The staff are so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the stay here. The breakfasts were lovely and really catered for everyone. We had dinner 3 nights here and every time the food was lovely and well worth every cent.
We had a view of the old fishing village and my only downfall was the sound of the boats coming and going out late at night and early mornings.

Stayed here for 8 days in a large group with 7 rooms, and what a horrible place this is.
To start with the furniture is very dated and worn out. The toilet leaked water onto the floor every time it was flushed and the shower also leaked everywhere. This meant having to use towels constantly to mop up.
Having 7 rooms, we had lots of small issues as well that were specific to individual rooms, but every single one of the 7 rooms needed reception to come and do some sort of maintenance OR the issue meant we had to move room.
My first room was ground floor and it was horrible. The ground floor rooms are about 2 meters away from the pool. I have stayed in ground floor rooms with pools close by but this time it was done very poorly. The external AC box for the room is mounted on the wall right next to the pool. What this meant was that the air coming into the room through the AC unit STUNK of chlorine. The first time we entered the room it hit us in the face so we aired it out and then I think our noses became used to the smell. We went out for a bit and when we returned the smell hit us again so we aired it out again. First morning we woke up and I opened the curtains to find the whole double sliding door was dripping wet with water due to the moisture in the air coming through the AC. So bad it had ran down the window and created small puddles on the floor. Also due to the moisture there were loads of flies and mosquitoes in the room, when I say loads I mean loads. Everywhere you looked you would see a fly or mosquito.
We moved to another room day two due to all of the issues, the staff knew of the issues we mentioned and were very quick to suggest a change of room but the second room was not much better.
Second night, new room, ac and flies were all OK but the shower and toilet still leaked. Went to sleep and woke up to the sound of rustling in the corner of the room, didn’t think anything of it and closed my eyes. Then I heard it again so I sat up and turned the light on, and a mouse ran from the corner of the room under the bed!!!!!!!!! Chased the thing around for a few mins and it disappeared under the door to the adjoining room, which was my mother’s room!!! The next morning, my mother’s hair straighteners had been chewed through, so we went to reception AGAIN to let them know of another issue. Funny thing is every time you are in reception, you’re pretty much guaranteed that someone will be stood there making a complaint about issues they are facing. Reception is ran by a bunch of teenage boys that do not have the slightest clue of how to deal with customers. Very unhelpful and almost seem brain dead.
The hotel is not disabled friendly, anywhere you need to go requires stairs, narrow halls and long walks.
Don’t let this put you off Pa Tong, I’m sure there are some great places to stay but unfortunately this is not one of them.
Definitely avoid staying here, the rodent issues and the room issues are not worth putting up with. We left the hotel very disappointed with pretty much everything. From the greeting, the breakfast, the rooms, the staff, every aspect needs attention to get this place to a good standard.

Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
When checking in, they asked for a $100 deposit — more than the cost of the room. That might make sense at a high-end property, but this place is run-down and poorly maintained.
The room smelled strongly of dampness, and water was actually dripping from the ceiling onto the bed. It was impossible to sleep properly, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s mold in the building. The condition of the room alone should be a dealbreaker.
The gym was non-functional — none of the machines worked, despite it being advertised as an amenity. That’s misleading, plain and simple.
Staff seemed unsure of what they were doing and weren’t helpful. When we decided to leave early, they took ages to return the deposit, which caused unnecessary delays and frustration.
This hotel claims to be 4 stars, but it shouldn’t even be rated. If you have any other option, take it. I would never stay here again.

What a horrible experience and I just arrived. From the unpleasant and unexperienced staff to the rooms that look like they stepped out of the early 1980s with dated furniture dirty floors and a bathroom fit to be in a shack with broken toilet seats to uncleaned tubs and towels that smelled like wet dog whilst using them.Rooms have this old musky smell that somehow will not clear even with doors left open to air the room. As a parent with 2 kids sharing an adjacent room that are both chronic asthma, have I set myself up for a disastrous holiday abroad almost 24 hrs away from home. Is this how the world works where we are happy to take someone's money with poor to sub standard service whilst Portraying ones self or business as a legit service provider. WE ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE LAST REVIEW... this is a shot hole and would never want anyone else to have to watch your hard earned money get flushed down the drain...

We just came back from Seaview Hotel! I would like to share my experience! We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Very highly recomendet! Nice and quite hotel! The staff on reception very nice and helpful. Cleaning staff was very good! The food were very tasty and very good breakfast buffet! The location is great for families and people who prefer to stay away from the crowd! Bangla road is 20 min walking from the hotel. Very close to the shoping area and the beach! We really enjoyed!

Overall, our stay at Andaman Seaview was a great experience. The staff were absolutely amazing—always friendly, smiling, and incredibly helpful with anything I needed. The breakfast was excellent, especially the omelette station, which I looked forward to every morning. Fantastic locations as well.
The room was comfortable, with a very cozy bed that made for a restful sleep. The pricing was also very reasonable for what was offered, making it great value for money.
The only downside was that the bathroom wasn’t as clean as expected upon arrival, with some hair left behind. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise enjoyable stay, so I wont go Karen over this.
I would happily return and recommend it to others looking for a warm, welcoming place to stay in Phuket.

