Overall it was a great stay. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service for the reserved dinner time slots were alittle too slow, and portions were too small. We should have ordered a few items maybe if that is possible. We ended up stopping at the buffet for alittle more food afterwards. The music was always great to listen to in the evenings. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge chairs near the bar listening with a drink before and after dinner at the docksider. Disappointed about the seaweed on the beach, but we understand it is seasonal and is constantly coming in. Too bad there is not a better solution rather than the tractors and by hand. Like a net or something quicker. We felt bad for them having to work so hard on that for so long too. Didn’t realize how big of a resort it was and it is all pretty spread out so I could see how anyone older or with disabilities may struggle. It did help to keep us in better shape though.

The food was better than my previous experience at Costa Rica Dreams. They said they have room service but only for an extra fee and only at night. Bottled water was an extra purchase as well. The resort was quiet and definitely not a singles dream which was fine with us. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Atlantic side but could access the Caribbean side by walking 200 yards across the street. The spa was outstanding. I would not pay extra again for the Italian restaurant as it was a little disappointing. The nightly entertainment was fun. The jerk chicken was delicious. Don't be afraid to take a taxi in to town. Overall we were happy and felt very relaxed.

I recently visited st James club with my wife, 18 month old as well as 4 other adults in our party. After reading reviews I was worried about the service but We were greeted by 2 great front desk workers, one being Brianna and the others name started with a D and I know I’ll misspell it. They were great and very helpful. The clubs location is great while we were there it felt like it was empty which was awesome not feeling overcrowded when going to do things. We spent most of our time on the resort enjoying the beach which was great, great clear water and make sure to have piper give you a foot message. I also want to give a special shout out to Deshaun who works in the little store there. She was so helpful and even went to the store to grab diapers for my son as we unfortunately forgot to pack enough so she definitely. While the location was great and we had great encounters with the workers I’ll say the worst part of the trip was how slow it was to get food at all the restaurants . We went to the rainbow garden for dinner one night with a 6:30 reservation. It took 3 and a half hours. The service being so slow at the restaurants made it so by the time you were done eating you didn’t have much time to do other activities. St James needs to invest in making sure that people are receiving fast service even trying to grab a quick snack would take at minimum an hour.

I'm usually not picky person when it comes to all inclusive, but I like all inclusive for the convenience of not doing anything than to relax. The property is beautiful. The beach is clean and the water is amazing. To get a DRINK at the BEACH you have to go to the restaurant and get it yourself. There is no bar, close by, except at the pool area.

I have read most of the reviews and I totally disagree with how people have complained about the staff. I found the staff to be amazing. They are always smiling and very friendly. We recognized Allison a member of the activity staff while visiting St. John’s town and she was so friendly offering to show us around on her own time. Each meal we met the most accommodating staff like Twana and Amie just to name a few. The grounds and views are amazing. You don’t go here for fine dining so leave your palate in Europe. The breakfast is substantial to begin the day. We paid the extra fee to eat at the Italian restaurant at night . You will love Roxanne and the music was enjoyable. I did enjoy the service at Eleven 11. The sunset cruise was fun.

3.5 star This is a beautiful hotel in a refurbished building which doesn't have the proper HVAC. Needs to shut down for a few months and work this out. I booked diamond club and it was overall a decent vacation. The food was good, the alcohol selection was excellent, pool was excellent , beach was excellent. The sports bar does not get you any game you want, they dont even try after you ask.Zero selection of draft beer, its all Long Bay from Antigua which was pretty good. Chairs are easily the most uncomfortable out of 22 resorts i've been to, look great but no chair pads. Staff was great if you treated them nicely, i witnessed some who didn't, if you had an entitled attitude you will be ignorned. I've been to Antigua numerous times, i love the island, would i return, probably not to this resort, i preferred the 3 star Jolly Beach resort over this.

We just spent two weeks at this resort. Overall it was very good considering the high volume of people. The rooms were comfortable and if you had any problems they were quick to come and assist. The food had a great variety of options. The beach and pool area were beautiful with plenty of chairs but you had to get a Chair first thing in the morning or they would be taken up. This is an issue at most resorts unfortunately. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gym was very well equipped with personal trainers there to help if you needed any guidance. Overall very pleased with our stay!

The beach and location were absolutely stunning—soft sand, clear water, and perfect for relaxing or taking long walks. The resort itself was beautiful and had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. For the price and setting, I expected much better quality and variety. If you’re coming mainly for the beach and views, it’s worth it—but if food is a big part of your vacation experience, you might be disappointed.

