  • Day 4 Enjoy your morning in Tokyo then get set to set sail aboard the Sapphire Princess from Yokohama.

Seating available Most bullet trains have three types of seats. These are non-reserved seats, reserved seats and Green Car (first class) seats. Bullet trains operating on certain lines also offer Gran Class (premier) seats.

Bullet Train etiquette You’ll be pleased to know that eating and drinking is allowed on bullet trains, with many passengers buying “eki-ben” (pre-packed lunch boxes) from stations to eat while they travel. .
Etiquette in Japan In Japan, etiquette is rooted in deep respect for others, group harmony, and cleanliness. Key practices include removing your shoes indoors, being quiet on public transport, respecting queues.