Room was clean and spacious with tea coffee facilities. We had a swim up pool. Room clean and housekeeping visited daily. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good choice of food from Thai to contentintal. What let the hotel down was it looks dated in decor, Wood work is rotting and has been fixed by placing plug over the rotted wood in some places and tiles in pool have been mended.can see when done could be a 4 hotel as advertised but it's showing its age and Needs a bit of a refurbishment to get it back to that level.

Very clean spacious rooms, furnishings are a bit dated but bed is firm and comfortable and room service is available daily. Shampoo, Conditioner etc is good quality and water supplied daily. Each room has a small fridge and safe.
Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and slightly different each day.
Happy hour lasts for 7 hours with a variety of cocktails and spirits for 130 baht.
Can't say enough about how fantastic the staff are, nothing is to much trouble and everyone has a smile at all times.
So over all, slightly dated but clean and great value for money

Old but great hotel
The staff is wonderful, everything is clean, and although the closets and doors do not close 100% the rest makes up for it!
The kids love the swimming pools, breakfast is versatile and very tasty.
The location is superb!
Across Karon beach, which is very wide with white sand, and with many shops and restaurants around.
The hotel is also walking distance from the amazing KATA walking street!

We had a fantastic stay at Orchidacea! The staff were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was really good, offering a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The rooms were modern and new, with an amazing view of the ocean and city. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great.
There were a couple of small issues during our stay. The refrigerator either froze our beverages completely or didn’t cool them at all, which made it hard to store drinks properly. Also, the toilet didn’t always flush fully, which was a bit annoying.
But overall we highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks stay there. It was deluxe sea view room - with an absolutely amazing view of Kata bay. The staff is friendly and always ready to help with anything. The location is perfect - just 5min on foot to the beach. A lot of shops and other facilities around. We really would love to come back, thank you Orchidacea for a wonderful vacation

The hotel is lovely and clean, with a good breakfast selection, though it could be even better. I know cheese is rare, but having some options would have been nice. Small additions like chocolate sauce, jam, or peanut butter for pancakes would also be great. While there are plenty of "food" choices, the "breakfast" selection could be a bit more varied,
The location is excellent, very close to the beach, lively but not overly crowded. The only downside is that since the hotel is on a hill, many heavy cars and motorbikes struggle to climb it, creating quite a bit of noise, which can be a little disruptive. Fortunately, our room was at the very top, so we didn’t hear much, but near the pool, the noise was noticeable. Guests staying in lower rooms might find it bothersome.
Another highlight of our stay was the stunning view from our room. We got a big room with ocean view, with very comfy beds (1 XL king, and one twin), and waking up to the ocean stretching out before you was breathtaking ✨️
The rooms are very clean, and the service is excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They also provide a shuttle from the lobby to the higher rooms, which is great since the incline is quite steep. You can request a ride at any time, whether heading up or back down to the lobby/breakfast area.
Also the pool bar and hotel restaurants are very nice, though quite pricey :D
Overall, it’s a clean and comfortable option with good service. If you can, definitely go for the sea-view room and go to beach as often as you can!

This hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel and definitely has the potential to be so, but the lack of response from the admin/reception for some requests, the uninterested drivers who seem put out when you ask them to drive you up the top so you avoid the steep climb up dozens of steps and the bad WiFi that sees you watching more buffering time than screen time, detracts from the rating. The views and proximity are good and most of the staff friendly and helpful, just don't expect a lift up to your room or to be picked up. You need to love climbing stairs and heaps of them.

Lovely hotel, the rooms were clean and in good working order.
Hotel staff are among the nicest we've seen in Thailand and go out of their way to help. Very friendly. The pool bar staff ensure a drink is always available, especially at happy hour, where some great cocktails can be enjoyed along with beers wines and regular spirits.
A comprehensive food menu also available at the pool or room via phone or app, staff.
A short walk to all amenities and between the two main beaches in Kata. Located up and on a short hill. Requires a bit off leg work to and from hotel and rooms.
The pool was well maintained and we never struggled for a sun lounger. One of the few hotels that doesn't have them reserved with towels from 6am.
A good size pool with a 1.8m depth at one end. And a jacuzzi jet area at the other. A smaller kids paddling pool for the small ones.

Extremely good value for money and the staff are the most welcoming especially the security guard at the front of the property. The hotel itself is fairly modern and kept clean daily however quite small. It is about 4 mins walk to the beach front but quite a small beach also.
I would like to see more attention paid to the bed sheets and the food in the restaurant is a little expensive but good quality.
Two pools and a gym at the property and was very quiet and peaceful when I went, if you’re looking for a quiet retreat then definitely recommend as quite far out from the bar streets although reachable by grab or motorbike.
Highly Recommend for couples or families looking for quieter stays… maybe not too great for children

Originally booked in for 2 nights but extended to 9 as was really impressed by the hotel and it's location.
But most of all the staff are just incredible - always friendly, always smiling and a pleasure to be around. All were amazing but particularly Nim and Ashlee were superstars, but also a mention to Matt, Mariam, Juice and Beam.
Location is great opposite a nice beach and lots of places walking distance without being too busy.
Only improvements were the room is missing a couple of amenities like a full length room (they were happy to provide one) and a small sofa or armchair/foot rest.
Also wasn't aware until seeing ourselves about activities like yoga - not sure if we were to be told about this at check in

