booking a tour through the resort was easy and seamless. Every part of our experience was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at Sandals Royal Barbados in the South Seas Club Level Crystal Lagoon Double Suite with balcony to celebrate a birthday and had a truly wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional—especially Samara at Spices, who was incredibly friendly and always ready to help. At the bars, Dale, Larkan, and George stood out with their amazing drinks and fun banter; they really went out of their way to make us feel at home. Every team member we encountered was warm and welcoming. The dining options were excellent, with a great variety of delicious vegetarian dishes. With the vast number of restaurants on-site at both Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados, we could enjoy a different cuisine every day, which made each meal feel like a new experience. The spa services were outstanding as well—Lean gave an incredible massage, being both attentive and professional. The rooms were spacious and modern, featuring a large balcony complete with a tub, sunbeds, and a charming seating area. Housekeeping did an excellent job, taking care of all our needs throughout the stay. Both the daytime and evening entertainment were fantastic and added so much to our stay. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing getaway.

We found the resort to be very gay-friendly, so would encourage any members of the LGBTQ+ community to visit. We had such a wonderful stay and have to give a huge thank you to our Butlers - Latoya, Nadia and Shameka - for making our stay extra special. They sorted all our dinner reservations for us, walked us to the restaurants at night, reserved our favourite spot by the pool, brought us over surprise drinks throughout the day and delivered lunch to our sun loungers. They would often leave little surprises for us to go back to the room to - such as a cheese plate and a drawn bath with champagne on ice. The resort is huge and the number of food options is incredible - every meal we had was delicious, but I would particular shout out to Bombay (the Indian restaurant) and Chi (the pan-Asian restaurant). The spa was lovely too and we had very relaxing massages and facials. The rooms were spotless and the layout was great because the bathroom felt private (unlike other hotels we’ve stayed at that can feel too exposed). Our room had a tranquility soak tub on the balcony too, which was the epitome of luxury! Next time we will pay extra for private transfers because we didn’t like the mini-buses that shuttled people to and from the airport. The only part I wouldn’t recommend is doing the Rum Historical Tour through “Island Routes” - it was boring and far too much time was spent in the car. We felt like it was a waste of money. We have already booked to come again next year at their on-site Travel and Loyalty section where you can bag yourself a really good deal!

Sandals Royal Barbados, June 2025 visit: What makes this hotel special is the staff — they truly make this place what it is. You simply won’t find better anywhere. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was polite, smiling, and couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. Their warmth and professionalism elevate this resort well beyond expectations. The hotel facilities are excellent and the rooms are absolutely amazing. We stayed in the Club Level rooms so I can’t comment on all room categories, but ours was immaculate. Champagne, water, beers, soft drinks, and a great selection of spirits were all stocked and topped up daily. The room itself was modern, luxurious, and spotless. Now to the restaurants — we dined in most of them and were consistently impressed. My personal favourite was the Indian restaurant, which is easily the best I’ve had outside of a two-star Michelin Indian, and trust me, as someone from Birmingham, England, I know a good Indian meal when I taste one! The overall food quality across the resort was exceptional, and the drinks offering was superb: branded labels and an excellent range to choose from. This is honestly the best place I’ve visited. Special mentions: ⭐ Food: Indian restaurant is outstanding ⭐ Service: British pub — great quality tap drinks ⭐ Salty Donuts & French café: both amazing spots ⭐ Housekeeping: rooms kept immaculate ⭐ Staff: always polite, smiling, and happy to help — nothing was too much trouble Going out: Everywhere we went outside the hotel was just as friendly and welcoming — from Oistins Fish Friday to Bridgetown, to visits to local beaches and dining downtown. The people of Barbados are truly friendly and helpful, and made exploring the island a pleasure. Would I go again? Absolutely — Sandals ticks all the boxes

This was our second visit to Coral Reef Club and it didn’t disappoint. The room was a beautiful sea view / garden room and was immaculately clean with fresh towels and iced water daily. The food is outstanding, from breakfast to lunch, late morning sorbet and beach drinks to evening dinner and cocktails. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the beach waiters are super hardworking and friendly. There is a well equipped gym and tennis coaching which we enjoyed, together with evening musicians/singers which were lovely on the evenings we dined in the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and every member of staff had a smile and hello for you throughout our stay. We cannot wait to return to one of favourite places to visit. Thank you everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special.

A client had contacted me for a hair braiding service from Coral Reef Club. I had met 2 young ladies who were so helpful. The atmosphere was cool and nice. The room I did my service in was a decent size with air condition. I loved it.

Beyond Grape

The Coral Reef Club is a small slice of paradise along the stunning west coast of Barbados. You notice the extreme attention to detail and the rooms are uniquely placed throughout the lovely grounds. One particular delight is the bar and restaurant which is ideally located and provides top caliber food and service with languid sea breezes and a stunning view. The spa is another immaculate realm and has ample spaces to relax, a nice pool, and the treatments are in well-appointed rooms. The esthetician and masseurs take care to tailor the treatments. You always feel your best at this gracious property.

Resort is lovely overall. Most comfortable room with a quiet balcony albeit a bit dated. Nice quiet location but a bit of a walk to Holetown. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping service for my room was impeccable. Although at times at the bar it took awhile to get any attention and at one point even forgot my order. Both times happened around the 5pm hour so maybe it’s during staff turnover or prep for dinner service. Rules say you cannot reserve the beach chairs but people do it anyway. By 8am there are books on almost all the chairs. Rules also say items will be removed from chairs reserved but not occupied for 2 hours. Some beach butlers will do it but some won’t. I personally witnessed a pair of chairs unoccupied and not even used at all for most of the day until about 3pm. When the couple arrived, they were attended to a lot. At another day, a butler gave a pair of chairs to an elderly couple only for it to be taken away by a different butler telling them it was already reserved. Seems obvious the beach butlers play favourites. Clientele geared more towards the elderly so if you want a slightly less older scene with more establishments around the resort then suggest going elsewhere.

