I can’t say enough about this hidden gem in Barbados. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out ten days later, everything was perfect. The common areas and rooms are immaculate, the staff friendly and attentive, and the property beautiful. We did not do the all inclusive option as we wanted to venture off the property, however, we found ourselves there more than away. The Sugar Cane Club is just up the hill from Speightstown and is close to beautiful beaches and great restaurants, should you want to get out. The on site dining is excellent and not like a typical all inclusive. The breakfast buffet changed daily and lunch could be served poolside or in the restaurant. But dinner…..dinner was spectacular. The Chatel Bar was away from the rest of the resort and the ambiance and sounds of the animals was peaceful. The pool buffet was also fantastic. Several employees swooped in and transformed the pool from a place to lounge into fine dining complete with candlelight and live music. I shed a tear leaving this little Caribbean oasis and I can’t wait to get back.

What can I say about this hotel but that it is a well hidden gem here in barbados👌🏽....the management and staff made both me and my husband's stay there very special and for that I say thank you from the bottom and top of my heart for the excellent service given and shown to us, especially during the passage of hurricane beryl for that I will give you 5💫💫💫💫💫 .....we can't wait to return next year❤️❤️❤️

My first time in Barbados (airport was amazingly easy and friendly compared to alot of others I've been to), airport shuttle called me out by name, Julie drove me to my hotel, super friendly, we chatted the whole way. Sugar Cane is amazing if you want peace n quiet and that's what i love (i went in June so rainy season but it was still super hot and the vegetation lush n beautiful). The staff are extremely professional and the food service is like fine dining! Food -amazing!!! The grounds are very well kept and the pool sufficient for cooling off and small swim. The spa is also extremely professional and has a multitude of services, loved going in there. Due to when I arrived, I didn't get all the excursions in that I wanted but I did do the mount gay rum tour (highly suggest) and the wildlife reserve (i just took a taxi over cause its close). I cannot say enough about this lil resort, I miss it already and will definitely be back! Oh ya, daily visits by the green monkeys around 5ish as they'll bombard the huge mango tree. You'll need to shuttle to the ocean but I believe you're better off doing an excursion or two that'll get you to some different beaches. Absolutely a 10/10.🍹✈️🩵🇧🇧😎 one more thing, English everywhere, felt so comfortable.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens. The gardeners are always busy and very friendly. The staff are very friendly, some more than others. Breakfast could be better, we had fruit every morning but there wasn't much choice to say we were in the Caribbean. There was two types of melon and fresh pineapple for the first few days then pineapple wasn't on again. I would have expected grapes, mango, banana but there wasn't. Service is very slow for breakfast, we had to wait every morning but one morning there was 10 couples waiting to be seated. There is plenty of staff to clear the tables and make them back up but they were really slow. The food on the lunch menu and evening menu was really nice and well presented. We enjoyed every a la carte meal we ordered . Presentation was very good. The buffet nights which were at the poolside and one night at chatel restaurant weren't very good. The food wasn't very hot on the buffet. You need to use the courtesy bus to get into town or to the beach as it's not a great walk on the road down. The bus was a great asset to get you into town and then from there you could catch the reggae reggae bus or the larger bus in the station to Holetown or to Bridgetown. The hotel is really nice, the rooms are spacious and maid service is very good. In my opinion the hotel suits the older generation from 65 upwards. There was a lot of older people there. We are 56 and 58, not very young but not retirement age. We would probably go back when we are retired. A few young couples came as we were ready to go home. All in all we enjoyed our holiday, barbados is a lovely place and the people are lovely. Met some really friendly people in a bar on the main road in Speightstown . Caught a taxi back up to the hotel with two of the maids, both really nice ladies.

I return here time and time again because of the wonderful staff and service in all areas. Always greeted with a smile. Top marks for the food ,both sunset and Enid’s are well run and clean. Comfortable clean rooms and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

I spent my 50th birthday over the Memorial day weekend with my twin, daughter, cousin, and some friends. We enjoyed the Club. It is an older crowd, so, if you are looking for a younger type vibe, you may want to choose another resort or find the younger night life by the resort. The food and scenery at the fish fry on Friday at Oistins was great. We booked our excursions at the front desk of the resort. You can also book on your own. The rooms have dated furniture, but, it is no big deal. They are spacious , have air, and the bathroom has a great shower. The food was delicious. The resort only has two restaurants, but, they have so many options of food to choose from. We enjoyed ordering from the fixed lunch menu every day. The burgers, nachos, and pasta are a must try. The drinks were phenomenal. We ordered mimosas and iced coffee in the morning, and continued with frozen and mixed drinks the rest of the day. The majority of the staff are very nice and do everything to make sure that you are well taken care of. I would recommend and would stay at this property again!