We booked this hotel through Booking.com, where it was listed as a 5-star, but after arriving, I checked Google Maps and saw it was rated 4 stars—and honestly, that feels more accurate. The staff were absolutely amazing, every single one of them, and they truly made the experience better.
We booked a room with a private pool, and while it was nice, the details let it down. Small things like the floor finishes and the bathroom just showed a lack of care, which took away from the luxury feel. Hotels are always a personal experience—what works for one person might not for another—but for me, the room simply didn’t meet 5-star expectations.
Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The beach is just a 2-minute walk away, and it has everything you need—toilets, food, sunbeds, umbrellas, jet skis, and massages (bring cash!).
Again, the staff were incredible, but in my opinion, this is not a true 5-star hotel.

We only stayed here for one night, but we think this was the best accommodation of our Phuket trip. We chose the Jacuzzi Villa and enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi while taking in the beautiful sea view on the beach—it was such a chill vibe. The room is also spacious, so there’s no need to worry about space.
At first, we were concerned about privacy. However, the hotel arranged a highly private room for us that still had a great view. We really appreciate their thoughtful service.
The Jacuzzi Villa is very close to Kamala Beach, making it easy to access. We also spent time relaxing in the pavilion by the beach and enjoyed the stunning sea view. Everything was wonderful.
The hotel also offers high-quality food with great taste at reasonable prices. We usually don’t have lunch and dinner consecutively at a hotel, but this time we did—the pork chop was especially delicious.
The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast, as there weren’t many options available. However, this didn’t affect my overall impression. I will definitely visit this hotel again!

We stayed just one night here on our last night of our holiday, and it was perfect. The location is stunning - right on the beautiful Kamala Beach. It's right at the end, so it almost feels like a private stretch of beach. The hotel has sun loungers looking out to sea - I could have stayed there for weeks.
We stayed in a sea view suite, which had two balconies (although only one with furniture). The bathroom was fab, and the bed really comfy.
Breakfast was the best I had in Thailand - and they gave me a discount as I'm vegan so had limited (but still excellent) choice, which was so nice.
Everyone working there was really friendly and helpful. A perfect end to our holiday.

Rooms and beds are like a United States budget hotel. But the location can be beat. Directly on the beach with awesome views. Fruit and coconut trees all around. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful massage parlor steps away from the entrance to the hotel. Close distance to Great shopping and food. Would highly recommend staying here. The only drawback is that there are multiple levels to this hotel and uneven floors in the rooms and on the way to the rooms in the hallways.

I stayed at Novotel Kamala Beach recently, and I had a really great time. Right from the moment I walked in, I felt welcome thanks to the amazing service. A big thank you to Jerey at the front desk who was super prompt and helpful—he really made my check-in smooth and set a positive tone for my entire stay.
I also enjoyed my meals thanks to Tod from the F&B team. His warm hospitality made every dining experience feel special and personal. All in all, the friendly staff made me feel right at home, and I can’t wait to return. If you’re in the area, definitely check this place out!

Stayed here for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. Staff is amazingly polite and helpful, specially Surya and Nut along with team at the roof top bar.
Overall, the hotel was a great choice for us.
One less star for the food. A la carte is pretty average and small portions.
Breakfast buffet is nice but if staying for a night or two. There was next to no change in the buffet menu throughout our stay.
I will be coming back in September!

My husband and I choose the Pavilions Phuket as our wedding venue. We, along with family and friends stayed at the venue. The food, accommodations, location, and service were all amazing. All the staff we encountered during our stay were so hardworking and welcoming.
Amm my wedding coordinator was the absolute best. She was so detailed, accommodating, and flexible I can’t thank her enough. She helped me make my dream of a blended western, Hmong, and Korean wedding come true. We still rave about our stay at the Pavilions Phuket to this day and will continue to do so for a long time. From the very first moment at The Pavilions Phuket, it felt like we had stepped into a perfectly directed dream — one we didn’t want to wake up from.
We stayed twice — first in the Penthouse Pool Villa, surrounded by soft green hills and calm, thoughtful architecture. It felt like a modern retreat, private and serene, made for slow mornings and open-air afternoons.
Then the Ocean View Pool Villa took it to another level. Waking up and stepping straight from the bedroom into your own infinity pool, with the Andaman Sea right ahead — it’s pure poetry. The villa’s design is more traditional, with that signature “pavilion” soul: clean lines, noble materials, and a sense of timelessness.
But what truly makes this place unforgettable is the team. This isn’t “just another resort chain” — it feels more like a quiet family, intuitively working together with one goal: to make you feel wonderful, without ever being over-present. From the front desk to the spa, every smile felt real, every gesture graceful.

We came for our wedding in March 2025 and had the most amazing experience ever! Amm and her team were absolutely incredible and made sure everything was perfect! We came here in September of 2023 for our honeymoon and stayed at the ocean view pool villa. It was incredible! The service was exceptional and we loved every aspect of our stay. The resort helped us pick out excursions for the days we wanted to get out and explore. They arranged EVERYTHING. We just chose the excursion and they arranged for our ride to pick us up etc. We just paid for everything at the end of our stay. The room service was amazing and we always had a ton of food. The service in general was incredible. Each staff member went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, we honestly felt like they were family by the time we left.
Would definitely recommend this resort! We have decided we will be back every 5 years.
My husband and I talk often about how we can’t wait to get back here.

