I've had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton several times for work. The staff are considerate and friendly, though not overly so. The views are the very best part of this resort, spectacular in every direction. I enjoyed the ease of long walks along the quiet beach in the mornings, although the gym is more than adequate. The sound of the surf 🏄‍♂️, the level sand and the historic ruins in both directions is a positive start to the day. The amenities are top notch and staff are ready to meet any reasonable request. The location is walking distance to other dining at other resorts and on beaches nearby. However, it's easy enough to get a taxi (a bit costly) or a bus (after a few minutes walk). The wifi is generally fast enough and the spa has the usual costly offerings. The area, Needham's point, is a treat for anyone who enjoys luxury, history and/or nature.

As Hiltons go, it was a great experience. I always enjoy my Hilton stays when working. The rooms were clean, comfortable and on the 7th floor, I had a fantastic view of the ocean. The restaurant is decent with meals prepared decently quick and good variety. Unfortunately the hotel's location doesn't leave many other food options within walking distance but still worth the stay. Taxi rides are readily available for any traveling from the hotel.

Ignore the 5 star reviews, this place is a 2 star resort at best. My 5th time here and it keeps getting worse. They simply don’t have housekeeping staff and rely on airlines to keep business going. A hotel that doesn’t clean rooms daily! You only get your room after a hoard of airline staff leave. This hotel is allowing late checkouts at the expense of arriving guests. Like everyone, arrived at 3pm, no room at 4pm waited till 5pm and no hope in sight for a suite that cost $1400. Here with small children for one night and nothing more than a meaningless apology. The staff are genuinely indifferent to the number of people in the lobby waiting for a room after check in time and this this is clearly their regular business practice. Hilton Barbados will ruin your vacation, hard to do in a tropical climate but they have done it. If the person replying to the reviews would roll up their sleeves and clean a room, this might not be such a regular issue. But they will just tell me to go to their website and send them a message so they seem concerned.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions over the last two years for both business and holiday. It is incomprehensible how the services are getting deteriorated. I have booked ocean view standard room from their website. When I arrive at the hotel I was told that they have run out of ocean view standard room. This is despite having a clear proof of booking including advance payment of the first night and despite being a Hilton Honors member. I was offered a reduced rate 'upgrade' to premium room with additional 40 USD per night. I have agreed out of lack of options and as I was already charged for the first night. On check out day I found out that I was locked out of my room 15 minutes before the 11:00 deadline, while I was heading to pick my packed luggage and clear out on time at 11:00. I went to the front desk to ask for extension so that I can clear the room after picking my luggage. I was at the front desk queue at 10:50 and I was only able to be attended by the front desk agent called SAMARA only at 11:10 as both agents were busy with single customers for 20 minutes. When she attended me Samara was very upset that I didn't checkout on the check out time of 11:00 as they are fully booked. I tried to explain calmly on what has happened. Instead, she has raised her voice and started uttering inappropriate words. When I said I will file a complaint as her treatment is not appropriate, she was even furious and said in a very disturbing loud voice 'I can write you my name. You can complain'. I was shocked by this treatment. Once I checked out I tried to reach the general manager or the duty manager to file a complaint on several occasions and my calls consistently been directed to answering machine. I suspect it was intentional as I mentioned to the operator that I wanted to file a complaint. I will never stay again and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is nice and in a great location. The only issue with this hotel is the service. It takes at least an hour to receive your food after you order it. Some of the staff behind the bar are not friendly. They catered more to the White European guests than the Black guests who stayed on the resort.

I hate to write this, but I feel that it may help other clients. First of all, I have to say most of the staff were amazing, helpful, and hard-working. The cons, the property is far away from everything, if you want to experience anything off-property, everything is a good 45-50 mins drive and the price is around $70 each way, super expensive. It's beachfront but you can't really enjoy the beach as it's super rocky, lots of seaweed, and the tide is so high, that there is no way you should go into the water, it's way too dangerous. The property is brand new, but from the looks of it, it looks like it's been open for over 5 years or so, there was rusting in our room, things were already broken, etc. The room was not cleaned well at all, hair all over the floor, hair in the bathroom, shower felt gross. One of the days no one cleaned our room, we complained to the front desk 3-4 times and nothing, finally when my husband got really upset someone finally came to clean the room. The property only has 3 restaurants, 1 buffet place, 1 grill restaurant that serves bar-type food, and 1 fancy place that doesn't allow kids under 12, keep in mind this part is not advertised on their website. Basically, we ate at the buffet place every night, which was just not fun especially when we've went to other all-inclusive resorts and most of them have at least 7-8 restaurants to try out. Overall, the staff was super sweet, but I do not recommend this property, it's too far from everything and it's too "new" that they are just not ready for a big crowd.