We stayed at The Club Barbados for 2 weeks in May 2024. We found the hotel & its grounds to be lovely & clean & in the perfect location to wander into Holetown ( about a 10 minute stroll ). The staff were really helpful & polite at all times. I spoke to the manager ( Caroline ) in passing on a few & found her to be very approachable & helpful. The grounds are well kept with beautiful gardens. Although there is no beach as such there is an area where you can lie on lounger overlooking the sea & it’s only a short stroll to the nearby Sandy lane beach. I can highly recommend The Club Barbados for anyone travelling without children. When you stay here a visit to Enid’s & the piano bar are an absolute must.

We just got back from a 5 night stay and I would probably rate this hotel at 3 1/2 stars rather than a 4 if the option were available. I believe in trying to be as honest as possible when writing these so that it is fair to the business and those looking to possibly stay. We have traveled around to many of the islands and have always stayed at all inclusive resorts, so we are experienced travelers. The Club was not what we were expecting but it met some of our expectations. I will start with the negatives first: The most disappointing feature was the beach...or rather lack there of. It is more of a man made sand wall that overlooks the ocean and the water below is quite rocky and hard to swim in. Our room upon arrival was a bit disappointing as they are "well worn", the mini fridges are not stocked with anything unless you want to pay extra because it is considered part of room service (strange for an all inclusive) and the floor was so dirty that the bottoms of our feet were black within a few hours of walking around on them. There never really seemed to be any entertainment (despite posted planned activity signs) not even music playing at the pool and the place is a snooze fest most of the day except until late evenings when live music is there for a few hours before everything shuts down at 11pm. I guess if you are an older couple who appreciates the quiet and you just want to sit around soaking up the sun, this is the resort for you. Positives are that the hotel is in a quiet & safe location, it is adults only so there are no kids running around, there is plenty of parking if you have a rental car, the drinks & food are top notch for a resort of its kind and most of the staff work very hard & provide great service. Holetown, which is within a short walking distance has some lovely shops and places to eat. Location wise it is about a 30 min drive from airport and seemed to be 15-20 minutes from most of the major tourist attractions/activities.

This place is frequented by a much older crowd, retirement vibes for sure. Not for the below 40 age ranges if you're looking for fun parties or a lively atmosphere. Quiet and peaceful, though, the ocean rooms have a phenomenal view, and the ocean sounds were loud and soothing for relaxing. The staff is amazing, which I would say might be true to most of the people in the country, very friendly.