The hotel left a great impression. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh bedding and towels provided every day. We enjoyed the breakfast; everything was delicious. Our room had a view of the pool, and the beach area was well-equipped with comfortable loungers, beautiful palm trees creating a cozy atmosphere, and a bar where you could enjoy drinks. The hotel isn’t new, but it’s very well-maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help. While swimming in the sea wasn’t ideal due to the rocky shore, the pool was excellent, so it didn’t bother us. All of this made the stay even more enjoyable. We stayed for a couple of days but would have happily stayed longer.

I must admit that this hotel exceeds all my expectations. Located 5km from Nathon, in a really calm area. Private Beach is amazing, room is very spacious, well equipped and in case of a bad weather, it has Netflix, Amazon Prime. Breakfast was the best i've every experienced in a hotel. Everything you need, from continental breakfast, though thai food, pasta, finishing by fresh fruits, juice and coffee. Staff is extremely friendly. You can take a bike or kanoe for free, they also offer shuttle bus to Nathon and Chewang for free. More than i would expect for that price.

When we arrived it was very nice, so well kept. It's really peaceful in Mai Samui. A few cafes/Restaurants near by that are walkable to. We went to a cafe called Kovani Samui, they do frozen yoghurts, sandwiches etc so is nice to go for something different. There is a free shuttle. It goes to 2 of the towns, but the timings weren't that good. You are tied to the hotel after 4.30 pm unless you get a taxi back. It's a place for relaxing and not ideal to stay any longer than 2 nights. Friendly staff and can't do enough for you.

The resort is a lovely 3* resort. The issue is, is that it's being sold online by a few companies at 5*. The staff are so nice but are probably getting sick of defending the hotel to guests who expect a different star rated hotel. The location isn't great for things to do, so you expect to be able to enjoy a 5* hotel,which obviously isn't a thing. This is also backed up by the hotel manager. The hotel is lovely and quiet with issues you would expect from a older hotel.

This is my second time staying here but my partner and his family have been coming for years. A truly lovely place to stay and the staff are good at what they do!
The rooms are spacious and the air con is absolutely beautiful after a long day in the sun. Towels can be changed daily if you want them to be, cleaning happened at different points every day but they were never in the room when we were. When we arrived we had a bowl of fruit waiting for us and fresh water left daily.
There is a shuttle bus and boat that frequent between the canal village and other areas around the Laguna free of charge. Makes the journey more exciting. Just be sure to check times. The boat is roughly every 30 minutes. The shuttle bus is more frequent.
It really is a lovely place. We stayed during non peak this time and it felt like we were the only people here.

Wow wow wow, we are checking out today and we are absolutely devastated our entire trip has been made so much better by this beautiful hotel and the amazing reception, hospitality and cleaning staff, we even had a birthday cake delivered to the room for her 7th birthday. For our family holiday this has been absolutely perfect, I couldn’t recommend this more. The hotel is a little out of the way but with the “bolt” app (like Uber) it took that problem away, we requested a later checkout due to a late flight and young children and this was not a problem for them (subject to availability for others obviously)
We had a half board package and the food was delicious, great breakfast choices.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite which was superb.
I am sad to be leaving, we will 100% return in the future.

The location is absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear turquoise waters and soft white sands just steps away from our room. We had a wonderful 5-night stay and were truly impressed by the exceptional service throughout. Jeremy from the customer experience team was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Non was fantastic—he helped us with our baggage during both check-in and check-out, which we really appreciated.
The staff at the swimming pool area were consistently helpful and attentive. Though we didn’t catch all their names, they went above and beyond—including remembering our daughter’s name every time we visited the pool, which meant a lot to us.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff, in particular Ice, Jeremy, Noo, and Nut. The food was delicious, but expensive if you had to eat outside of the half-board package. The wine choices on the half-board option were woeful, however, and something the hotel should look at changing. Lamai is a quiet option, compared with the much busier Chaweng and Bhoput areas. The beach at the hotel is lovely, and staff try hard to keep it pristine, despite Mother Nature's constant influx of seaweed.
The Edgewater Bar across the road became a favourite spot to relax after the very helpful Ice changed the music to a softer, easy listening vibe, much more appropriate for such a lovely setting. Thanks, too, to the traffic control guys for keeping everyone safe.
Watching the comings and goings across to the little outdoor gym on the island was fun, and it was a real treat to see the muay Thai boxers make their way there for training.
The second pool area is a wonderfully quiet place to read, swim, or have an afternoon nap.
Our room was beautifully clean and not full of unnecessary extras like cotton buds, sewing kits, toothbrushes,etc, which could be ordered through the app if you so wished. Breakfast had wonderful choices, including my husband's favourite, the egg station where the lovely chef made delicious eggs to order.
Overall, we had a wonderful 10 days here and would recommend it. Thanks to all who made our stay so comfortable. Best wishes, C and M

