We had the most incredible time! We stayed in the Jr. Club swim up room. Our butler, Rory, was fantastic. This was our 3rd visit to Jamaica and second time staying at Breathless. We will definitely be back!
As far as restaurants: definitely check out Altitude and the World Cafe Buffet. Altitude has the best food and best view.

Stayed here for my birthday and the service was amazing, the room was spacious and clean. The entertainment team had us entertained all day! Ric James and Mikey mouse made sure we had a good time! My only complaint was the pool not being heated we were unable to experience the pool since it was February the weather wasn’t too hot outside so the pool water was an ice box!

The BEST vacation we have been on & we have traveled multiple locations in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. The resort is small but everything is beautiful. The staff are over the top wonderful. Drinks are made with premium liquor and delicious. Every meal we ate was absolutely delicious. The entertainment team were so much fun and added to the great memories of a truly wonderful trip.

My partner and I stayed at this resort for a total of 5 days and it was an amazing time. Starting with the rooms; they’re very spacious and clean. We also had a balcony with a beautiful view and a jacuzzi. Our butler, Rory, went above and beyond for us. Whether it was making dinner reservations for us, bringing us champagne or reserving beach chairs for us, he honestly made our trip so relaxing and enjoyable. All of the staff was great and helpful though. The bartenders/servers always made sure you had a drink (if you wanted one), and I noticed that the servers are constantly walking the beaches and making sure everyone has everything they may need, which again made this trip very relaxing.
As for the restaurants, I would highly recommend Bordeaux for breakfast as well as Blue Mountain for some delicious Jamaican food. The seafood at Altitude and Fishnets was so fresh and yummy, we ate at these places a couple of times because it was so good. The hibachi dinner was a really cool show and the chefs were very friendly and entertaining, just make sure to make a reservation because it is usually very booked. And last but not least, the Jerk Chicken cart that strolls up and down the beach at Secrets is something you can’t miss because the chicken is way too good.
Although Breathless doesn’t have direct beach access, the walk from Breathless to Secrets is super short and there is a portion of the beach exclusive to Breathless guests which does make it feel slightly more personal. The resort has a lot of events going on every day, like pool games or live music and they also have quiet and relaxed areas for people who just want to chill. The Breathless resort itself did seem more quiet than secrets and I found that my partner and I spent most of our time on the secrets side of the resort, simply because there was more to do so keep that in mind when reserving Breathless. Overall, this trip was a wonderful time and I would definitely come back when I’m in Jamaica again.

We have stayed at 5-star Hyatt resorts, and this certainly is not one of them - our experience fell far short of the luxury promised.
Reception was cold, and we had to wait 25 minutes to be told our room wasn't ready.
We immediately faced a series of issues upon entering the room. The toilet lights were non-functional (and the toilet had a significant gap at the top and door, resembling a bathroom stall), a wood panel on the wall was peeling off, furniture showed signs of aging and dysfunctionality (doors wouldn't stay closed, paint peeling off, refrigerator leaking), several outlets were not operational, and we had issues with the safe.
The butlers assigned to assist us throughout our stay were completely absent for the first 24 hours. We never met them in person, and only communicated with them through text messages on WhatsApp. (We are also unsure what butlers could do that room service could not, this being an all inclusive resort.)
We dined exclusively on the Secrets side after trying the only 3 restaurants at Breathless. Food took a very long time to arrive, and the quality was poor enough for us to leave and go find a buffet.
Daytime entertainment primarily consisted of staff in their hotel uniforms casually dancing around with the entertainment team. There were two nights of decent evening entertainment, which paled in comparison to entertainment on the Secrets side which was quite good.
Without a doubt, the most disappointing part of our stay was the attitudes of the hotel staff. Employees were unhelpful and appeared completely disinterested in being there. One staff member attempted to convince us to give them cash for quarters, because Jamaican banks apparently don't take American coins. It felt off to have a staff member try to use guests for cash exchange at a supposed 5-star resort.
We were asked for tips by staff after activities to the point that we stopped attending them on the Secrets side. Many activities also never occurred, without any explanation of why.
Beach chairs and pool chairs at Secrets are all reserved by 7am, with guests not returning to claim those chairs until after 1p - if at all. It's frustrating to look at an ocean of empty beach chairs and not be able to use any of them. Breathless pool was entirely empty, which was nice but also provided no social aspect. The Breathless beach was pushed to the side under trees with a very rocky beach.
We would caution others against expecting a 5-star stay at this resort, especially for how much this cost.