I recently made reservations at The Abida in celebration of 2 special birthdays and was left unsatisfied due to the manner in which my reservation was handled. I cancelled the reservation approximately 30 mins after I checked in. WhenI I booked I was told that I can use the amenities at Accra Hotel as well. When enquiring about a massage appt I was told that I was not allowed to ride the shuttle with the visitors because I checked in as a local with a staycation and that was not the policy. The room I was assigned to was also downgraded as well! I felt discriminated against and when I enquired about canceling the reservation I was not asked what my queries were and neither was I offered a supervisor or manager to speak to. Upon further speaking to reservations I was told that the information I was given was false. I was promised a call a few days ago and never received a call. I've sent 2 emails with no response. This hotel came highly recommended but my experience there was not what I expected.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! SCAM! My friend and I booked our (separate) two-week stays at Abidah directly through the hotel's website during an "early bird special" deal they were offering months in advance of our stay. We each received a confirmation email with a confirmation number after we booked, so assumed we were all set. We arrived at Abidah after a long day of traveling and were excited to check-in and get our vacation started. We waited around for a bit before someone came out of the back room to greet us and get us checked-in. The lady at the front desk was taking a looong time to check us in and asked that we showed her our confirmation emails/numbers as proof of the bookings (NEVER a good sign!!). We each pulled up the confirmation emails and she continued to type away on the computer. We were asked to take a seat while she looked into this further with the manager (Gregory). After what seemed like forever, Gregory comes over to us to inform us that the hotel had no record of either mine of my friend's reservations and that the hotel was completely booked for the entirety of our stay. How do they not have record of EITHER reservation?! He told us he'd put us up for the night while they looked into their sister resort/seeing if they can accommodate us, and a regional manager would be coming by to speak with us first thing in the morning. "Enjoy the night and relax" is what we were told to do (not sure how anyone would relax in this situation, but sure). We woke up the next morning and immediately headed to the front desk. "I haven't heard from the manager yet, go enjoy some breakfast" is what we were told. We quickly ate breakfast and headed back to the front desk. Still no word from the manager and no ETA on when he would be arriving. We waited around in the lobby for HOURS, while Gregory did his best to avoid us at all costs. Still no word from the manager, no timetable for when he'd be coming and no guarantee that a resolution would be available or that they'd be able to put us up for another night. That's when we took matters into our owns hands. We hopped on google and started researching other options. Of course, options were slim since it was so last minute- but we did find something on another island with a flight leaving that afternoon. We booked the room and the flight and left Abidah. Once we got back from our vacation, we sent an email to Abidah expressing our disappointment and frustration with the whole situation and requested to be reimbursed for the flight we took to Barbados, the flight we took to the other island and the difference in room price. Abidah declined to do the right thing and reimburse us for the added expenses we had to incur due to their negligence. What we think happened- we booked these rooms during an early bird deal they were running, so they were pretty discounted. Abidah then went ahead and "sold" the rooms we booked for a much higher price and claimed they had no record of our reservations... probably because they deleted them out of their system to make more $$$$ The hotel is TINY, the food was mediocre and the hotel isn't on the beach. You have to cross a road and walk down a hill (no clear pathway) to get to the beach. Not worth the $$

I am presently on a Staycation at the said Abidah Hotel in Enterprise Ch.Ch with my wife for our wedding anniversary. On arrival we parked in the basement which is safe with cameras around, we proceeded to the lobby and was met with welcoming reception, escorted to our room which was clean, and attended by Nicole, the Barman was very good at his job and made sure you lacked for nothing. Our Attendant was Sharon Adams who seated us each occasion we visited the dining room, with the raising of a finger she attended to us. The Chef visited us on the dining floor and discussed our preference and made sure we enjoyed our meals. The Receptionist were reachable around the clock just by dialing a single number. The Pool, the beach and jacuzzi were welcomed add-ons. I am a local, and on my stay I felt safe, welcomed and fully rejuvenated, I will be back again in the future and have started recommending this hotel to others.

I am here now, I really don’t know where to start, on day one we had a mobile air conditioning unit in the room witch meant you had to have the door open for the extraction pipe, not ideal when the mosquitoes are out and about, we paid for a sea view, it was a view of somebody’s backyard. We complained about the air conditioning and view. The staff didn’t seem interested, but after a meeting with the manager on the second night we were moved, thank you. The food in the restaurant is good. The bar menu advertised a vodka/ gin martini. I have been here 10 days. No vermouth. The toilets in the restaurant area, men’s have been closed since we arrived and there is 1 disabled toilet to use , but no hand dryer. Some of the staff are great, others don’t seem to want to be there, it’s a shame as it could be so good. Plus it’s the only place I have been to in the Caribbean where you eat inside, but like a travel lodge. I do blame blue bay travel, who we have used many times, for misleading people. The beach is lovely and the views from the Sea View rooms is lovely. Sorry for the negative feedback but it won’t get better until it’s fixed. Apparently it’s H. R at Accra main hotel. So come you lot sort it out.