After some thought, I’m going to give this place four out of five stars.
Pros:
- The hotel building and grounds are really beautiful;
- Staff were friendly and helpful;
- The room had a kind of quaint charm;
Cons:
- The breakfast is held in an open-air space on the ground floor. This is a serious problem. On one occasion I saw a cockroach crawling on the fruit. On another, ants got into a bowl of honey. I actually saw a bird fly in at one point to help itself to a bowl of jam. The staff didn’t seem to notice these food safety breaches, although acted quickly when I pointed out the ants. For a five-star establishment, they need to urgently address their breakfast buffet safety standards;
- There is a very busy road dividing the main building from the pool area by the beach, and, despite two security guards stationed by the crossing, it was a frustrating and seemingly dangerous experience trying to cross the road multiple times per day;
- The room, while nice, showed some evidence of being a bit run down in places. There were also some grease stains behind the bathroom door that I got rid of quickly by cleaning myself. Some attention may need to be given to updating the rooms to a five-star standard;
- The gym is pretty sparse. Obviously not everyone will care about this, but I enjoy regular gym sessions and probably would have liked to see a bit more equipment available;
- The resort is located away from the centre of Lamai. Ordinarily I don’t mind walking, but the road to town is extremely busy, choked with exhaust pollution and the sidewalks are an afterthought. Walking around was not an easy nor pleasant experience. For those not planning on leaving the resort this will obviously not be an issue, however it was for me.
In summary, this resort was a pleasant experience but fell short of my expectations for a five-star establishment. As a comparison, we also stayed in Bangkok for three nights at a (definite) five-star hotel in Silom, which cost us less per night than Outrigger while delivering better rooms, better gym and a better breakfast experience.

Staff were friendly and helpful, only problem was that they seemed to be very short of staff in all departments.
Breakfast was ok, due to the staffing issue, tables and plates were left for long periods or racked up in corners of the breakfast area.
The bar/swimming area/ restaurant (a walk across the rd) was nice, but approximately 4x the cost of neighbouring restaurants.
We opted for the lounge access, and club rooms. Options of snacks very limited and often through the week repeated. Nice selection of drinks in the evening, and free coffee thought the day.
All in all a decent hotel, what the decent facilities - unlikely we will stay again.

I had high hopes for OUTRIGGER Koh Samui Beach Resort, but unfortunately, our stay was far from pleasant, this is far from a 5 start hotel!!. The biggest issue? The overwhelming smell of mold in the room. If you don’t request an air water humidifier, everything inside will become damp within hours. Even with the humidifier running 24/7, I had to empty it at least four times a day during our four-night stay—an absolutely ridiculous inconvenience for a supposedly high-end resort. The fact they have that air water humidifier is obviously a known issue they are facing.
On top of that, the rooms are incredibly dark, making it necessary to keep the blinds open for any natural light. The problem? Our room was right next to the pool, meaning anyone passing by could see straight in. There was no sense of privacy at all. You will need to make sure you get Level 2 or higher otherwise you will have no privacy. The walls were thin and you could hear the footsteps from the room above you and hear people talk from the room beside you.
However the hotel staff and cleaners were friendly and had good service.

Our short stay at Paradise Beach Resort Samui was a wonderful escape, especially for a family that loves to stay active. The resort has two pools, which quickly became our kids’ favorite hangout. We also appreciated the chance to use free kayaks and bicycles—paddling around was surprisingly easy, and the bike rides offered a quick way to explore nearby lanes.
Our room felt spacious, allowing us to spread out without feeling cramped. The staff was generally helpful and everything ran smoothly. The laid-back atmosphere allowed us to recharge, and our kids came home with plenty of stories to share. If you enjoy a bit of adventure mixed with relaxation, this place fits the bill.

Had a wonderful stay at this resort! The campus is calm and beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The room interiors are simple yet aesthetic, adding to the overall relaxing vibe. The resort offers two great swimming pools and direct beach access, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast buffet was good, though vegetarian options were limited. However, the chef went above and beyond—after realizing the limited choices, he personally came to speak with me and even prepared special vegetarian Thai noodles without any request. Later, he checked in again and offered to make stir-fried veggies, which was a really thoughtful gesture.
Room service could have been better—towels were not replaced even after being left on the floor, and water bottles were not restocked unless we requested them at the reception.
Despite this, the overall experience was really good

We’ve loved the gorgeous beach, fantastic location, and our facilities and stay in Beach Villa #105—it’s been a wonderful 7 days relaxing experience.
A couple of minor improvement suggestions, if we may?
A gym would be a great addition. There’s a fantastic running route up to the waterfall and jungle road, but we feel the resort is missing a basic gym. It looks like you have the space for one, and it would really enhance the guest experience.
Breakfast food warmers need attention and daily checks. On three mornings around 7:30 AM, the food warmers hadn’t been turned on or some way to low, meaning some dishes weren’t at the right temperature for us to safely enjoy. No one wants cold beans or tepid hot dishes! We mentioned this to both reception and restaurant staff, but sadly it kept happening.
Cooking Poached eggs could be handled differently. Perhaps only from a Western perspective, poaching eggs in the same water used for Hard boiling eggs—even if they’ve been washed (?) —feels a bit unhygienic. A separate pan for poaching would make a big difference.
These are just small tweaks that could elevate an already excellent experience. Huge thanks to Nam at the front desk and the entire team at Paradise Beach Resort. We would absolutely return to Villa 105!