Was a bit nervous after reading some reviews online, but had a fantastic time with some a large groups of friend and family. Some areas and restaurants still have not opened, but what was offered to us was very good and exceeded my expectation, especially for an all-inclusive. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, really everyone was great. I guess only thing I can say is that drinks/food orders can take a bit of time in certain areas, mainly the pool grill, so once they can get an extra set of skilled hands behind the bar etc- it will be solid. This area is a bit more rugged on the beach, but low tide pools are just down the steps to the beach and a very short and scenic walk. Rooms were nice- simple, clean and nice products. Loved how our bracelets were room keys and all that we needed while we were there (just remember tip money for staff!) (Did notice a bit of single use plastics for a sustainable resort, so maybe something they will figure out soon :)) It was great and a fantastic staycation we were looking for!

April-15-24…...Ill start with this the location was far from everything, you have to leave the resort to enjoy Barbados, there was no entertainment, no night life, no swim up bar it was under renovations, no 24/7 all inclusive meals, it cost 23$ for 24/7 in room service. The staff was nice. My room was clean. I emailed someone several times before we got there about decorating for my husband’s birthday and when we got there it was NOT done. The food was med other than the one restaurant they have. The “grill” says 11 opening time but don’t open until 12. The one thing i loved about the resort is the view we had from our room. You can’t go on the beach because of the waves they won’t let you. DONT FORGET TO ASK ABOUT THE MONKEYS, I was chased by one lol! This is a one and done for me. Thanks P.S. the people in these reviews are just being nice, it’s literally nothing to do at this resort.

I stayed at Wyndham Grand Barbados for a couple of days in March '24 with my partner and we had an all around great stay. We really enjoyed the food, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, especially in the grill bar by the pool as well as the a la carte fine-dining restaurant. And the best part: everything was included. We spent a few days in the hotel by the several pools and relaxed on the cabanas. Everything is very modern and the friendly staff fulfilled every wish we had, be it specialty cocktails or fetching fresh towels. Our highlight: taking a swim in the natural tide pools on the beach in front of the compound. And when we felt like doing excursions and exploring the island, the front staff gave us great tips and assisted us with everything. All in all a great couple days on Barbados, we will come again!

Our family had an amazing stay at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord's Castle Resort. We stayed 5 nights in March. We knew the resort is still in the process of being finalized (spa, gym etc.), we knew exactly the location of the resort and we rented a car to move around the island. The reservations team was so helpful and responsive - Michelle, Jennifer from the reservations team. Check in was done by Tanya, very friendly and quick process, she also gave us a tour and showed us to our room. I also want to thank Concierge team - Shivonne, she was very responsive whenever we needed something during our stay and HUGE thank you to Raquel in Concierge/Guest Services who was a pleasure to work with. Always so nice and professional and arranged decorating our room for my son's birthday! It was truly appreciated! We loved all our interactions with the wonderful staff, namely Jahshaydi, Vanessa, the great pizza chef (I forgot his name) who made sure that my kids had fresh and hot pizzas. Thank you to maintenance team who helped us resolve the ceiling fan issues, to our room attendants who kept our room clean and stocked up. The staff was great! We loved everyone! Thank you to all the hardworking people at the resort.

Lots of goods and lots of bads —- We spent a week at the Colony Club Hotel in April 2024. It was a lovely week and we had a good time. There were lots of negatives and lots of positives! One disaster is how unfriendly the staff are. With a handful of exceptions of nice staff, the majority of the rest were somewhere between ignorant and almost harshly unfriendly. Even when you approached the staff with a bright smile and "good morning", there was usually no warm or friendly response. We have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. And it wasn't just us who were treated so rudely, but all the guests. I found two small birds kept in a barren cage next to the restaurant very unkind. This is good for nothing and terrible to look at! The hotel is getting on in years, but is expected to be renovated from the end of April 2024. The fantastic beach deserves a special mention! Unbeatably beautiful! The free water sports facilities are also great! The quality of the live music in the evenings (which changed daily) was excellent and provided a wonderful atmosphere during the very good food. The lush green gardens are just as beautiful. So the possibilities are there!!! Probably being renovated now too... now if they could just find nice and friendly staff it could be great.

Awful service throughout from the front desk to restaurants to cleaning staff. SPA massages not only expensive but not worth a quarter the price…don’t seem trained at all. Cleaning staff left room open and unlocked during stay. Room not cleaned properly, and not ready for check in. No communication skills. Overall, understaffed and under-trained, and with very poor attitude.