We have just returned home from 10 nights stay , before going I read some reviews and was quite concerned that I had not made a good choice, but how wrong was I !! it was a excellent stay we all loved it the staff were lovely and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time , the food was good drinks on demand, room clean and bar always stocked daily and a daily call to check all was ok air con was working fine beach always clean I just can’t understand some of the complaints !! I do agree that diamond club not worth extra from what I seen. Cafe / coffee place was first class from time it opened 6.30am till late staff lovely clean fully stocked so you could take a snack away or eat in excellent Thank you to the whole resort staff for a fantastic holiday .👍

Just visited March 22/29 Love the blue sandy beaches. During my stay I would of like to see a much wider range of food at the buffet. Plus the food was more room temperature than hot. I enjoyed the food at the stake house, the staff was extremely on point. Night entertainment was just okay. Did a day trip to Devils bridge, Forth James and through the capital St John. Drove through the island which was beautiful❤️ Overall I would visit again.

This is the first all inclusive resort I’ve been too and it was worth every penny! My husband and I had an excellent trip. The room had an amazing view and we sat on the deck every night. The bbq restaurant was a favorite spot to eat. The water was perfect and the pools were always clean. Amazing staff, so kind and professional. I would absolutely come back!

Beach is absolutely beautiful. Rooms are very nice, very clean and well kept, just yards from the beach. Food is by far the best I've ever had in all-inclusive resort. Staff is incredibly nice andthere to help everywhere you turn. I highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Pineapple Beach Club in January 2025. We stayed waterfront and looked out at the whole resort every morning from our balcony and watched the sun come up. The breeze was beautiful and the beach so calming. A short walk to the coffee shop to see Wallace and the lovely baristas in the morning was certainly a treat.There were plenty of towels and many places to sit. Whether you want ocean front or poolside you will find a perfect spot to just relax. The Topaz buffet restaurant was great with lots of variety. The staff there are warm and friendly especially Nicole and Arlene. The bar had great service and lots of tropical treats to choose from. The whole vibe was relaxed. Our week was far too short. Next year we will stay longer. I wish i could remember all the staff names as we found them all to be wonderful.Take a bow Pineapple, you really deserve it.

Best sand on the island compared to the west, staff are awesome, lots to do if u want. A little out way, making it quiet. Driving to here is a challenge. 4 wheel is highly recommended if u must rent; otherwise, Rental is not recommended. Let someone else stress about people and potholes.

We only had a day pass to this resort so I can't comment on the rooms. The beach had a lack of shade so we found ourselves shuffling our chair to try and stay under the palm trees. Plus the water was pretty rough the day we visited and not all the floating loungers were in water shallow enough for us to walk up to. I thought the tortoise enclosure was a delightful suprise! Underwhelmed by the lunch main course options but enjoyed Cafe 1761! Dinner was astounding in the Italian Restaurant!

We were looking to find a budgeted girls trip and found Jolly Beach Resort & Spa with American Express travel. We read the reviews prior to going and knew that we would not be vacationing at a 4 star resort. The rooms were small and the twin beds were very close to each other. The bathroom sliding door continually came off of the tracks when opening and closing. The air conditioning was very good. The view of the ocean from the room was outstanding. The room would have been 4 star if it was updated, the view of the ocean and sunset was awesome. Initially, the staff were not very friendly. June became our favorite bartender. We loved the singing lady at the buffet breakfast. Many of the staff did not seem excited and lacked energy, but some did warm up after we were there a few days. Typically at a resort or hotel, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. I have seen other reviews where the staff was described as rude, and unfortunately it is true. Here, they could use training on delighting the customer. The Pizza Factory restaurant was very nice and elevated the dining experience with a very nice wait staff and menu. However, dining at the Pizza Factory requires you make a reservation at 7:30am in person. That isn't too terrible because there is coffee and tea available while you wait. The beach was amazing! There were ample chairs and umbrellas so there was no need to reserve early in the morning. The chairs and umbrellas could stand to be replaced as many were worn. Alex the massage therapist on the beach was fantastic, definitely a bonus that I did not expect. His reflexology is amazing. I think I would try a 4 star resort on my next visit to Antigua for total relaxation and service. I loved Jolly Beach, but would like to experience a 4 or 5 level resort.

Let's be honest that this place is great value for food, drinks, pool and beach. But it ends there. Our room leaked every time it rained and even on the first night. We did not complain. But when we PAID for the room be cleaned, we were accosted by the housekeeper in the hallway about keeping our room clean. Actually yelled at us. The staff is so rude aside from a couple individuals. We tipped every drink and meal but stopped that as the staff was still rude. My advice, go visit but do not be nice. If something is wrong, make a complaint and hold them accountable. We spent one night contemplating moving to another hotel. That is the last thing anyone should be doing on their vacation.