Hotel is in a more secluded part of Koh Samui but it’s only a 10min ride to Fisherman’s Village and 20mins to the bustling city of Chaweng. Rooms are spotless and we stayed in a garden villa, only a few steps to the bar and the beach so the perfect spot!!! Staff were extremely friendly and attentive and really looked after us. Shout out to the bar staff for their awesome cocktails 🍹. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing, easy stay with stunning views.

Hotel itself was beautiful very tastefully designed and the facilities were great. Food at both restaurants was also very nice was too easy to not leave at all! Also the free shuttle around the Laguna area was amazing. Took me to and from Laguna golf everyday. Staff all so lovely and helpful. Would happily stay again.

The location was perfect, close to many attractions, and the added bonus of free shuttle bus and boat services made getting around so easy. Highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic experience!

This Resort is perched on the headland just south of Patong Beach the views are superb but these views come at a cost: steep land. Be prepared to use shuttles to travel around the resort. This worked fine for us being a family of four with two small children.
We enjoyed five nights in a two-bedroom Ocean View Villa. The room was excellent being clean and tidy with superb views.
We dined at both the Thai and Italian restaurants. Both offered excellent food and we particularly enjoyed the degastation menu with paired wines at the Italian restaurant. We also used room service dining which we ordered using an app. The food arrived within 30 minutes and was beautifully arranged on our dining table.
One morning we had a 6:30 a.m. pickup for a day out on a boat. The resort provided breakfast Hampers and towels and a wake up call. We found the service throughout our stay to be excellent.
As ONYX members we enjoyed 10% discount on all food and Beverage as well as other services such as spa. We also had free use of snacks and mini bar in the room as well as cash to spend in the resort. On arrival the staff clearly pointed out all of the benefits of our membership.
On the whole our experience was very positive and we would return again.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff Ms. Jubjib made us feel incredibly welcome and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth, and she happily answered all of our questions with a smile.
The entire staff was amazing—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. It really made a difference in our overall experience.
The food was another highlight. We enjoyed every meal we had at the hotel—delicious, fresh, and with plenty of variety. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything was well-prepared and flavorful.

The wonderful Amari is located in Phuket's Pa Tong area and it’s committed to providing a peaceful stay for its visitors! This beachfront hilltop resort offers a variety of facilities, eating options, and activities to make sure that everyone is satisfied and I will definitely be going back since I enjoyed this property thoroughly!
The entire space is exquisitely set up, and the lobby's roomy, lovely, and straightforward architecture exudes a sense of a peaceful sanctuary. The construction of their rooms exudes sophistication and a modern look. Not only did their rooms have beautiful exteriors, but they also had beautiful interiors. In addition to a range of fruits and snacks and a complementary minibar that included juices, sodas, and coconut water, they were spacious and furnished with everything I needed. From my lodging, I could also enjoy a stunning view of the Pa Tong coastline and the surrounding greenery. Walking about the area gave me the tranquil impression of being in a forest, and I was constantly greeted by breathtaking sights.
All hotel visitors can take advantage of the many amenities that Amari provides. Among these facilities are their Idea Room, the Coral Room, the Fit Center, several swimming pools, a spa, and three dining options. I got the chance to see three pools: one near the Rim Talay restaurant, one at Club Pakarang, their clubhouse, and one just next to La Gritta restaurant. It was a very calming experience because each pool was immaculate and well-kept. Their breakfast buffet had a view of the coastline and was served in the Coral Room, which is just next to the Idea Room, which can be used for meetings. Even while on vacation, you can stay in shape thanks to their Fit Center, which is near the La Gritta restaurant.
I started by going to Rim Talay for the breakfast buffet. The wide range of delicious meal alternatives was quite alluring, and the food was fresh, which improved its flavor—something that is surprisingly hard to get at most hotels. They also provide a large selection of international dishes for lunch and dinner. My next stop was La Gritta, an Italian restaurant. Well-prepared dishes and polite service were features of this fine dining experience. I suggest getting the Lasagna, which had the perfect ratio of pasta to meat, and the Di Mare pizza, which is a pizza with mixed seafood. The warm, fresh dough added a delightful crunch to the pizza sauce, which was not overly sweet and complemented the shrimp. As expected, the breathtaking view is provided by Amaris Club Pakarang's hilltop location. Aside from a wide range of delicious bite-sized appetizers, they also serve some delicious traditional Thai food alongside western options. Because it has a pool and outside seating, the clubhouse is a terrific spot to relax.
Unquestionably one of Phuket's top attractions, Amari provides every tourist with an unforgettable experience with its excellent service, friendly staff, cozy accommodations, delectable food, and stunning views. If you are considering a trip to Phuket and want to have a genuine vacation, I would highly recommend staying at Amari!

Had a lovely experience at Amari. Located in the perfect spot to walk into town, they also offer complimentary shuttles into town at set times to help you get around. Breakfast was delicious and the pools were a perfect place to spend the day. The rooms are airconditioned which is a must in the Phuket heat. All the staff are super super friendly making your stay all the more pleasant. Golf helped us at check out and was amazing. Would definitely recommend staying at Amari Phuket.

