Best Holiday Destinations for November

November in the UK is a bleak affair, with grey clouds, cold rain and freezing temperatures making themselves known. Yes, the weather in the UK is grim, but who says you have to stay there for the duration? There are loads of tropical destinations which boast bright sunshine, beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters all year round, so we’ve come up with some of our favourites.

Here are the best holiday destinations for November, so you can jet off into the sunshine while everyone else is wrapping up in their big coat. Enjoy!

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has a hot desert climate, meaning it’s hot all year round. Travelling to the UAE’s capital city in November means that the heat won’t be unbearable, with an average daytime temperature of 25°C, and highs of 31°C - perfect beach weather!

Abu Dhabi is a glamorous world of breathtaking landmarks, ancient architecture, stunning beaches and world-class restaurants. Families will be right at home here, with Yas Waterworld a must if you’re travelling with children.

Venture into the city to witness a stunning skyline, rivalled only by Dubai, with incredible skyscrapers towering over the streets below. Here you’ll also find some magnificent examples of traditional architecture, including the beautiful Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

Oman

Oman

Another Middle Eastern paradise that enjoys wonderful weather in November is the country of Oman. This destination is a fantastic choice if you’re looking to experience somewhere that’s a little bit ‘off the beaten track”, but still want to enjoy a luxurious escape. Oman has everything you could expect from a far-flung Arabian land, with ancient temples, bustling souks and miles of golden sand just waiting to be explored.

Oman’s capital, Muscat, is a wonderful blend of East meets West, with modern shopping centres towering over traditional Arabian marketplaces. For a unique experience, why not book in for a tour of the local area? You’ll be able to learn all about the country’s intriguing history, as well as discover some hidden Middle Eastern gems.

The average November temperature in Oman is a gorgeous 26°C, with highs of 31°C - we think a dip in the pool will be more than welcome in these hot conditions!

Sri Lanka

Beach

Sri Lanka may be a small island, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in beauty. With miles of soft golden sand, warm blue waters and a vast array of exotic wildlife, this gem of the Indian Ocean has something for everyone.

Be in the presence of some of the most majestic wildlife in the world by visiting Uda Walawe National Park. There are around 500 wild elephants here, roaming around in the expansive grasslands and forests. Sri Lanka’s coastlines are unspoilt, with perfect beaches and hidden coves just waiting to be discovered! Venture inland for a greener experience, with lush vegetation and jungle-surrounded villages.

The average November temperature in Sri Lanka is 27°C, with highs of 30°C.
