What is Malaysia Airlines’ check-in baggage allowance?

If you are travelling on a Malaysia Airlines’ flight as an Economy Class (Basic) passenger, you are allowed to check in 25kg of baggage, while Economy Class (Flex) status permits you 35kg of luggage. Those with a Business Class (Basic) ticket can check in 40kg of baggage, while travellers flying as a Business Class (Flex) passenger have a 50kg allowance. Business Suite passengers are allowed to check in 55kg of luggage.

What is Malaysia Airlines’ cabin bag allowance?

Passengers flying in Economy Class have a cabin baggage allowance of 7kg per person. Those travelling in Business Class can travel with 2 pieces of hand luggage, weighing 7kg per bag, with Business Suite passengers allowed the same.

Is Malaysia Airlines good for children?

Yes, Malaysia Airlines certainly is, especially those aged 12 and below. This age group can join the MH Young Explorers Club, which comes with a variety of wonderful privileges and perks. Membership is completely free and sees little ones treated to a kids’ passport, special in-flight kids’ meals and interactive activity packs. Priority check-in and boarding are other benefits, along with a meet and greet with the pilot and cabin crew. Junior travellers can also enjoy a whole raft of fabulous in-flight entertainment, with television shows, cartoons and children’s movies available non-stop on their own personal flat screen TV. Baggage allowance for children is the same as adults, which means they can pack all the essentials for a fabulous holiday.

What are the rules for flying on a Malaysia Airlines flight with a baby?

If you’re travelling with an infant on a Malaysia Airlines flight, you are allowed to take one suitcase measuring no more than 115cm or 45 inches for your child. You can also take a pram or stroller that can be completely folded up, or a carry-on bassinet, as long as the combined weight does not exceed 10kg. Equipment such as car seats, baby seats and playpens can also be transported free of charge. At the airport, families with infants and children are allowed to board their Malaysia Airlines aircraft first, so they can get settled in for the flight.
