Barbados enjoys a fabulous tropical climate throughout the year, with more than 3,000 hours of annual sunshine, making it a dream come true for anyone seeking a luxury holiday in the Caribbean. The dry season, which runs from mid-December to May, is a very popular time to holiday on the island when there is less rainfall and temperatures average around 30°C. This is a great time to get out and explore incredible natural attractions in this amazing sun-drenched destination. The wet season in Barbados is from July to November, when you are likely to experience occasional showers. These usually happen in the afternoon and, providing you have an umbrella or showerproof jacket to hand, the short-lived downpours can provide welcome relief from the humid weather. The island's hurricane season can start in June and usually ends around October.