This resort is so spectacular, and I’ve been here less than 24 hours and already feel compelled to leave a review. From the MOMENT we stepped into the hotel we were blown away with the hospitality. We showed up with a flat tire and the staff immediately helped us call someone to come fix it for us. I’ve never been to a resort where everyone is just SO KIND and wants to help. Special shout out to Hakeem, the Food and Bev manager of the restaurant, Glain from the front desk, and Micheal, the director of the rooms, for helping us coordinate activities throughout the week!! Aside from the 10/10 hospitality, the resort itself is stunning. We are on our honeymoon and as soon as we walked into our ocean front room, we were greeted to a bottle of champagne and rose pedals on the bed. The beach is also spectacular with crystal clear blue water and white powder sand beaches. I could not be more thrilled we chose to stay here for our honeymoon. I read a review that someone said the resort felt a little run down so I was a little nervous, but I don’t agree with that at all, and I’ve been to some pretty nice places!! You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

One of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. It was the epitome of luxury & high class service. As soon as we came off the plane, we were greeted by a representative from Fairmont. Who fast tracked us through customs & to collect our luggage. We had organised with them before our holiday for their transfer service. This was a smooth & efficient service. As we travelled with our baby, they provided a suitable car seat for him too. Upon arrival at the resort we were greeted by their friendly reception staff and a choice of refreshing drinks. The great service carried on upon check in as they had accommodated us by ensuring our room was right next to an elevator for our pram. The service throughout our stay was five star standard and beyond. They were very friendly, accommodating & always went out of their way for us. It was nice to also see the staff friendly with our baby, giving him lots of attention & keeping him entertained. The beach space is plentiful & stretches quite a long way across the resort. There was always a sunbed available both at the beach and pool area. They have a beach bar to quench your thirst during the long walks along the beach in the heat. The rooms themselves were comfortable, spacious & had all the usual touches of luxury you would expect from a five star resort. The view from our room (and all the rooms), facing out to the beach & sea, was incredible. We were able to watch the sunset every evening. The food at the resort was of a high standard too. The buffet breakfast was both delicious and varied. The Palm Terrace dinner we had was lovely & Taboras restaurant, by the pool & beach, also served up good food. A great perk of the resort was that a child under the age of 5 ate for free. Even room service! We felt this was a very nice touch as our baby felt more comfortable in the room during the evenings. The hotel offered free Yoga and Pilate sessions at the beach in the morning which my wife enjoyed. Overall I could not recommend Fairmont Royal Pavilon enough. The resort is fantastic, the service is impeccable & it really felt like a luxury 5 star stay. We will definitely be holidaying there again!

Awful experience. We are staying close by and the villa we have has beach club access cards for guests. We arrived and was rudely gestured to a sign that said beach club members access only, to which we showed them the “BEACH ACCESS” cards to which the manager said we are not welcome, his name was Ray Thompson, the bar staff laughed at us at an attempt to intimidate us. Very amateur and unprofessional. Not welcoming at all. We found a local beach where their was proper Barbadian atmosphere and spent our money there instead. Vile place and would not return.

My family and I will definitely go back because of the associates. From Ryan the Operations Manager who welcomed us on our arrival, to T’Keyah who checked us in and my 3 year old daughter called her my friend/nice lady, to Valerie who was the server at Seascape. 1 more associate at the cafe/seascape dinner apologies as I did not get her name. Kudos to the management team for creating a wonderful experience for my daughter. Very spacious and modern rooms. 2 pools available at property. Adults only and family pool. Family fool which we used and majority of the time we were the only one in the pool area. Beach. Although sister properties better beach front options like Crystal cove and Turtle beach, beach was still accessible and had complimentary water sports included in package. Dining options. Buffet breakfast at seascape. Buffet lunch buffet at seascape. Dinner Ala carte options available at seascape and depending on day Shisho Asian Fusion. And of course room service. Water taxi services. Only available through Marriott west side of the island properties definitely worth trying. I know it’s has been mixed review about this property but definitely on our list to come back.

I am incredibly disappointed with the management of the Elegant chain . We had a confirmed booking at Waves Barbados, but they changed our hotel last minute, offering us their sister property, The Coral then The House etc. This was extremely inconvenient and caused a lot of stress as we had planned everything around staying at Waves. To make matters worse, communication was dreadful. They took ages to reply to our emails, leaving us in the dark and anxious about our accommodation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially given the reputation and cost of staying at such an establishment. I sincerely hope our stay improves, but this has left a very bad taste in our mouths. Avoid if you want a hassle-free vacation.