This is the very first time EVER; I’ve given a bad review. I’ve always given fantastic reviews, to all the people that have given me a brilliant service and deserve the commendation because they’re genuinely outstanding..!! However: The thought of other people, paying for what they think is going to be an expensive beautiful luxury holiday, for some - a lifetime holiday, that they’ve worked really hard for years for - Fills me with absolute horror. They’re going into a situation that’s been/being created, for reasons unknown to them. 1) Meet and Greet non existent - carried my own luggage in. 2) Get to the room, a little late for dinner. My partner continuously tries to call room service and reception: No answer. In the end bless; she had to go to reception and do it(last thing yo want to do when you’ve just arrived). The eye rolling, sharp intakes of breath started at this point. 3) How this place is marketed and sold to people, is a lie. It’s not fit for purpose. It doesn’t need renovating, it needs knocking down. 4)Under staffed. So badly, every member of staff is miserable or rude. Why you might ask? Well if everyone/guests are constantly moaning at them, and for good reasons, the whole atmosphere and vibe is just horrible. 5) Breakfast 07:30am. No chance. Staff are just turning up, and the vibe is horrible; it’s like watching a sponsored go slow. 6) People queueing for 30-40 minutes, all looking at a completely empty restaurant. Actually that’s not true. There are about 30-40 birds all sitting around the building waiting to pounce. There’s even a birds nest in the ceiling. It was like eating in a great big bird cage. 7) Everything in the place is bent/wonky/not straight/bodged up, honestly it is ridiculous. 8) Drain pipes and guttering broken, all wonky. Plumbing everywhere is failing or bodged. Pipes to toilets were so poorly fitted because nothing is level, you just know it’s only a matter of time. 9) Beach closed for a day because of raw sewage being pumped into it. Red flags were up, the smell was horrendous 10) Sandbags outside hotel rooms in case of flooding; even the newly renovated one. 11) Black mould on most of the outside paintwork. 12) The roof on the building is seriously dangerous. As you look up, or over a balcony, nothing is in situ; it’s all just falling. 13) pool bar never opened on time; the time it took for people to get served or worst still look at their drink made and sitting on the side for 15 minutes definitely made frayed tensions, turn up and say hello on more than one occasion. 14) Food was rubbish and cold, dangerous really when none of the breakfast buffet pans had heat working properly so the food could be a correct temperature. Even when you got back to your wonky table with bird crap on it, the birds wouldn’t chance it. 15) The pool…!! Looks fabulous in photographs; in reality it’s diabolical, it should never have been reopened. The paint around the edges has never been done properly; even a newby DIYer would know, that a bit of masking tape would have avoided hundreds and hundreds of paint runs, I’ve got to be honest I don’t know how it’s even happened. All the pool bottoms are worn with great big worn out patches all around it 16) There’s only one men’s and ladies loo. And it’s not near the pool. When you read the reviews properly, this has been going on for a long time. I asked from day 1 to be relocated, messaged the Rep, and asked continuously/daily..!! It’s not worth anything like the cleverly worded brochures. I was fuming, totally ripped off. I just can’t believe these huge companies, that know we put faith in them; are doing it to people. I heard the phrase "it’s just not acceptable" about a million times from nearly every guest; this is really really serious. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE IT’S MISERABLE..!! *ONLY 5 VIEWS**ONLY 5 VIEW**ONLY 5 VIEWS*

My wife and I have just spent 12 nights at the Colony Club hotel. It is probably the best experience in an hotel we have had. With great thanks to all the staff from the kitchen, waitresses,waiters and reception. We cannot mention them all by name but special notes for Brian , John and Monica who catered for our every need. We decided to check out this hotel because it was rated highly by Condé Naste this year. Overall, not our cup of tea. We were expecting some self-awareness woven into the whimsical and aesthetic colonial environs, but the place is extremely British without the slightest hint of irony. Imposingly so. The property is lacking some luxury touches that usually come at this price point. The food is expensive, quite bland, and per the property’s rules, the only option (even then, with limited availability). Service is rigid with not much attention to guest comfort. There is no service to the deck loungers, you cannot eat there and you need to venture into the bar to get drinks. The staff do not pick up around the deck throughout the day, as such, many seats sit vacant unclear if anyone is returning. Except, the staff are sure to start clearing off the chairs and packing them away for the night starting promptly at 4:30 pm. Those aren’t uncovered again until 9:30 am. This practice gives the property an unwelcoming feeling. Especially in a place where most rooms are set back in the gardens, I would have liked to sit on the deck loungers in the evening and not on the moldy chair covers. The beach situation is less than ideal: there are no beach loungers and it seems like the hotel hardly expects guests to go into the water. But of course, this is the best thing about being in Barbados. For us, this stay was a helpful reminder that Barbados is indeed a land of luxury but those luxuries don’t cost what Cobblers Cove is charging - the sun, sand, and breathtaking blue waters; Mount Gay rum, fresh fish, real jerk chicken, roti and fish cakes. Next time, we’ll stay where we can get the classic Bajan comforts around the clock.