After reading some reviews, we were a bit concerned that we had booked this resort. But after having spent our March break there,it was absolutely a great decision. Honestly can't understand a lot of the negative reviews. Some people are just too picky apparently. Yes the rooms are a bit underwhelming, but we didn't spend a lot of waking time in the room, the AC worked well and the bed was quite comfortable. We also had plenty of hot water for showering and a great view of the beach. The beach was one of, if not the best we've visited yet. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially Margaret and the sweetheart bartender at the restaurant bar(apologies for forgetting her name). The resort grounds were great. The buffet and pool grill were good, but the a la carte was excellent. Drinks were good as well especially the old fashioned rum punch. We will definitely be making a return visit to Antigua and Jolly Beach Resort.

Read so many reviews on this place, we came with an open mind and lower expectations. Our trip was in March, not a lot of people here to my surprise. The pool was great, pool bar was sufficient. The grill behind the pool bar was great, the chicken wraps are delicious. Not too many food selections other than the buffet, unless you explore outside of the resort. No real issues at the buffet, but check out the hours of operation and plan accordingly. Room was sufficient, king bed, ac worked great. Yes it’s a bit dated but comfortable. We have been to Cancun numerous times, no comparison, but we were not expecting such. We recommend going to Shirley heights for their bbq on Sunday evening, lots of people, great food and great views. We also booked power snorkeling, book it! We would consider this an average place, great beaches, views etc. Most of the activities are elsewhere and require a 45 minute drive. It’s a great place to relax at the pool and the beach. Would we stay here again, probably not. Probably closer to 3.5 stars than 4.

This resort is a such diamond. Honestly the beach alone would sell it but everything the food, drinks and hospitality are 11/10 I came on my honeymoon here for 2 weeks and me and wife had the best time ever. All the staff are so helpful and attentive. My wife lost her apple watch in the bedsheets we told front of house and they managed to dig it out of the mountains of laundry they do daily. Staff members like Clinton really went the extra mile to make us feel happy and cared for at the resort. Rebecca at the tours desk was so funny but hardworking and efficient she even came and found us on the beach to let us know our tour was booked. The pizza factory is so nice too my advice is book it as much as possible as the drinks are better than the normal stuff at the bar. The resort is very old so don't go expecting 5* facilities your plug socket might not work in your room but if you view it as a place to just sleep and not spend the whole day you'll be fine. I would definitely come back in the future. As long as you know what you're getting you won't be disappointed

We spent a week at Hawksbill Resort and couldn't be happier with our stay! The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The food was delicious and plentiful and a couple bars around the resort for cocktails! The staff were truly exceptional—so warm, welcoming, and always going above and beyond to make sure guests were enjoying themselves. The resort itself is perfect for a relaxing getaway. It's peaceful and quiet, with four beautiful beaches to choose from and a lovely pool area. We especially appreciated the shuttle services to St. John’s and Shirley Heights—great for a quick outing without any hassle. One of the highlights was how accommodating the staff were on our departure day. With a late-night flight, we were allowed to enjoy the facilities all day and were even given a room to shower and freshen up before heading to the airport. Such thoughtful service really made a difference.

What a fabulous low key, great value all inclusive resort. Don’t expect high end decor or 8 different restaurants. But great service at the 3 different places for lunch and then a great choice of entrees and items at main restaurant for lunch and dinner. 4 different beaches, main beach is Sea Grapes beach. 1 pool and 2 bar areas. Always book direct with hotel so airport transfers included. Royal Palm rooms were great, no tvs there but other side of resort the rooms had tvs. Don’t need them since almost all rooms are either ocean view or ocean front! Lots of walking due to this resort having lots of beach front property. Entertainment ends by 10p. Bar closes at 12M. Take advantage of taxi excursions sign up sheets by tour desk! Tip your staff, they are wonderful! Eden beach is far south end and a nude beach. Lots of goats and a few pigs visit that beach too!

We are currently at Hawksbill for a few more days…. I am struggling to understand the high praise for service that so many people comment on. My wife and I have found the service to be Poor at best, there are staff that walk around without a care in the world, my mum used to say “they look like they’re chewing a wasp!” There are several staff who will not crack a smile, they struggle to acknowledge your existence… we are quiet reserved people and it would appear unless you have a loud mouth, you’re more or less ignored! As for drinks… we have ordered multiple different types of cocktails and they all arrive looking and tasting the same! Food is average at best, some days are better than others, we paid for the beach side dinner for a special occasion, apart from a lovely setting and the only exception regarding service which was excellent, save your money, the food was average and massively over seasoned, we couldn’t eat 2 dishes due to the excess salt! Although the server brought us plate with a sparkler on it wishing us a happy anniversary, the dessert was 3 small pieces of cake, No thought. No imagination and certainly no flavour! The sea grapes bar area has to be the worst service, it feels like they blatantly ignore you! £450 per night is not cheap, I realise there are less expensive and substantially more expensive resorts but for us this was a special occasion and we pushed the boat out… it is fair to say the only thing this resort has going for it is the location… we will not return and I would advise and caution people to read all reviews across all platforms to get a good overall picture before splashing your hard earned money!

