Honeymoons in Dubai - Our Pick of the Best Hotels for Honeymooning in Dubai

With its year round warm weather, glorious beaches and some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, Dubai is a great choice for a honeymoon city break. Dubai is renowned for romance and has a real honeymoon feel to it, which can be experienced in its many five-star restaurants and glamorous hotel suites. So whether you’re enjoying a rooftop meal, or relaxing on a cruise around the azure Arabian Gulf, you’re bound to fall in love with a honeymoon break in Dubai.

Of course, we know that during a honeymoon, you’ll tend to spend a lot of time relaxing in and around the hotel area, either in your room or by the pool. For this reason, we recommend choosing a hotel with the X-factor, with luxurious suites that cater to your every need. To help you decide where to stay, we’ve listed a few of our favourite Dubai hotels for honeymoons:

Anantara Dubai, Palm Resort and Spa

Anantara Dubai Palm Resort and Spa

Upon arrival at your room at the Anantara, you’ll be greeted with a welcome card and a bottle of sparkling wine. But before popping a bottle of bubbly, you may want to take a moment to admire the sheer splendour of your sumptuous room.

And while honeymoons are usually a time for relaxation, there’s plenty to keep you and your new spouse entertained should you feel like taking part in one of the hotel’s many exciting activities and thrill-seeking pursuits, including water sports and dune safari tours.

But that’s not all there is to a honeymoon holiday at the Anantara Dubai. You’ll also have full access to the resort’s six fabulous restaurants and bars, a full spa, a 50-metre infinity pool and Thai cooking classes for you and your life partner to enjoy!

On top of this, there’s also the small matter of the hotel’s very own sun-soaked private beach and the outstanding Souk Madinat, where you’ll find a plethora of traditional Arabian and Middle Eastern market stalls and boutiques.

There is no official ‘Honeymoon Suite’ at the Anantara, but the resort includes a range of beautiful deluxe rooms that provide the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. You and your other half will have the luxury of three deluxe rooms to choose from, depending on your needs and wishes.

The first type is the Lagoon Access Rooms, which boast direct access to the private lagoon pool, where a mixologist is on hand to provide you and your beloved with exotic cocktails!

Next up are the Beach Pool Villas. These stunning 85 square metre rooms feature decoration inspired by traditional Asian furnishing, as well as a private villa host who will see to your every need. A private en suite soaking tub and direct beach access are just a few of the many perks that await you during your stay in these sublime rooms.

If you’re looking for the best room in the house, the Anantara’s Overwater Villas are for you. These 106 square metre villas are set directly over the lagoon and feature unique viewing panels on the floor, which give you a close up view of the below marine life. The villas also include a private concierge and an oversized soaking tub, with breath-taking views of the resort.

Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi

Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi

You’ll fall in love for a second time during your first night in the spectacular Westin Dubai Seyahi. As a newlywed, you’ll also receive a complimentary rose bath when you arrive at this beautiful five-star resort - what better way to relax after a hectic few months of planning your dream wedding?

The luxury doesn’t stop there either; breakfast in bed is also included on your first morning. The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi really goes above and beyond when it comes to honeymoons in Dubai, with discounts on couples massages and relaxing spa treatments.

When you’re not being pampered beyond your wildest dreams at the Heavenly Spa, you and your loved one may want to check out the hotel’s fantastic choice of recreational activities, including golf, tennis and water sports for thrill-seekers!

The resort also includes nine world-class bars and restaurants for you to enjoy, including poolside hangouts and sleek lounges, where you’ll be able to choose from a stunning selection of wines and vintage champagnes.

As for accommodation, the Westin Dubai offers two styles of rooms that can be customised to ensure your honeymoon is extra special.

The Deluxe room is decorated in a mixture of classical and contemporary styles with high ceilings, over sized mirrors and regal balconies with sculpted railings. Each comes with a separate bathroom that features an oversized bathtub and shower and solid wood, mahogany units.

The Executive Sea View rooms features similar amenities to the Deluxe rooms, with the added luxury of access to the Westin Executive Club Lounge. Located on the 8th floor, this lounge is open from 7am-11pm every day and includes a breakfast buffet, a private check in area, complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks all day, afternoon tea, happy hour, complimentary DVD and CD rental and one free suit or dress press per person, per stay.

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm

Looking for a hotel that ticks all the boxes? The Waldorf Astoria has been designed with romantic breaks to Dubai in mind. To stay at this iconic Dubai hotel is to step into a world of luxury, where grandeur and opulence go hand in hand.

On entering your room, you’ll find a number of personal touches and additions that will make your stay at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm extra special, including bespoke toiletries, lavish furnishings, free cake and a bottle of wine to continue your celebrations. As an extra special thanks from the Waldorf, hotel staff tend to offer complimentary room upgrades to couples who have been married in the last six months.

If you choose to stay at the Waldorf, you’ll also receive a complimentary breakfast in bed. From there, Dubai is your oyster an exciting sightseeing trip of the city’s best landmarks awaits you, including the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa.

And as far as activities are concerned, the Waldorf Astoria has something to suit every couple. You’ll find an exhaustive list of fun pursuits, from water sports and tennis, to luxury spa treatments and fun Dubai excursions.

The Waldorf only offers top quality rooms; there is no such thing as standard accommodation here. We recommend booking the King Deluxe Sea View suite, which comes with a huge 100 square foot interior with marble features and a balcony that has incredible Arabian Gulf views.

This is by no means a comprehensive list of Dubai’s best honeymoon hotels, there are so many other great options, which you’ll find on our Dubai holidays page. You’ll also find more travel ideas and information about Dubai on our blog.