Would not recommend, overpriced, obviously not managed properly, very unprofessionally managed, unhappy overworked employees with poor customer skills. Food is ok. Ambiance is very stuffy, uptight and dull. No privacy, small pool, beach is nothing out of the ordinary. Safe your money and book some better tropical high end resort. The services are very slow, no interest in informing guest about activities, non existent concierge services.

Colonian styled Cobblers Cove is beautiful, with very pretty gardens and a lovely pool. It is all maintained extremely well and the service is impeccable. Food is of a high standard and the breakfasts are amazing. Pretty, sandy beach with walks in each direction and very handy for Speightstown. I thoroughly recommend and have already booked our return next year.

I pen this review with a mix of emotions, as my husband and I, frequent visitors to Cobbler's Cove, recently encountered a stay that left us somewhat disheartened. The transition under new management, with a new owner and general manager, brought forth a series of disappointments. Opting for one of the premier suites, a choice we've cherished on previous visits, our enthusiasm was quickly tempered upon entering the bedroom. A pervasive scent of mold and mildew greeted us, emanating from the wall-to-wall sisal natural fiber rug. Given my sensitivity to such allergens, it was clear that we couldn't endure a night in these conditions. The manager, commendably, suggested removing the rug; however, we realized that the problem persisted, as mold and mildew had permeated all the fabrics in the room, rendering a simple rug removal ineffective. In response, we relocated to a smaller oceanfront room with stunning Terrazzo floors, devoid of the mold concern. However, our dismay resurfaced when we were informed of a necessary room change for our final two nights. Crucially, despite repeated inquiries about the new room's specifics, the manager evaded providing a clear answer. Unfortunately, we discovered too late, at 4:00 on the day of the move, that the replacement room was one of the least desirable on the property—a ground-floor space facing a fence by the restaurant. It is worth noting that the oceanfront suite is priced at $1,030, significantly lower than the Camelot suite at $1,575. The lack of transparency about our room change was puzzling, leaving us questioning why our suite wasn't offered as an upgrade to another guest for those two nights, and we could have stayed where we were. Despite these challenges, the staff remained pleasant and accommodating, maintaining the standard of service we have come to appreciate. However, it's evident that the property requires attention and is beginning to show signs of aging. Notably, the diminishing beachfront adds to the overall sense of wear and tear. While our recent stay was marred by unforeseen challenges, we acknowledge the enduring charm of Cobbler's Cove and hope that the management addresses these concerns to restore the former allure we have enjoyed over the years. We had a very pleasant stay while we were at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent and delicious especially the fish dishes.

Other than location, this is not a 5 star resort. Service was minimal. It took a minimum of ten minutes to get coffee at breakfast. We only ate dinner there once as the service was so slow and the food was just OK. We went elsewhere for dinner and received great service. We could not get towels before 9:00 am for the beach. When we went to get a kayak one afternoon, we were told the staff member was at lunch and we would have to wait. When we were disappointed by that, she tried to get a manager to help and he also said we would have to wait. But then Ray decided he would get it for us which was great. He at least had customer service skills.

Don’t let the high price fool you into thinking this is a luxury venue. It’s isn’t worth a quarter of the price (compared to the hotels next door, one of which we moved to after cutting our Fairmont visit short). The main area for the beach/pool bar was closed and under renovation so not only were there reduced facilities (and the Fairmont doesn’t have many to start. No spa, no water sports facility (except a tired cat and some boards), no sports, etc), but we also had workmen in our ‘private’ terrace and beach space. The workmen were noisy, speaking loudly and forcing my wife and I to abandon any plans for Sun lounging during our days. We left the hotel every day to escape. For USD2k per day, it’s a complete rip-off. When raising this with the hotel, it took them 4 days to address our complaints. Our final solution was to cut our stay short and leave. The ‘compensation’ from the hotel; they didn’t charge us for the nights that we didn’t use. If you want a holiday where you feel ripped off every second of your stay, then the Fairmont is for you.

We were in awe of the beauty, luxury and service at Fairmont. My husband and I traveled here for a funeral and we did not book our room until we were getting on the airplane at 8:30pm. The staff arranged for us to be walked through customs at 2:30am and had a driver waiting in a luxury vehicle. When we arrived at the hotel it was warm and humid out, they greeted us with a cool washcloth covered in aromatic scents to clean our faces and hands. Then we were walked to our beautiful ocean facing room. The hotel was quiet, tranquil and calm. The sounds of the ocean right outside of our window was soothing. It was a perfect stay for a couple, retirees, or people looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle of a city or large crowd. Breakfast was served daily. The one thing that we learned though, is you need to keep the AC on, if not the humidity will make the floors and walls very slippery. We each almost slipped a couple times. Thank you to Fairmont for a nice 3 day weekend.