Good location.
Service was horrible. When it came to check out they promised us a late checkout and then when the time came, they tried charging us for the late checkout. Don’t get me started on the front desk. They charged me for a dinner and went to my credit card, and then charged me again when it was time to check out. I showed them my charge from my bank and wouldn’t believe me. (They even blocked out car to the airport from leaving, which made us late to the airport.)

I stayed here for 3 nights and honestly, it was such a nice experience! The whole place is super clean and they have fun daily activities that make the stay even better.
My room was really tidy and the view was amazing – I could see both the pool and the beach from the balcony.
The pool area and other spots around the resort are great, lots of things to try and enjoy. The gym’s also a nice bonus, open 24/7 and has everything you need.
Location-wise, it’s perfect – close to everything like coffee shop, restaurant, and even a pharmacy if you need one.
Overall, I think this resort totally deserves a high rating. It’s definitely worth trying out, and I’d love to come back again! 👍🏼

The hotel is a great place just besides the beach, there are many activity available provided by the hotel as well. We spend most of our time playing in the hotel, the breakfast is great as well. The only issue is the room have too many mosquitoes, my kid wake up with bites all over his face the first night, the hotel provided us an electronic repellent not sure helpful or not and I spray lots of the repellent I bought along, the next day onwards is better a bit.
The playrooms are great as well, we went everyday while staying there and my kid even make new friend there. Grateful there is Leena to help the kids have fun with available activity and play with them as well. The kids really happy there and don't want to leave every time.
Appreciate the service by hotel porter Bale and Tong as well, always greet us with great smile when arrive hotel and help with the luggage when arriving and leaving. If you need free ride provided by hotel to the old town, you can arrange with them as well.
Overall is a great hotel that is away from the noise with a clean beach, convenient store is within walking distance just outside the hotel as well. The bamboo sharks conserve by the hotel are cute as well!

Had a wonderful time here! Jane, the member of the team was so great! She was so sweet and nice! We had a room upgrade which we really appreciate and made our stay even more comfortable and memorable. The resort had 2 pools areas which is nice and direct access to the beach. Checkout was smooth as well. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a resort that caters to families. My kids enjoyed their time here very much. We will definitely come here again the next time we visit Phuket!

Warm service, beautiful setting, and a relaxing stay. We had a great family vacation at the Pullman Panwa Resort. The resort is clean and modern with a lovely beachfront and large pools (though I wish the pool were a bit deeper for adults). It's a quiet, tucked-away spot—perfect if you want to unwind, but about 30 mins from most excursions.
What really made the experience shine was the exceptional service. Huge thanks to Aey, Tiara, Aun, and Ice—each of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food, daily happy hour, and overall atmosphere were all great. A great choice for families looking for calm and kindness in Phuket. Would definitely recommend.

We love our experience here. The room is spacious and quiet, perfect for a family of 3. However our only complaint is that there are too much mosquitoes especially if you leave the balcony open.
The breakfast spread is extensive, with halal options. We also enjoy the other facilities- the gym, pools, private beach and the kids club.
Our highlight would be all the staff who attended to us. From the staff at the reception counter, the servers and runners at Aqua, the concierge and the wonderful ladies at the Sapparot- we are truly grateful by how friendly and attentive everyone is to us. A special shoutout to Bale, Yang and Farn who helped us with our items during check-in and checkout!

Lovely resort. Kids loved the pool and slide. Restaurant options were good - good Thai restaurant on site and the ocean view restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Pool side dining was good too. Beach was lovely and clean. Unfortunately when we were there the no swim flags were up quite a lot and it was pretty choppy waters, but not the fault of the resort obviously. Life guards were actively monitoring the beach and warning people not to swim when it wasn't safe.

One of the best resort experiences I’ve ever had. After receiving numerous recommendations from friends and family, we finally decided to visit—and it exceeded all expectations.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The resort offers a wide variety of restaurants and cocktail bars, catering to all tastes. It is particularly well-suited for families with children, featuring an impressive water park and seven to eight immaculately maintained swimming pools.
There are also several local shops nearby, and affordable hourly massage services are readily available. The buffet options were diverse and of high quality.
The beach was pristine in the mornings, although it can become untidy by the evening due to some guests not disposing of their rubbish properly. However, the resort staff ensures it is thoroughly cleaned and restored.
Highly recommended for both families and couples. We would gladly return again and again.

We stayed three nights at Katathani Resort and had a wonderful experience. Our ocean-view room was clean, spacious, and had a luxurious feel to it. The pool was spotless and inviting, with the Coconut Bar right next to it—a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink.
The staff were incredibly helpful, polite, and always pleasant. The front desk team was especially great, offering useful suggestions and local recommendations.
The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach and within walking distance to many nearby restaurants. The resort itself is expansive, with multiple dining options to suit all tastes. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious choices each morning.
Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and would highly recommend Kata Resort to anyone visiting the area.

I recently stayed at this resort, and while the location was great, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the price tag. The room was decent but nothing extraordinary, especially when considering the high cost of the stay. In terms of customer service, it was okay—I'd say about 65% good. Some staff were attentive, but there were moments where things could have been more efficient or friendly. Overall, the resort was fine but didn’t offer enough value for the money, considering the room and service were average at best.