Wife and I spent 11 days at this beautiful resort. The staff is fantastic and do a wonderful job. Food is varied and well prepared. You certainly get enough to eat and drink! Grounds are well looked after and the infinity pool is gorgeous. The 4 beaches and views are spectacular. The beach bungalows are private and quiet. If you want peaceful serenity it's found here.

Very impressed! We’ve travelled extensively in the Caribbean both for work and pleasure and can thoroughly recommend Hawksbill Resort. We are well used to laid back and sometimes rude Caribbean service and ‘island time’… none whatsoever of that here. The staff were super friendly, attentive and polite, and some had great humor. They really made our trip special. The all inclusive food genuinely exceeded expectations with varied decent quality options and at least 1-2 local offerings on the buffet which was nice to see. The beaches were stunning and whole resort very quiet and tucked away. Because a lot of accommodation is small villas the resort never felt busy or crowded and there was always excellent availability of watersports equipment, sun loungers etc, even with it being peak season. The general property was obviously developed a while ago but has been nicely upgraded in parts, the new infinity pool is beautiful and although the older rooms were a touch sparse, they had nice showers and were tastefully decorated with flowers upon arrival. Overall a wonderful stay and excellent value.

We had a great stay here in 2022 during Covid. The rooms are clean and well appointed, with ocean views. The food was authentic and very good, if you have ever had the chance to taste Goat Water you will know how great the local cuisine is in Antigua... Fantastic flavours. We made a comment to one of our servers that the music being played at the resort was American, not Antiguan in any way and that we appreciate local culture and music when we visit other countries. The next morning the GM of the resort sat down with us and asked us about our thoughts in this regard. The next morning at breakfast they were playing Soca (a local favourite music) and reggae (tourist could relate to). Good for them for doing their best... And good for us for enjoying this great experience at this resort. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone. Robert Barrett was on site personally managing everything, good on him. We appreciated it all.

This is NOT a 4 star resort. The rooms are maybe a 3 star. I usually only stay at 4 star or higher. The food was a 3 star. There’s no room service everyday. It’s only every other day. There’s no drink or food service at the pools or on the beach. Good place on a budget. The staff were all amazing. There’s information about the property and the restaurants that we had to learn about after we arrived. If you don’t ask, they don’t share. We got the ocean front rooms near the main pool. That’s your best option, so that you are close to the best part of the property. The property is 30 acres big. Very disappointing. Im from New York City. So I know good food. I hate to leave a bad review.

We stayed for 6 nights in March and really loved our time! The resort is very well kept and clean. Beds are very comfortable and bathroom is roomy. Rika and Risa on the service team are fantastic and we had so much fun getting to know them! Leon at the main bar is great and makes the best drinks! The tour desk is very helpful and helped us book 3 excursions including Shirley heights, the Calypsos cat, and a private fishing tour! The restaurants are wonderful. We ate at every option, and were very impressed with the food. We wish there were more variety in breakfast options but other than that we enjoyed the food! We will for sure be returning!

The views all over the resort are amazing, the rooms have good space, and the food is generally very tasty. The service wait times are the biggest area that needs improvement; it can take a very long time to get food at the restaurants, and bar lines can be very long. People are very nice, but more staff would be good, because the existing ones are spread pretty thin. I'd come back here.

Rooms are: very roomy, beautifully finished, bathroom is large, views are absolutely incredible in the Waterfront King Suites! Service is so friendly, kind and funn! Location is Amazing! Only a short 30 minute drive from the airport ; different elevations on the resort property so there's so many different views you get ; 2 beaches with so many different activities for options to do! Numerous amount of restaurants and bars, drinks and food delicious! Everything at Resort is beautifully updated with a beach paradise look and very clean! Highly recommend!🧡

Our experience at the Royalton Chic Antigua could not have been any better! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such care and attention. Our butlers, Errolson and Kemoy, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed at any given time. They listened to all our preferences and made sure we never had to ask for the same thing twice—true professionals with a personal touch. Raeleen, the housekeeper who kept our bungalow spotless, always greeted us with a warm smile. It was such a lovely way to start each day! Dining at the Hunter Steakhouse was a highlight thanks to Theresa, Sanesha, and Chef Jason, who made sure every meal was perfect and up to the highest standards. Even in the evenings, the service remained exceptional. Sabrina at Epic Bar and the ever-smiling Hannah at Taboo created such a fun and relaxing atmosphere, handling even the busiest crowds with ease and grace. And I can’t end this review without a special shoutout to the amazing food truck chef—she made the best jerk chicken I’ve ever tasted! Despite the heat, she served every guest with kindness and a smile. While the accommodations were top-notch, it was truly the people who made this trip unforgettable. We’re already thinking about coming back to celebrate my husband’s next birthday at this incredible resort!