This is a lovely relaxed small hotel , the rooms are large and have everything you need , lots of coat hangers and fluffy towels, a bit dated but clean and well serviced. The staff are amazing, I was unwell and they brough honey and ginger to the room without being asked . All the staff were excellent friendly and professional. The food was very good , I’m difficult to please as I don’t eat fish or most meats but the choice was good , well presented and not buffet service . The spa ladies were very good and fitted me in last minute. The beach though small is very pretty , good service of drinks, watermelon and ice coolers . I would recommend the hotel and hope to stay again soon,

Wonderful week long stay! First trip to Barbados in June of 2024. We stayed at Waves Hotel and Spa, an all inclusive Elegance resort by Marriott. Waves was fantastic! Staff were phenomenal. Lunch, breakfast, and dinner buffets had great selections of food. A la carte dinners were at Seascape and Shiso. We preferred Seascape to Shiso. Dinner service was a little slow for a la carte, but when you are on vacation, it doesn't matter so much. Drinks were fantastic with all fresh mint and fruit. Top shelf and the bartenders were great. Wines were of good quality as well. Each day they had self serve water stations with frits and herbs in the water. We stayed on the adults only side and the pool and rooms had just been renovated. The rooms smell wonderful with their signature spa scent in the rooms. The air conditioning was great and cool. The housekeeping service is great as well. When at the pools or beach, staff walks around taking drink orders, delivering iced lollies, frozen fruit, and cold washcloths to cool off your face and neck. At the beach, the walk around and spritz you with cold peppermint water. What service! For a week stay at the adults only side, you get two 30 min spa treatments. You get three treatments if you stay on the ocean side. Each night there is a singing duo, bingo, or trivia. It is not a resort for crazy partying, but is great for relaxation. We took the pontoon boat that takes you to Tamarind and Crystal Cove (Colony cove is closed now). Crystal Cove has salt water pools and a swim up bar. Tamarind has great snorkeling in front. We went twice just for the snorkeling. Snorkeling in front of Waves was decent. Go just South of Waves for an array of fish species. Watersports are great at Waves. Mariner took us out on a Hobie cat ride. The guys went water tubing. There are SUP and kayaks for use as well. Waves was fantastic overall. Our TV did not work, they came within ten minutes to fix it. The next day, they had a bottle of sparkling wine in our room with an apology note for the TV not working. Jackie, in management, asked daily how everything was going. The resort is very well run and they really cared to make your stay perfect. The employees were happy and there was not a need they would not attend to. I highly recommend Waves for a vacation! Truly a relaxing and wonderful trip!

I can't help but think that there must be 2 Waves Hotel & Spa. Our version is a 3 star hotel with staff who confuse laid-back with indifference. Our room is tired, in fact much of the hotel is. The adult only area is closed alongwith the main pool, gardens, fitness centre and spa. The food is generally dreadful. They seem to have embraced the "fusion" concept without understanding that it requires an understanding of ingredients that can work well together. Last night I wanted the pork vindaloo, it came with sticky rice and kimchi. We have struggled to eat even half of the food on our plates, what a waste. The promotional words for the hotel talk of ambassadors who are here to make our holiday a memorable experience. I have yet to find such a person. The beach is now reduced to a narrow strip which is crammed with sunbeds. I asked about taking out a hobie, I got zero response. We leave tomorrow, we are already packed.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful resort. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by the reception desk warmly, quickly offered a beverage while we waited the short 5 minutes for Prince to collect our luggage and deliver to our room. The manager walked us to our room to give us a quick tour. The water is clear and calm, towels are always readily available. Beach chairs with umbrellas are always available anytime of the day, beach service to include anything from ice water to rum punch is quick and pleasant. The housekeeping staff keeps the room crisp and clean, to include turndown service. There is no need to leave the resort for food every meal we have had has been wonderful, with great service. I do not think I have ever met a staff that loves their job as much as the Coral Reef staff. We walked to Holetown, it was a quick 15 minute walk, at all times we felt very safe both in and off the resort. This is by far our favorite trip to the Caribbean.

I visited the hotel for the second time in 30 years. The last visit was in 1993. The hotel remains a comfortable place facing a beautiful beach ahd the staff are friendly. The weekly reception at the owner's guest house provides an opportunity to meet other guests. I hope to visit the hotel again in the near future, not waiting for another 30 years :-).