The food the hotel and the beach was fantastic We stayed there for two weeks in September and it was an amazing experience HOWEVER there is a water sport attendant at the beach called Ryan who is quite rude. He came up to us and asked for a hug and as a woman I don’t hug people I don’t meet as it makes me uncomfortable I prefer to shake hands . He told my boyfriend I was rude while I was standing there On a separate occasion we came to the beach club and he approached me and asked how I was-this is a week after we checked out and didn’t realize we had a fairmont towel from the apartment we were now staying at. He snatched the towel from me and my boyfriend and said it was not ours and to leave it here. I love the hotel and food and location- but my experience with Ryan has been unpleasant on multiple occasions and as a frequent visitor to this island I will be sure not to attend the beach bar any longer

First time at a Sandals& first time traveling out of the US. Overall, a great experience! We would go back to Barbados or another Sandals. Lots of other people there spoke highly of Sandals as a whole. Very nice to hear as first timers. They give small portions, as shown in the one picture, which IS nice I can finally eat appetizer(s), entree, AND dessert. & You can just keep ordering more than that anyway!! Another bonus, sitting by& swimming in the pool& then having quick access to the beach (I think you can see by zooming in one or 2 photos)

Couldn't recommend. Overpriced for an all inclusive resort. Staff good but let down by mediocre food. Couple of good restaurants, CHI and Bombay. Rooms good size and nice. Great location and beautiful island. Require to book some restaurants but very difficult to get booking unless you are Butler level. We were in resort for 10 days and only managed one late dining booking. Walk-in restaurants require to wait up to 2hrs at normal eating timed (7-8pm). Food average, except for 2 mentioned above, and certainly not 5 star as advertised. Would say similar to mid range Spanish all inclusive. If coming here would recommend planning ahead dining schedule and book restaurants well in advance of arrival via Sandals App.

I've been to 3 other Sandals Resorts and this was absolutely the worst. Upon arrival I was disappointed at the look and feel of the resort. The furniture was old and dingy and the resort was mediocre! No 5 star experience here. The staff was HORRIBLE and appeared to be extremely unhappy. Thankfully I purchased a room with a pool as the water in the other pools looked murky. WORST Sandals experience ever however the beach was absolutely beautiful! Trust the reviews and don't waste your money on this resort. Lastly, the pictures on the website are nothing like what the resort looked like on my visit a week ago the resort needs to be updated ASAP!

We’ve been to 10 different Sandals locations over 20 years. So about 50 nights. We’ve been to 4 the last two years. Barbados is beautiful, the resort is dated but the grounds and rooms are clean. Horribly managed and short staffed is the primary issue. The employees are clearly very unhappy, they’ve been short on common items. They were so short today, the told us housekeeping wouldn’t be able to service the room. Sandals was a 5 star organization, the dramatic shift is in management, and profits first before clients. If you can’t staff it, don’t sell all the rooms out. Sandals was much better during the pandemic than now. I’m embarrassed for the owner, the managers and feel horrible for their employees. At this point, know where you are staying. There is better value other places.

The resort a three-star establishment. Did not meet my expectations. The food and service were mediocre. The complimentary shuttle was not waiting for us, and we had to wait for over an hour in the heat. Additionally, the beach is accessible to the public, which may not be ideal for those seeking a private beach experience.

This is the typical Caribbean bait and switch. The words are just perfect on the website, the experience is far from it. We were told we’d be beachfront with sweeping views - we were ground floor and saw vegetation and lots of Canadians and Brit’s outside our patio blocking the view. As for the attentive concierge, we asked for dining recommendation and were handed a book with not even a hello. Things didn’t turn around once we asked to speak with a property manager. The manager was more sophisticated, kind and did her best. She did give terrific recommendations for restaurants. The complimentary snorkel experience which is promoted as part of the turtle sanctuary was a speed boat that takes you a bit out and there is no to little conservation. The staff who did this were extremely engaging and we had a nice time. The restaurant staff were very kind and attentive. The food was overpriced and quality was fine. I recommend this place if you want to overpay for a decent pool and beach. This is not a luxury resort. At best, it’s a decent VRBO called a resort.

Excellent stay we were upgrade from a 1 bedroom to a 3 bedroom. The villa/apartment was very modern and had been recently updated and was immaculate. The bed was firm and we got an excellent night's sleep every night. The views of the ocean from our outdoor patio were stunning. The staff at the restaurant, housekeeping and the front desk were very nice. We spent most of our time when not on the beach or in the pool on the terrace outside our room soaking up the views or resting in the hot tub. Wonderful stay we really enjoyed it.