Royalton Chic has an amazing beach to be enjoyed by everyone. Pools and Diamond club with vutlers absolutely elevates the experience. You will always find something to eat that you like. Overall a la cartes are good as well as the buffet. Throughout our 10 day stay all seemed to get better. However food needs to be elevated and improved on. Service overall as great ut there is staff with attitude that underwhelming the experience for this property. Our butlers Maxwell and Terrel were outstanding and went over the top to make our stay the best. Their commitment to service and excellence was outstanding. They set the bar here for service and are under utilized as butlers and their talent far exceeds their current position.

First thing was we had to wait over 4 hours for our room, we did not get a a room in the Diamond Club building which we paid for, we got a room over looking a pool and food truck in building 5. There were no complimentary robes at all and no turn down service, food was mediocre, staff was very nice but only used the “what’s app” for communication. We couldn’t get that which made it difficult to communicate with our butlers. Always had to find them..Loved the locals, very nice and fun…Hotel is only 12 months old and looks 10 yrs. Cracks in foundations and tiles falling off pools, Falling apart. They slapped up this resort😩 Only 1 hot tub for both Diamonds club and regular guests. Diamond club bar was never fully stocked with fruit flies on buffet that was definitely not fresh daily. A lot of amenities were broken. Had to run hot water 20 minutes before getting hot first 5 days. Royal Spa heaters were broken day of our appointment for Hydro therapy, Sewage processing building was in center of the resort in the back. Could smell it. Loud beat box music consistently the same till late hours every night. Rude visitors!! Got seriously ill with a virus 6th day there. Didn’t stock fridge every day. Room service was terrible. They couldn’t get an order correct. Do not recommend this resort. 👎✊

If you're visiting Royalton Chic Antigua I highly recommend joining the Aqua Fit sessions—it's the perfect way to start your day feeling refreshed and energized. Special shout out to Daniel for going above and beyond his fitness role assisting my friend and I to contact locals to secure our ferry trip to Barbuda which we were attempting to complete for 5 days, without luck. He was very personable and we appreciate the extra effort he took to engage us.

I just left the Royalton CHIC after visiting with family and friends. Even though they have been open for almost a year, there are still some things that need to be ironed out, starting with the food supply. One of the most popular items is the jerk chicken from the pool food truck, which NEVER seems to have enough to serve everyone and runs out daily. Also, dinner and breakfast items in Elements tended to run out quickly, too. These are things that management, operations, and logistics should honestly take a look at and fix. Being that Royalton is a Marriott brand, the food shortages don't match up with what is billed as a "luxury" property. With all that being said, the staff was WONDERFUL and tried to be as accommodating as possible. They always had smiling faced and great personalities. The main pool was loud/fun when there were activities planned. By 6pm the music dies down, and the pool has very few people around. The Diamond Club pool is generally quiet all day. There is nightly entertainment in another area of the resort. The nightclub is very small but fun. The DJ tends to pick up the vibe of who is in attendance and just flow with them. As a Diamond Club member, my stay was made extra enjoyable by my butlers, Maxwell H. and Jay (Terrol). I honestly can not say enough good things about these two gentlemen. They were quick, intuitive and genuinely nice people. They checked on me several times a day to make sure things were going okay. They assisted on several group dinner reservations and everyone in my group enjoyed their constant supportive care too. They truly made the trip more unique and memorable.

I have to believe the people raving about this “resort” aren’t Americans. The Brits on holiday seemed quite happy, but there is no way this is a 4 star hotel. Pros: the people who work there are friendly, it’s pretty at first glance (shabby up close, though!), the sand on the beach there is powder soft and the room was decent. That’s it. The beach is tiny and never any free lounges, the pools are small and cold, service is slow if you get any to begin with, and the activities desk was no help in steering us in the right direction. My local taxi driver was the best source of information. The bath towels were thin and rough, though the pool towels were a bit better. The food is fair, at best, and limited menus make it hard to stay on property. They charged $7 US for a glass of Coke! Whatever you do, don’t waste your money on the all inclusive plan, that’s for sure! There was no value for the money we paid and I’m extremely disappointed at what we got in exchange for the hefty bill. I expected some luxury, attentive service, and the feel of a good resort. This felt more like a shabby hotel that had seen better days.

I have been in Blue Waters for 10 days with my family and it is a beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff. Plenty of space in every single swimming pool, you can always find a deck chair available no matter what time of the day. The Penthouse has a beautiful view and you get your private swimming pool to share with only a few rooms but it was always empty. The manager, Nicole, was very professional and always very attentive, definitely we will be back

Highly recommended Blue Water, we had the best stay here. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful, they had thought of all the little things including fruit sticks and ice lollies as you were sat around the pool and beach. The food was amazing, we did the all-inclusive offer and thought it was great value for money. The rooms and facilities are lovely and so relaxing. We hope to come back very soon!