I am writing this review whilst still staying at the hotel as I feel it necessary to immediately express just how wonderful our stay has been at Coral Reef Club so far. Firstly, upon arrival and checking in at reception, the hotel owner (who I believe is called Karen) greeted my wife and I, and asked us about our stay at the hotel and Barbados overall. What a beautiful touch! I don't believe I've ever had a hotel manager take the time to introduce themselves and this just made for such a great introduction to what has been such an outstanding stay. We were then taken to our room by Nigel, who has been one of the highlights of our stay. Nigel was so welcoming and hospitable in a way that makes you feel like you've been friends for such a long time and he has been another great reason why we've truly found this to be a wonderful experience. He also served my wife and I the most refreshing and delicious complimentary mocktails that we've tasted on the island. I struggled for months to choose a hotel amongst the array of options in Barbados and wasn't entirely sure about Coral Reef but, honestly, words cannot express just how overjoyed both my wife and I have been by not just the outstanding service that we've experienced so far, but also how stunning the hotel is. We can't get over the interior designs of our room (which is only a standard room) and the beautiful high beamed ceilings which we've been marveling at since arriving. Honestly, the pictures on the website don't do Coral Reef enough justice as my breath was really taken away upon arrival. From the pool areas to the spa, the entrance , the rooms and the restaurants....Coral Reef has most certainly been one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world (I travel a lot). My only regret....I wish we'd booked to stay here longer. Sadly my wife and I are checking out today. Thank you to Coral Reef for making our honeymoon stay one to remember. Also a very special thanks to the wonderful and delightful Natasha who very kindly arranged a taxi to and from and nearby restaurant for us.

We visited Sandals Barbados in June 2024 for our honeymoon. It was our first Sandals trip and can overall say we were generally very impressed and would use Sandals again. The resort was kept immaculate, with grounds staff constantly tidying and cleaning. Food was lovely and had a good variety of restaurants across both resorts. We had no issues getting a table at any of them. We had a honeymoon grade room which was in a lovely quiet part of the resort and definitely worth paying a bit extra for. I have rated service as a 4/5 (I'd give 4.5 if I could) as although 90% of staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful, the odd few that seemed they didn't want to be there did let it down a little, especially as it is a luxury resort. Overall, would recommend and were very happy with our trip!

Not even close to a 5 star. I would barely call it a 2 star based on management and staff. Staff seems unhappy to be there. Long waits on drinks at the bars. Food was average. We reserved a room almost a year ahead of time and when we arrived our room was not available. We had to switch rooms 3 times during our 5 night stay and we were never placed in the room that we reserved or paid for. Barbados is beautiful, but I would not stay at Sandals. I am very disappointed based on my previous 2 vacations at Sandals in other locations.

This place has a special place in my heart! The entertainment team are absolutely fantastic. The food is delicious, I absolutely loved the selection of fish, the gluten free options were good but it would be better if they marked gluten free clearly to save having to check everything. It was difficult to get a sunbed on the beach but we were very happy sitting by the pool, the pool staff were handing out canapés and cocktails which was nice. The beach was absolutely stunning and the evening entertainment was some of the best I've seen in a resort, i absolutely loved the silent disco. My only complaint would be that the Aircon wasn't working in our room, they tried to fix it but had no luck.

Pro's: People (staff) were very nice. Food was plentiful and descent. Unlimited booze is great. The pools were really nice. Cons: 1: We went right after a storm dumped feet of seaweed on the beach and while other beaches were cleaned up pretty quick, Sandals clean up was a slow arduous process so we never got to use it before our departure. Given the revenue of Sandals, this seems solvable and senseless. 2: The air conditioner in our room leaked water down the wall and had been for a long time. There were wet soft spots in the wall where the paint was bubbling making me concerned about mold. 3: At the beach, there were a few locals trying to sell drugs which I wasn't expecting at a higher end resort like Sandals. I feel the cons were too many for the price paid and will look elsewhere for our next vacationing resort.