Beautiful well appointed suites, friendly staff along with good food and nice pool. Fantastic place for a family vacation. Excellent spot for kids to search for sea glass. It would have been 5 stars except for some areas of the beach have a rocky entry. (The best spot to get in the ocean is at the southern end of the property)

Apartments lovely . Nice pool and beach. Best of all are the restaurant staff, Paula and the Chef Mitch were fab, the food is very good and one of the best meals we have had. We went to Lone Star the night before and the food at St Peters Bay was so much better

I visited the hotel for the second time in 30 years. The last visit was in 1993. The hotel remains a comfortable place facing a beautiful beach ahd the staff are friendly. The weekly reception at the owner's guest house provides an opportunity to meet other guests. I hope to visit the hotel again in the near future, not waiting for another 30 years :-).

I am writing this review whilst still staying at the hotel as I feel it necessary to immediately express just how wonderful our stay has been at Coral Reef Club so far. Firstly, upon arrival and checking in at reception, the hotel owner (who I believe is called Karen) greeted my wife and I, and asked us about our stay at the hotel and Barbados overall. What a beautiful touch! I don't believe I've ever had a hotel manager take the time to introduce themselves and this just made for such a great introduction to what has been such an outstanding stay. We were then taken to our room by Nigel, who has been one of the highlights of our stay. Nigel was so welcoming and hospitable in a way that makes you feel like you've been friends for such a long time and he has been another great reason why we've truly found this to be a wonderful experience. He also served my wife and I the most refreshing and delicious complimentary mocktails that we've tasted on the island. I struggled for months to choose a hotel amongst the array of options in Barbados and wasn't entirely sure about Coral Reef but, honestly, words cannot express just how overjoyed both my wife and I have been by not just the outstanding service that we've experienced so far, but also how stunning the hotel is. We can't get over the interior designs of our room (which is only a standard room) and the beautiful high beamed ceilings which we've been marveling at since arriving. Honestly, the pictures on the website don't do Coral Reef enough justice as my breath was really taken away upon arrival. From the pool areas to the spa, the entrance , the rooms and the restaurants....Coral Reef has most certainly been one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world (I travel a lot). My only regret....I wish we'd booked to stay here longer. Sadly my wife and I are checking out today. Thank you to Coral Reef for making our honeymoon stay one to remember. Also a very special thanks to the wonderful and delightful Natasha who very kindly arranged a taxi to and from and nearby restaurant for us.

This is my favourite spa on island. Words can not express how much I love this spa. From their heated pool, to steam room, to lunch on the deck, what more could I ask for. This feels like a get away in the midst of all of the amenities close by on the west coast. The staff I’ve interacted with have been professional and offered excellent customer service. I usually get a massage when I go and always enjoy it. My only regret it that they close around September when I celebrate my birthday, but I understand as they must have some downtime. Everything is well maintained with well manicured gardens. I love it here!!!

As a young couple who have done a lot of high end travel both together and individually, there are few places we have visited that we have desired to return as much post-departure as Sandpiper. Sandpiper does all the ‘little things’ well - which is not easily accomplished. A juice bar run by Damian serving up green juices and other smoothies (with ‘shots’ each morning at breakfast); complimentary sorbet by the beach as an afternoon refresher; excellent service no matter where you are on the property (incl. poolside (there are two), beach (or beach patio); free tennis clinic every afternoon (cold towels provided courtside); an excellent front desk who is helpful prior to check in and during stay - the list goes on. In addition to the above - the ‘standard fare’ for a top quality hotel is easily met - delicious food (we are foodies; this is important…); comfortable beds and bathrooms; lovely and attentative service and so on. At first we were surprised meeting a guest who had returned every year for 12 years… the novelty wore off as we met additional guests at their 28th year, 30th year - you get the point… We like smaller high end hotels. Sandpiper’s ~50 rooms is small compared to Sandy Lane or sister property Coral Reef - but having gone to Coral Reef for drinks and Sandy Lane for dinner - it confirmed our relative preference for Sandpiper. Sandpiper is your exceptionally tasteful, understated yet refined boutique hotel that still has top notch amenities and service; the bigger brethren are a ‘scene’ and less intimate (though it is fun being able to walk to Coral Reef to spend a sunset there). Hats off to the GM and owners for creating a property so special. My only two suggestions would be to put an overhead fan in the room for those who like a little less AC while sleeping and put a screen on the patio door to enjoy fresh air sans bugs. The beach and surrounding beaches are the best on the island (ask the locals who visit the area around the Sandpiper!) the swimming and access to some awesome snorkeling and tennis coaching !! The food is always spectacular… and most importantly the staff are amazing and caring people …