Not only is the position of the hotel amazing and has great facilities BUT it is their wonderful staff that make this place SO VERY different and so special. Many of the staff have been their decades and often a couple of generations are working there. ALL of the staff, from gardeners to maintenance crew to the security lady on the gate ...are warm smiley people and super super friendly. The restaurant staff are some of the best in the world! You feel you have truly arrived back home with family when you arrive at Blue Waters. This feeling comes from the hearts' of the staff. What is interesting is that in this atmosphere of friendliness and joy, not only do you relax but the guests follow the lead of the staff and they become more smiley, warm and friendly with each other. Friendships that last, are made here. This adds up to an environment that is second to none! You totally relax here and enjoy the happy vibe and all that is on offer. We have visited 4 times now and it is still one of the best places to be in the world. It has things like yoga pavillions, Gym, Spa, watersports, adult only pool, 3 different restaurants etc....SUPERB chef.... but it has something magic too that other places do not have and find hard to replicate.. GENUINE, CARING, FRIENDLY, HAPPY, WARM, NICE and "exceptionally good at their job" staff! The Cove restaraunt is worth every penny it is the best magical venue for dinner. It has SUPERB staff. Thank you Sara and team for making everyone's evening so very special. Lucinda never retire, Rachel your empathy is so appreciated, young Niyana you are training in the best place. Brian 1 and Brian 2 and Sheddy and Orie we thank you all. My husband had to be away one evening and all the team took such extra special care of me a the Cove. They even found our favourite Greywacke wine for us. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I can not thank you enough. For the first time this year we thought we would go to another resort ( the Relais Chateaux name encouraged us) for the 2nd week of our holiday. Believing we should just "look around the corner" as we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. This was a big mistake. We have regretted the decision to not stay for 2 weeks at BW. The only lovely, friendly, genuinely warm member of staff we found in the new hotel was....a young waiter who also works at BW! In truth as i write this, i have not unpacked and am thinking of forgetting the money spent and asking BW if they can find a room for us! Thank you BW team!

Stayed here and at Bluewaters, and honestly, there’s not much in it—they both have their strengths. If the beach is what matters most, this one wins hands down. The location is incredible, right on a stunning stretch of sand that really makes the stay. That said, if you’re after charm and atmosphere, Bluewaters just edges it. This hotel has loads of potential, but it could do with some refurbishment. But the best bit? Afternoon tea served to you on the beach. It honestly doesn’t get much better. A real standout experience that sets this place apart.

From the moment we arrived, we knew that we were among a team who love what they do.Greeted at the airport & driven to the resort,everything was organised in advance.The process of going through customs & baggage claim, chaperoned by a Carlisle Bay representative was seamless. We were greeted on our evening arrival by Kevonne, a lovely young man who got us set up in our room & made sure that nothing distracted us from our first dinner reservation. We settled quickly in our beautiful beach access suite & were escorted to Indigo to meet Kareem, a wonderful host & Michael, the sommelier, who was always smiling, gracious & fully engaged with our needs. The menus across the restaurants; Indigo, East & Ottimo, give you a broad selection with something for everyone. From your favourite salads, pasta dishes, pizzas, sushi, steaks & burgers, our only concern was not to consume too much. We enjoyed an all-inclusive stay & would highly recommend it. At Indigo, we fell in love with the staff. After a mere 48hrs, they were on first name terms w/ our entire family & Georgier, Leanne, Shantez, Jerica & Audicia, really did represent a highlight of our dining experience. Nothing was too much & the service could be described as nothing short of exceptional. Somewhat awkward subject is how much service represents too much or too little?! On an all-inclusive experience, you want to be afforded enough attention so as not to feel neglected, but you also don't want to be bothered unnecessarily. At CB, we always felt that the staff were attentive at all the right times. They were discrete & always sensitive to our 'private' conversations or family moments. We should note that our beach service from Len, encapsulated this perfectly. He was always there when we needed something, never hovering, never missing for long periods. As a team, the staff understood our needs perfectly, and as much credit as the individuals deserve in this regard, the management are also worthy of immense praise & credit. East is the Asian dining experience & the choice & quality is again exceptional. Michelle was a wonderful host, Jerica & Samaya became friends who made us excited about going back. Michael, the sommelier, seemed to be everywhere, bringing a smile to our experience and even encouraging our little boy, to eat his broccoli. Which he did. The staff have left an indelible impression on my family & I that will last as long as memories of the beautiful geography of the Bay itself. On that note, the waters are calm & clear. In march, the weather was perfect & the occasional rain worked wonders to cleanse the air & give you a break from the otherwise perfect heat & slight humidity. The tennis facilities & tennis coaching are excellent, no matter your skill level. There are paid lessons & complimentary group clinics. The kid's club (for 3+), is an incredible resource. Leaving your kids can be tricky, but the staff at kid's club were just as special to our children as the other staff elsewhere had become to our entire family. The Jetty Grill is also an incredible dining experience & though it is adult only, there's a weekly bbq w/ a live calypso band where children are welcome.The water sports team are outstanding.There are paid experiences, but canoes, pedalos, snorkels & masks are readily available for free on a first come first served basis. There are so many members of the team that I have failed to mention, but one we cannot forget is Vida from housekeeping.She was able to restore our suite to the check-in condition. Not just a daily turn down service, but incredible pride & attention to detail. Every evening, she made the idea of returning back to the suite a complete pleasure. We have had a beautiful experience at CB & as noted,aside from the magical culture & geography of Antigua, CB have done an exceptional job of bottling all of these elements for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. One we hope, as our family grows, we will be able to experience as many times as we possibly can.

