Senior Product Manager / Owner (Web)



Who we are looking for:

Own and optimise SHG’s website experiences across multiple specialist travel brands. This role ensures that our web platforms deliver high-performing customer journeys, consistent UX patterns, strong conversion, and a modern, scalable architecture. The Website Product Manager/Product Owner leads discovery, experimentation, delivery and continuous improvement across the core search, browse, product pages, booking flows and self-service features.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing development of a unified, modernised website experience that aligns to SHG’s broader digital transformation.
  • Ownership of the website product roadmap covering UX improvements, platform upgrades, new features and technical enhancements across core journeys.
  • Measurable uplift in website conversion rate across key journeys (search, browse, PDP, booking flow).
  • Improved performance, speed, reliability and accessibility scores.
  • Creation of clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria that drive efficient delivery.
  • Development and adoption of self-service tools (e.g., manage booking, amendments, documentation).
  • Support CRO and experimentation strategy, delivering incremental gains.
  • Delivery of high-quality, customer-centric features on time and aligned to engineering capacity.
  • Strong collaboration with UX, engineering, brand, content, CRO and marketing teams.
  • Embed Agile product development lifecycle principles and processes (PDLC).

Experience:


Industry Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience working within travel, hospitality, OTA or e-commerce sectors with complex search/browse/booking journeys.
  • Familiarity with multi-brand or multi-market website environments.
  • Exposure to product and content models for travel products (accommodation, flights, packages, tours, ancillaries).

Digital Product & UX Experience

  • End-to-end ownership of key website journeys, ideally including search, product detail pages (PDP), booking flows, and customer self-service.
  • Hands-on experience with design systems, reusable components and scalable front-end architectures.
  • Proven ability to partner with UX teams to create accessible, user-centred digital experiences.
  • Experience working with modern CMS platforms and headless or component-based web architectures.
  • Understanding of API integrations, data dependencies, caching strategies and performance optimisation.
  • Experience collaborating with front-end and back-end engineering teams in Agile environments.

Data & Insight Experience

  • Hands-on experience with web analytics platforms (e.g. GA4, Hotjar, PowerBI).
  • Experience creating hypotheses, analysing session data and interpreting behavioural insights.
  • Familiarity with benchmarking performance metrics such as Core Web Vitals, load times, and search/browse efficacy.
  • Experience with SEO fundamentals, schema markup or technical SEO considerations.

Commercial & Brand Experience

  • Experience balancing brand expression with conversion performance in a multi-brand setting.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with brand, marketing and CRM teams to deliver consistent customer journeys.

Ways of Working

  • Experience delivering in Agile squads with UX designers, engineers, analysts and testers.
  • Comfortable owning and prioritising a roadmap with competing business demands.
  • Proven success managing third-party vendors, CMS providers or external agencies.
  • Experience in organisations undergoing digital transformation or platform modernisation is highly desirable.

Skills and Knowledge:


Essential

  • Ability to define a website product vision and associated roadmap/s
  • Knowledge of modern web platform and CMS capabilities
  • Journey mapping and service design
  • Requirements writing, backlog ownership, Agile delivery
  • Web performance metrics and Core Web Vitals
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar, A/B testing platforms)
  • Understanding of API-driven frontends, modular components and design systems
  • Ability to interpret data and form actionable insights
  • Knowledge of technical SEO fundamentals

Desirable

  • Understanding of travel search, browse and booking journeys
  • Experience of adopting AI in product development processes
  • Knowledge of pricing, availability, product structuring and content accuracy
  • Awareness of airline packaging, accommodation data, upsells, ancillaries and merchandising

Qualifications: Education

  • Degree in Digital Product Design, Computer Science, UX/UI, Marketing, E-commerce, Business or similar
  • Postgraduate qualification in Product Management, Digital Experience, Digital Strategy or Ecommerce

Product Management / Agile Certifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO I/II)
  • APM or PMI product/project certifications

This is a Full-time permanent position where you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
