The Must-Dos of Dubai

With so many attractions on offer in the glittering city of Dubai, it can feel almost impossible to narrow down your itinerary to fit into your stay. So, to help you decide we’ve compiled a list of the must-dos that will leave you with magical and perhaps even monumental memories of your holiday in Dubai.

The World’s Tallest Building

Good For: Everyone!

Standing at a phenomenal height of 2,716 feet, the Burj Khalifa commands the attention of anyone visiting the city of superlatives. Embrace the high-life and venture up to one of the observation decks, or for those who prefer solid ground beneath their feet, stand and be amazed by the world’s largest performing fountain that offers daily afternoon and evening shows.

Destination2 Top Tip: If you are planning on purchasing tickets to the Burj Khalifa observation deck, enjoy the views of Dubai below at their best by checking the weather forecast and making sure you pick the clearest day.

Mall of the Emirates

Good For: Keen shoppers and skiers, or a family day out when the heat gets too much.

With over 630 international brands, 2 adjoining hotels, an indoor amusement park and an onsite ski centre with real snow and playpark, the Mall of the Emirates is one of the most extravagant attractions Dubai has to offer. Also home to several ultra-experience VOX cinemas, there’s something for everyone.

Destination2 Top Tip: 23 hotels across the city offer a complimentary shuttle service to the Mall. It’s worth checking if your hotel is one of them.

Good For: Everyone!

Dubai is home to a number of waterparks, all with a different appeal. Three of the most popular are Aquaventure, Wild Wadi and Dreamland Aquapark. Aquaventure is located adjacent to the Atlantis Hotel, on the Jumeirah Palm Island, and boasts a waterpark complete with a private beach. Alternatively, Wild Wadi waterpark has an exciting Arabian folklore theme running throughout and features 30 different rides and slides, as well as offering impressive city views. Larger than both of these waterparks is the Dreamland Aquapark which is situated approximately 1 hour out of the city centre.

Destination2 Top Tip: Not only does Wild Wadi waterpark offer slightly chilled water to keep guests cool in the Dubai heat, if you stay at a Jumeirah hotel you will enjoy unlimited access and shuttle services.

Desert Safari

Good For: Groups, nature lovers and those looking to do ‘something different’

Enjoy a cultural excursion away from the bustling city centre, into a never-ending horizon of rolling red dunes. A desert safari trip will involve dune bashing, camel rides, sand skiing, shisha, a succulent BBQ feast and even an overnight camp, depending on the package you choose.

Top Tip: Choose the overnight package for some unparalleled star gazing opportunities and a truly unique experience.

Skydive Dubai

Good For: Adrenaline junkies and those wanting to tick something off the bucket list!

Freefall at 120mph with an expert tandem diver and enjoy awe-inspiring views of the city skyline that only a very brave few can relate to!

Top Tip: Your dive will be re-scheduled if the weather conditions will not allow it. However. it is always worth checking the forecast before booking.