It’s not that often you find a hotel that has an incredible culture, Carlisle Bay certainly has this at its highest level. We had the pleasure of coming with our little boy and he was treated like a prince from the moment we arrived. The staff at Carlisle Bay went above and beyond to ensure our family felt welcome and cared for. Ganja is incredible and is definitely a rising star for the hotel. From the warm greetings at check-in to the thoughtful touches in our room, every detail was meticulously planned to make our stay unforgettable. What truly sets Carlisle Bay apart is the genuine kindness and attentiveness of the team. They remembered our names, our preferences, and even our little boy’s favorite snacks. The kids' club was a dream come true for him, and it gave us the chance to relax and enjoy the stunning beachfront and luxurious spa and the gym. The dining experience was exceptional, with a variety of options that catered to every taste, including our picky eater. The fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the chefs' creativity made every meal a delight. Note: please attend the Thursday buffet, world class. When you try the corn try not to cry with happiness as it’s something else! Carlisle Bay isn’t just a hotel; it’s a sanctuary where you can truly unwind and create lasting memories. This is a wonderful location in Antigua, specifically great for families with young children. Our almost 2-year-old had a blast, which is our main barometer for a successful vacation these days. The Kids Club is great, with lots of toys (especially cars) in an air-conditioned setting, as well as a small splash pool, a pretty playground on sand, plastic scooters and all sorts of games and classes, with a very sweet group of caretakers who are lovely with the kids. The resort itself is situated on a paradisiacal beach with lazy water lapping in and out, perfect for floating, swimming, daytime snoozes with a paperback and solid rest at night. Some further breakdown of our experience: Pros - beautiful location with oceanfront patio suites, calm waters and a walkable beach; friendly atmosphere and well-kept grounds with lush plants, pathways and a koi pool; genuine, welcoming and helpful staff dedicated to customer service, who always stop to talk and joke with children; the suites are large and they are very well-cleaned each day, enjoy the small touches like a little water pool for dipping feet, free dried fruits, a fancy coffee machine; excellent breakfast with a view at Indigo and a warm breeze (daily smoothies, omelette and avocado toast were the go-tos); free kids’ pizzas at their Italian restaurant during the day; the Asian restaurant is the best choice for dinner, as dinner at Indigo left a little to be desired; afternoon iced tea with tiny sandwiches and cookies; a solid gym with a second floor setting and new equipment. We didn’t try the spa but it looked sleek and restful. Cons: bit of a drive from the airport (40 minutes) but worth the ride; it is expensive and the food is overpriced, I’m talking New York City+ expensive for most of the menu items, so that is something to consider. Likely the case at most upscale resorts though. The room, bathroom and bed are nice, but don’t expect St. Barth’s glitz or anything - I personally enjoy the more minimalist white-walled style. The outstanding location, picture-perfect beach, kids club, unique perks, and truly wonderful staff are the reasons to choose this resort.

Foremost, the staff is great: knowledgeable, friendly and will go that "extra mile" to assist you. The beach is beautiful; chaise lounges and towels for all, but get out there early if you want chairs near to your room location. Bartenders can pretty well concoct anything you want with a few limitations. A few top drawer liquors choices are charged plenty extra to have even if you are on full inclusive room/meal plan. I wish you well with the overly fancy coffeemaker in the room; it took me a few days to get hang of this gizmo. Good massage in the spa; fair job on the shampoo and blow dry (expensive at $70 plus almost 25% in taxes and service charges). We have been to Antigua 6 X now, but this is the first experience at Carlisle Bay.

Galley Bay Cottages was a cozy and peace spot. We enjoyed having a kitchen and balcony. The host was incredibly helpful. We highly recommend these off-the-beaten path cottages.

Beautiful Caribbean style cottages with a breathtaking sea view and constant gentle breeze. The host is kind and helpful. Bath toiletries and kitchen items are provided. If you're cooking, you only need to purchase food ingredients, as a variety of seasonings, olive oil, vinegar, tea, coffee, even paper towels are on hand. The host's attention to detail is phenomenal. Be prepared to walk up a steep driveway and several steps, but that's just the added benefit of exercise. A recommended stay!