We had a great stay overall – the room was super comfortable, always spotless, and cleaned really well with fresh towels and water refilled twice a day, which we really appreciated. Food quality was excellent. However, the service around the bar area during the day - lunch time- left a bitter taste. My husband and I noticed we were often treated differently compared to other guests. We constantly had to flag down staff just to get a menu, and a few times the waitresses seemed to ignore us completely. On one occasion, I sat for 30 minutes without anyone coming over, while others who arrived later were attended to straight away. I ended up going to the bar myself just to place an order – not a big deal in itself, but it felt unfair given the clear difference in how others were treated. It’s a shame, because aside from that, the rest of the staff were kind and helpful.

Our trip was delightful. The service, restaurant staff & food was great! Beach is beautiful! Floor tile grout in room & bathroom was dirty. However management sent housekeeping to clean. Ocean view from room was amazing. Wish the resort had a prettier pool.

Hotel is located on the west side of the island which favors calm waters with the hotel having direct beach access which was really great. Rooms are very spacious but could use a little upgrading, except for the bed which was the best nights sleep I've had. The property could use some maintenance and upgrading as well. I was disappointed that one of the restaurants closed for dinner without prior notification to the guests which limited menu availability and one restaurant available to eat on property. Luckily there are several excellent restaurants within walking and driving distance. The pool is small but accommodates the hotel nicely. Security around the hotel is also noticeable which was nice to see. Taxis and drivers are available at the hotel whenever you need which is convenient. Staff is very pleasant and helpful with excursions and dinner reservations as needed.

We just got back from our stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion and let me just say we never wanted to leave!! The food, the beach, the atmosphere, everything was top notch. Ryan down at the beach club was phenomenal, we are going to miss his smiling face! And Tia went above and beyond for us, she was amazing! We are telling everyone they need to go, you will not be disappointed!!!

The Fairmont Barbados is on a beautiful beach and location is great for a tranquil vacation. The hotel is pretty with pink walls and pretty fountains and landscape. The landscaping needs cleaning and some plants were dry but overall it was nice. At night it’s pretty with all the lighting. The nightly sunset views from the bar restaurant are gorgeous and they have live music. The food at the hotel is not the best. It’s ok tasting. For the prices charged (specially the $175 lunch buffet) the food is not that good. The service is also OK. Some staff are great and we looked around for the special staff that we knew would assist best. The rest of the staff definitely need some “Fairmont corporate training”. Overall the rooms were very pretty. We had the bottom floor upgrade room with a little balcony. I am not sure how the upstairs rooms look. Our balcony bottom floor was nice and very clean and nicely decorated and updated bathroom. The fridge did not work. They gave us free waters all the time and I really appreciated that. The balcony does not open to the beach. Would be great if you could just walk out your balcony to the beach. You have to go around the resort to the back in order to access the beach. The breakfast food was pretty good. A lot of fruits and hot plates. The drinks were pretty good overall. Some staff bring them out to the beach but you have to hunt them down for that to happen. Overall, if I came back to Barbados, I would stay at the Fairmont again but with adjusted expectations.

What an amazing time we had staying at "The House" in Barbados. The hotel was always so clean... and gorgeous The food was superb and I do mean superb.. there's nothing they wouldn't do for you, even if you are a picky eater... The rooms were always spotless and up dated The staff we're absolutely awesome, great fun and they did everything for us and more.... Wade, Sheena, Andrew, Kwasi, Shane, Dennis, Terry, Agnes to name a few and a special thanks to Jason, the manager... Wade even took our son to play football with his local team, which was a highlight for my son, who really enjoyed it.. Our stay was truly magical and we're already looking to go back next year.. I would seriously recommend this hotel in a heart beat to anyone looking for a 5 star holiday on the West Coast of Barbados..

I can’t say enough great things about The House. It Our trip to Bardados would not be the same if we didn’t stay here. The staff was EXCELLENT! The rooms were gorgeous and the food was top notch. We were greeted immediately and made to feel so welcome. We were treated to a complimentary 30 minute massage which we scheduled for day 2. The hotel can arrange everything from jet skiis to transportation to the tourist sites on the island. They had complimentary snorkel gear, paddle boards and a small wind sail. It’s been only 2 days since our trip ended and we truly miss the staff, the meals we enjoyed on the patio, and the pure feeling of “vacation”. My family and I will be returning the The House soon!!

This is a special find if you are looking for luxury, amazing food, and the best staff I have every encountered. The entire island is filled with caring kind people, but the staff here goes above and beyond. We were here for 5 days, and every meal, drink, question, or encounter was positive. Andrew is the funny and keeps you smiling! Wade and Devere are amazing bartenders and will make you the best drinks in the world. They are serious about their drinks and I promise they can make a drink for any occasion. Nice job gentlemen. Pat can make you the most amazing omelet and they are even better when she is singing (she has a beautiful voice). Kwise is has mastered the art of taking care of people! Sophia, Mark, Rico and Anthony were amazing servers (there were plenty of servers, but we were served by these amazing people). We broke a glass one night and Antwan was like a ninja cleaning up quickly with a smile on his face!

Beautiful, small resort. Great for people who don't like crowds (like me). It's on the beach, has a pool right there as well, a pool bar, several dining choices, and a very attentive staff who clearly want you to enjoy your stay! Lovely room (I heard they're going to remodel or update in a couple months)... and it's in Barbados! What more could you want??😊😊