The Sandpiper is the most lovely hotel you can only have dreams about. Every visit I have had year after year I am treated as family. The grounds, the food, the exceptional service will keep me coming back over and over. I also play tennis every day with the best guest tennis professional ever. Sandals continues to amaze me with our recent visit to our new favourite Sandals resort: Sandals Royal Barbados. The breathtaking beauty of the location, the phenomenal, hardworking staff, and the overall atmosphere made us feel grateful every day to be there. We spent our mornings with coffee on our patio, followed by a trip to our favourite beach in the Caribbean, and afternoons in our swim up pool. There is so much care that goes into cultivating every experience at Sandals and it shows. We couldn’t wait to book our return trip for all of the above reasons, but mostly because of our butler team (Ron, Shakeel and Kevan) who brought so much joy, fun and a passion for what they do. We can’t wait to return! We go to Sandals because we are reassured everything will be taken care of, the properties are stunning, the water is safe, the food is great and we can escape from our day to day chaos. Now we feel like we’re returning to visit family at this specific resort and especially with the best butler team out there! *I need to add after reading reviews, and watching guests interact with staff - my respect for the sandals team has increased tenfold. I look at pictures of “bad experiences” like sand on the edges of the pool or hear someone scolding staff because a restaurant didn’t have air conditioning. The sand is there from disrespectful guests who didn’t wash their feet after the beach, not the staff who are up at 4am cleaning all the pools. You’re in the Caribbean for the heat, if an air conditioner is broken, so what - eat somewhere else or go to your room. If you go looking for faults, you’ll find them, but 99% of a trip can be wonderful and people share low ratings or treat staff like garbage. The only bad part of our trip was the guests who acted like this.*

The complimentary shuttle was not waiting for us, and we had to wait for over an hour in the heat. Additionally, the beach is accessible to the public, which may not be ideal for those seeking a private beach experience.

Staying at Sandals in Barbados is getting 2 resorts for the price of one! I loved it! We had a swim up pool looking out to the infinity pool across the way. Every part of both resorts was breathtaking. The staff are slower because they are on island time and I understand that. We went with a group of 4 couples. The staff are nice and always greet you in passing. The island is stunning with so much to do…party all night or stay in your room. The ocean was right near our room. The food was good, my favorite was Chi Asian Fusion. The drinks were flowing and everyone seemed so happy and relaxed.I highly recommend this resort. The only reason I rated the room 4 stars is because of the humidity and damp smell. The locals said they’ve never had this much humidity before.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful resort last week (April 10 - 17 2024) and absolutely loved it! The grounds are amazing. The food and drinks are delicious. THe chefs and the staff in the restaurants are amazing. The lobster is plentiful, even lobster omelettes are offer for breakfast at the Greenhouse Restaurant. The entire staff was polite, professional, accommodating and fun! It's hard to narrow it down to mention a few of the workers because they were ALL amazing but I do have a few I want to put in a good word for who went above and beyond. First as a travel agent I like to do site inspections/tours at the resorts I visit to see different room categories and be more informed about the resort for my clients. Fabiana in the sales department gave myself and a couple other agents a very informative 2 hour tour and she also helped get our room moved due to our first room being in a noisy location. Secondly I want to give props to the girls working the swim up pool bar in the pool by the Jerk Shack. They really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having fun and kept a pleasant, attentive attitude even when they were nonstop busy. One girl was absolutely amazing there and her name is Annette. She made the best drinks and never stopped smiling. I also want to acknowledge the staff in Club Sandals and the entire concierge team. They know what excellence is and they deliver it! Lastly I have to say great job to the housekeeping and grounds staff for always making everything look and feel perfect! While the location and facilities are gorgeous, the hotel seems to be barely keeping its head above water. Some examples: 1. Room service was almost a nonstarter and we wish we had saved our money and booked a room without it. Calling them was a challenge as it would go to voicemail (which was full) or we would be hung up on. I was only able to get through if I called the concierge and was transferred directly. You can then expect about a 90 min wait (if it comes at all). 2. The staff just seem miserable. Not all, but around 80%. It always seemed like we were inconveniencing the staff for something as simple as asking for a new drink or placing your order. The first two folks we interacted with at the front desk and our morning tour guide, set an unpleasant service tone that lasted for the majority of the trip. We kept this to ourselves the first day until we chatted with multiple couples who said the same thing to us. Made us feel like we were not crazy. Then we checked the google reviews and that confirmed that this was not just us. 3. I've got to imagine my second issue has to do with my 3rd. The hotel is insanely understaffed. Everyone is slammed all the time. Lovers Lane during the evening rush, is a 30 min wait for a drink. It's not because the staff is slow, there was just one bartender working most nights. Any bar during its busy hours was understaffed. Getting house keeping to your room to restock the bar with waters or getting your sheets changed is an all day endeavor with a few different phone calls. Took us 2 days for clean sheets. I'd say 30-40% of the time the phone was not answered at all. "I'll be right back" from a server or staff member means to not be seen for a long time if not ever again. Ordering a drink from the bar for dinner is 20 min. We learned just to show up with a drink. Even with this feedback, I do want to share that we did not have a bad time by any means. There was lots of space for privacy, the drinks were strong and it was a great place to relax. But due to the reasons we outlined above, we are holding back from booking another Sandals vacation.