Back again once again at the Cottages, I believe for our 5th visit to the beautiful island of Antigua. Always a consistent experience; a well-kept and -appointed, somewhat secluded spot. The beauty of the location is it's only minutes from the port area of St. John's, so you're not far from things you need. Car optional if you don't mind a bit of walking and/or using public transit. Galley Bay Beach was red-flagged every day this time, and there are no lounge chairs to use, so hint: bring a hammock! Marco takes great care of us time and time again.

A total dive where few things work, noisy as can be, biting bugs in mattress I'm still trying to recover from. Very run down cottage (we stayed at Spice). Think Marco is planning on selling it to some big developer, so does not give a hoot about this place. Seriously, look elsewhere. Think the good reviews are all paid. My review is real.

We come to these cottages year after year. The beach is a 5 minute hike but I'd rather sit in my private tropical paradise anyway. Well appointed kitchen so we cook our own breakfasts and some dinners. We have stayed in them all. Spice this year. Propane bbq for grilling. Decent grocery store 10 minutes away so you don't have to drive in the hell of St. John's!

We were at Hammock Cove for 5 nights and it was a wonderful experience! We traveled with another couple and requested villas next to each other which they were able to do. If you can get a villa on the ocean-facing side the view is incredible! All of the staff were friendly and happy to help or just say hello. Our "ambassador" even carried patio chairs over to our villa so the 4 of us could sit together. Service, however, was slow. Be prepared to wait 20-60min for drink or food orders on the beach or to the room. The ambassador system in general is clunky—there were several miscommunications and it was unclear what could/should be done via ambassador and should be done at the front desk. Food: Room service dinner was pretty underwhelming (calamari should never be in stick form) but Lighthouse dinners were excellent and they even made special menu items for our vegan friend. The beach BBQ was also really enjoyable, grilled lobster on a Caribbean beach is hard to beat. Activities/Excursions: The Pink Panther tour was a wonderful way to see the island with a knowledgable guide. The Calypso Cat boat was an unforgettable experience. We swam alongside sea turtles and and the crew were so fun to be with. We got to see a couple other resorts and we appreciated how small Hammock Cove was in comparison, much quieter and more walkable. Also being walking distance from Devil's Bridge was a bonus. The villa itself was incredible—bed was comfortable, blackout shades were good to have as we faced East, the mini bar was well-stocked and kept us very happy. We'd love to come back!

Excellent honeymoon resort! Exactly as it is portrayed on the website. Quiet (no loud partying going on), with private villas. 5 star service. Food was very satisfying. Plenty of activities available if you need them, and also a great place to just relax in your villa if that's what you need. We used Honeymoon Inc as our travel agent and I am so glad they lead us here.

5 stars across the board!! If you’re looking for a quiet, boutique style hotel, with luxury service and amenities… this is the hotel for you! This was my husband and my first experience at an all inclusive hotel and we were thoroughly surprised by the experience offered at hammock cove. We stayed at Verandah a few days prior to Hammock cove and the experience was vastly different. Hammock cove prides themselves on service which you can tell immediately based on how friendly ALL of the staff is. They are constantly checking in on each guest to ensure they are satisfied and comfortable. Having your own concierge is really wonderful. Just to have someone who is always available to help you book a dinner, spa service, or order in room dining is so lovely. We stayed in a waterfront villa and it was exceptional! Huge bathrooms, fully stocked mini bar, private infinity pool, all around so lovely. My husband and I would spend our morning at the gym, get breakfast, then relax at the beach and end our afternoon in the private pool. This hotel is the pinnacle of RELAXATION. The food is wonderful! Breakfast service at the main restaurant was great, tons of healthy options. Lunch on the beach was a bit small and limited, but you could always head to the main restaurant for more options. For dinner you had three restaurants to choose from - the main restaurant, the steakhouse, and the Michelin inspired lighthouse restaurant. All meals we shared here were delightful! They host different small events at the hotel each day like a beach bbq or cooking class to keep guests engaged. Don’t skip out on the spa services! I am pregnant and couldn’t participate in many of the excursions that the hotel offered, but my prenatal massage was INCREDIBLE and so relaxing. Overall, it’s obvious we loved our stay here and we cannot wait to come back!

Hands down the most amazing food of any resort we’ve been to. Every person that works there were simply outstanding. The chef is very personable and will accommodate most requests, though the options are already fantastic. Troy, the Restaurant manager is professional, knowledgeable and funny. This resort is a must do if going to Antigua. Our Ambassador Leon, treated us as if we were the most important guests. The beach food and service was exceptional. Raw oysters, Rock lobster, shrimp, octopus, Calamari, Italian Sausage were just a few options.