My husband and I stayed at Sandals for our honeymoon for 10 nights in July. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. We'd especially like to thank: Darren - Bombay Club, Chantal - main bar in the Sandals resort, Sharita - Sky bar and Mario - photographer. We got to know each one of these lovely people a little bit while we stayed, and all had outstanding customer service, so attentive, great craic and just generally lovely people to chat to. Really impressed with the hotel however we found the majority of the staff rude , rolling their eyes in front of us & behind guests backs … we are a friendly polite & sociable couple but this made no difference to the waiting staff & supervisor at breakfast, lunch & dinner . Destiny ,front of house was amazing & new so I hope she won’t get tarnished by the older staff who clearly don’t respect the clients . We also had a hand written tip added to one of our dinner bills which we forgot to add to …… not impressed. We will not return to to just the attitude of the staff …. Such a shame

From beginning to end, my stay was nothing short of incredible! Visited Barbados for my 30th and this hotel made my stay on the island 10 times better. From the variety of food choices, peaceful scenery, lovely guests, location, the 24hr pool, open late bar and (most importantly) THE STAFF! I truly felt at home and completely welcomed. And it was genuine interactions and culturally dynamic conversations. We were able to engage with Bajan cultures and lifestyle daily. Best cocktails thanks to Rasheed, Odaine, Rashawn and Kyle. Best dining services thanks to Lashonda (Dimples) and Sabrina! Carl, Mark, Sophia, Stefan, Stadia, Armani, and Shane made sure we were good everytime we crossed paths. Security in general were friendly and easy to talk to. Sabrina and Destiny kept us together with taxi's and bookings. And special thanks to my fellow cancerian who welcomed us, took care of us the entire stay and went above and beyond every chance she got, ALANA! Lashonda even took time out her day and made me a birthday message card. Little gestures like that, mean so much! There are so many others who contributed to this incandescent experience! Thank you to Treasure Beach for allowing us to safely and freely explore all that we wanted to experience in Barbados. By far the most authentic country and culture I've come across in my travels. Staying here made my return to this island (AND hotel) a certainty.

My husband and I stayed 7 days here. The staff members were very nice, and the entertainment was amazing. Each night, there was a theme, and there were so many places to eat. There were lots of pools to choose from, and the view of the ocean from the beach was phenomenal. You have access to both resorts here; Royal Barbados and Barbados. Most places are about a 5-6 minute walk if you're going from one side to the other, so not bad at all. There were four restaurants that you needed reservations for, so I recommend you make those the same day you check in. Of all the restaurants (we ate at about 10 of them and there are about 15), I had the best experience at Kimonos. Definitely try that place out! The shuttle from the airport is only about 15-20 minutes long, so not as far as most other Sandals resorts. If you're looking to enjoy sitting next to a pool that's not very crowded, go up to Sky Terrace. It's very relaxing up there, and there's an amazing view. You also don't need to wait forever at the bar since most people are at the other pools.

I like Sandals properties however I feel the service here could be better. We happen to arrive here during Hurricane season and it was a rough two days. The communication was poor, it started off good but fell off along the way. The workers were not nice or friendly and didn't offer much information probably because they didn't know. The upside I had a great sales associate that was very helpful to me and my group. (See photos) I love that the resort is adults only, the variety of restaurants, bars and activities are great. Since it was a stormy week, we didn't see any of the nightly shows. I forgot to mention the bowling alley was fun. However there was only two working lanes and one kept breaking down while we bowled. So basically they only have one working lane. They need a bowling alley special technician. Overall it was a good experience.3.5 stars The room shown is a private villa!

We had a great week in Barbados at the Sandals Royal Barbados for our 25th anniversary. Great location. The beach was white and the ocean was a beautiful blue. Great room. Great food. The pools were amazing. The service was top notch. We will definitely go back one day!