I had the absolute best solo birthday trip in Barbados thanks to my stay at O2 Beach Club and Spa. I stayed for a short period approximately April 2nd - April 6th, yet the staff there made it a memorable trip that I will always remember fondly. Firstly, on arrival I was greeted and checked-in by Janelle who was very nice and welcoming. She made the check-in process smooth and hassle free and made me feel welcomed on arrival. I was then given a tour of the property by Chiana who was very friendly and informative. Chiana was also kind enough to make me reservations for dinner for my first night at the resort, which I was grateful for. Both Janelle and Chiana set the tone for what was going to be a very great 4 day trip! The resort was absolutely stunning and my suite had a direct view of the ocean with a full mini-fridge. The property is so beautiful and just as advertised. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but unfortunately did not plan for any excursions ahead of time due to my busy work schedule days leading up to the trip. Anthony at guest services was a huge help in helping me arrange my excursions at the last minute. Anthony scheduled the catamaran cruise excursion, and a private island tour including Harrison’s cave, Mount gay rum tour, and flower animal cave for the last 2 days of my trip. I had a great time doing both activities and really go to explore the island of Barbados and learn it’s rich history. More of the staff that made my stay special include Joyanne, Nickoletta, Ronaldo, and Shadell who helped give me suggestions on what I could do while in Barbados and were also very welcoming. This was my first solo trip and as a young woman I felt completely safe. The drivers/taxi’s arranged by the resort for me to go on my excursions were all operated by respectable and professional people. I would recommend any female solo traveler to stay here, you will have the best time!!

Such an amazing stay at this hotel.. staff are so unbelievably kind and welcoming.. you can tell they genuinely enjoy working at this hotel and take pride in what they do. The House was a wonderful situated boutique hotel on the most beautiful beach. The staff was very attentive and very sweet. A shout out to Andrew and Kobie (spelling on Kobie). They were great at their jobs and were so personable. The food was great and the bar was always hoping. From oysters and champagne on the beach to the rum punch being served beach side, we had a fabulous time.

My husband and I stayed at this resort for our Anniversary. We were very disappointed in the customer service. They gave us a room that did not lock. Only the first door locked not the second door that’s used to enter the room. We had to push furniture up against the door to feel safe the first night because no one could help us. The next day we communicated with them about our door not locking so they assured us it would be fixed. My husband and I went back to our room after being provided a different key. The door was already unlocked so we assumed the key was working. We left back out for awhile and upon entering our room the second door did not lock. We made CS aware and they again told us they had it fixed. Well my husband seen the staff climb over the balcony and went in thru the patio door to unlock the door so we could enter our room. Once again no one was available to fix the lock. Again we had to push furniture up to the door to feel safe. Next issue the room had a smell. It reminded me of a sewer smell. We asked staff if we could change rooms and they told us the resort was sold out. So we was forced to stay in that room with sewer smell. Lastly, we scheduled a massage a week before arrival. When we went down to the spa no one was there. We waited there almost an hour an no one showed. They finally told us the lady who works in the spa called in. I asked why weren’t notified instead of wasting an hour of our day sitting here. No one had an answer for us. Our Anniversary trip was ruined. Not to mention the amount of money spent to get to Barbados

Beautiful, small resort. Great for people who don't like crowds (like me). It's on the beach, has a pool right there as well, a pool bar, several dining choices, and a very attentive staff who clearly want you to enjoy your stay! Lovely room (I heard they're going to remodel or update in a couple months)... and it's in Barbados! What more could you want??😊😊

Nice boutique hotel staff we're brilliant. Limited number of sun loungers if the tide is in as the hotel does not have a large beach front. Only downside is they don't have a reception desk or area. You have to go looking for an "ambassador" and our check in was sat on a sofa in dim light had to use our phone to complete the paperwork!!

It's not a bad base for exploring the Barbados island, buffet food is very samey, the al carte is excellent, don't understand the big gulf between the 2 menus, staff are very attentive and polite. Half the activities that's stated on the website are not working, gym, yoga etc- it stated that there was an Italian which wasn't open until the Sunday after we arrived and there is only 1 restaurant, you would expect more choice for the cost of the holiday. We had a trip to another elements owned hotel- turtle beach, there was a lot more facilities and foodaries. We just feel that this hotel is very tired and needs alit of work doing to it. The one advantage of coming to Barbados is that we found other hotels and rental properties that worked out cheaper than using a hotel service. I'm not a negative person and the staff are great but if you paying a lot of money for this type of holiday you need to have better quality. This was a treat for my partner that has a bad year after being diagnosed with cancer and having to major operations and after treatment to remove further cancer, which we felt a bit let down, well done staff👏👏 I almost forgot, towels on the sunbeds, a bit of an issue??