Everyone don't go here. The service here is TERRIBLE in so many ways. First...they didn't even have a room for us! Like how?!? I confirmed our room over the phone before we arrived. Also I added our honeymoon package and got a confirmation email saying the honeymoon package is noted on our booking. And yet we arrive and we don't have a room? They were able to scramble and have a room ready for us that day, but it was a far cry from our beautiful room on the Royal side. Also about our honeymoon package that included rose petals in the floor and bed along with champagne and breakfast in bed....we didn't get that until I had to beg them on the third day to do them. On the third day we did get our champagne and rose petals but really as per email, it should have been on the first day so that we're greeted with that honeymoon welcome. As for breakfast in bed.....we filled out the request card and had it on our door as instructed to. Next day....we didn't get our breakfast in bed. Had to call room service and beg them to bring us breakfast. We eventually did but..they didn't bring all the food we requested 😔. Also one day they took out the towels from the room but...never replaced them. This is a first in ANY hotel I've ever been in. We had to beg them to bring us towels and toiletries for the room. This is horrible especially from the Sandals name. I expected better. Especially for the amount of money paid. The good news is that the resort is beautiful and the food is good. Expect a 1 hour wait for food. And restaurants where you don't have a reservation, expect a 2 hour wait to get into the restaurant then a 1 hour wait for food. Had a horrible experience with Sandals. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here.

Sandals Royal Barbados was a dream! My husband and I had a fantastic stay. This is our second Sandals stay (Royal Bahamian being our first). We stayed for 4 days, 5 nights, which in my opinion was the perfect amount. I would recommend making reservations the day you arrive for the restaurants that require reservations. If you plan on snorkeling (the one included in your stay), I would recommend also booking that the day you arrive, as they only go out every other day. The stay at 1, play at 2 (Barbados) was awesome. The only downside is that the restaurants are pretty busy, so plan accordingly. Lastly, I would recommend waking up early to 1) Get beach towels and 2) Reserve your spot on the beach as it is first come, first serve. We can’t wait for our next Sandals trip to Dunn’s River next May 2025!

I am incredibly disappointed with the management of the Elegant chain . We had a confirmed booking at Waves Barbados, but they changed our hotel last minute, offering us their sister property, The Coral then The House etc. This was extremely inconvenient and caused a lot of stress as we had planned everything around staying at Waves. To make matters worse, communication was dreadful. They took ages to reply to our emails, leaving us in the dark and anxious about our accommodation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially given the reputation and cost of staying at such an establishment. I sincerely hope our stay improves, but this has left a very bad taste in our mouths. Avoid if you want a hassle-free vacation.

My husband and I stayed at this resort for our Anniversary. We were very disappointed in the customer service. They gave us a room that did not lock. Only the first door locked not the second door that’s used to enter the room. We had to push furniture up against the door to feel safe the first night because no one could help us. The next day we communicated with them about our door not locking so they assured us it would be fixed. My husband and I went back to our room after being provided a different key. The door was already unlocked so we assumed the key was working. We left back out for awhile and upon entering our room the second door did not lock. We made CS aware and they again told us they had it fixed. Well my husband seen the staff climb over the balcony and went in thru the patio door to unlock the door so we could enter our room. Once again no one was available to fix the lock. Again we had to push furniture up to the door to feel safe. Next issue the room had a smell. It reminded me of a sewer smell. We asked staff if we could change rooms and they told us the resort was sold out. So we was forced to stay in that room with sewer smell. Lastly, we scheduled a massage a week before arrival. When we went down to the spa no one was there. We waited there almost an hour an no one showed. They finally told us the lady who works in the spa called in. I asked why weren’t notified instead of wasting an hour of our day sitting here. No one had an answer for us. Our Anniversary trip was ruined. Not to mention the amount of money spent to get to Barbados

The House was a wonderful situated boutique hotel on the most beautiful beach. The staff was very attentive and very sweet. A shout out to Andrew and Kobie (spelling on Kobie). They were great at their jobs and were so personable. The food was great and the bar was always hoping. From oysters and champagne on the beach to the rum punch being served beach side, we had a fabulous time.

Stayed for our honeymoon. It started great, The staff were very friendley, and the views are superb. However management descided our honeymoon is unimportant. They overbooked the hotel, someone did a buyout. We were forced to pack and move nexdoor to a different hotel with minimal notice, and no compensation. We were not told at check-in. I would warn against long trips here. We would have just cut the honeymoon a day shorter if we had any notice. Worst part is leaving a sour tasts at the end of what was supposed to be a fantastic honeymoon. Not shure we will be returning.

Having had 10 days there found the place brilliant but a bit tired, staff were excellent very willing to help at all times. Loads of walks on the beach, people very friendly. Had a tour round the island and found the driver Charles very knowledgeable. Had a catamaran trip (cool running) the staff and food brilliant.