Stayed a week here in the northerly wing, which was lovely and quiet. Beautiful view of the beach. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the whole hotel is spotless. Beautiful manicured gardens, spotless pools and restaurants and the staff are so friendly and accommodating.
Great location as nice and quiet, but within easy access to the larger, busier beaches and night markets/amenities and local sights.
Having an app service that lets you order towels, room service, etc, is brilliant, although it would be good if that same service could be extended to ordering food and drink around the pool areas.
Overall, it is a lovely, well-appointed hotel with fantastic staff.

I recently visited for breakfast as an outside guest, and I must say — it was an absolutely delightful experience! The breakfast buffet had such a wide and impressive selection, with a great mix of both international and local dishes. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
What stood out even more was the warm and welcoming service from the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, making me feel just as valued as an in-house guest. A special thank you to Chef COCO, who was incredibly kind and attentive. Chef COCO took time to make sure guests were happy and satisfied, which truly added a personal touch to the whole experience.
Although I wasn’t staying at the hotel, I felt completely welcomed. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast — not only for the delicious food, but also for the lovely atmosphere and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

A truly wonderful place on earth. The people are so accommodating and friendly. A magnificent garden with great attention to detail. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. This hotel fully deserves its 5 stars. Great spa. Even on vacation, you can climb a few stairs. That's no problem. Otherwise, they happily chauffeur you around in buggies. Everything is very well organized. The beach is incredibly beautiful. You can look forward to it!

I don’t like to leave scathing reviews but I will in this particular instance - to ensure that the hotel management takes the appropriate action. The hotel is old - irrefutably so. But we were not fussed since the service was generally good and the beach was beautiful. However, on the last night that we were there, I was assaulted by bugs ( I suspect bed bugs). I reported this to the manager, who asked the housekeeping staff to check. I was told that they were ant bites, and that I had sensitive soft skin. (??!!) At check out, the receptionist coolly handed me a bill for incidentals of around $100 (the room was pre paid) - I was quietly indignant at this stage. Not only were there no apologies from management, and no admission that there were bugs in the room, we were handed a bill! By then I had repeated a few times that there was a bug-problem. I am assuming that the hotel has a ‘non-admission of guilt’ policy as the lady kept a cool demeanour, told me that she will waive the bill and waited for us to leave. We felt dismissed. This was really a most unpleasant experience especially since my husband is a Gold Elite Marriot member. We have since moved out to another hotel. My message to the hotel: it’s time to step up. This is not a good way to represent the Marriot brand. Disgraceful.

We were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, and the room itself was spacious, huge, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious, with something for everyone—from fresh fruits to Western eggs and bacon to Thai noodle specialties and everything in between. I loved the fresh wheatgrass and rotating Thai curry omelette specials.
The beach bar offered decent food with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for casual bites by the ocean. The shuttle service was outstanding—, smooth, and super convenient to get around the huge property. A special thank you to the team for not only arranging our airport drop off and pick up shuttle but also preparing a thoughtful takeaway breakfast for our early departure. That level of care and attention to detail truly sets Sheraton Samui apart.
Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-cared-for vacation experience. We can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately, our stay at the Marriott Merlin Beach did not live up to the glowing reviews we had read online. From the start, the hotel fell short of expectations.
The room design lacked proper soundproofing we could clearly hear noises from outside and from neighboring rooms, which made it hard to relax, especially with a toddler. We had opted for the all-inclusive package, expecting a stress-free experience, but the reality was far from that.
The breakfast buffet, while appearing to offer variety, was poorly curated and not thoughtfully selected. The space was overcrowded every morning, which made it more frustrating than enjoyable. The restaurants across the resort did offer diverse menus, but sadly, we ended up with food poisoning, which severely impacted our holiday.
The pool area, another highlight in most reviews, was clearly not cleaned adequately for the volume of guests. With so many people using it daily, more frequent and proper maintenance is necessary and it wasn’t happening during our stay.
On a positive note, the staff were polite and helpful, especially when our son got sick. Their support in that moment was appreciated.
Overall, it was a one-time experience for us. The resort did not meet expectations and the online praise feels misleading. We won’t be returning.

A fantastic resort with everything you need for an amazing holiday. The resort staff couldn’t do enough to help guests, the food was amazing and the beach was pretty and relaxing. The pools were warm and wonderful. Plenty of activities on offer too. The Rum Shack was our favourite spot for an evening drink by the beach.
Romantic atmosphere but also suitable for families. We had a fantastic time!

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Marriott Merlin Beach for the past seven days, and today marks my official last day.
The staff has been phenomenal—accommodating, friendly, and a true joy to interact with throughout our stay.
The concierge team did a fantastic job booking all of our excursions and made the planning process seamless.
The accommodations are outstanding—from the multiple pools and well-equipped gym to the relaxing jacuzzi and delicious breakfast buffet (my personal favorite).
The complimentary shuttle service into town is a wonderful perk—definitely take advantage of it and explore the beautiful sights of Phuket.
Thank you, Marriott, for helping my family celebrate two major milestones: my mother’s retirement after 48 years of hard work and my sister’s 50th birthday.

Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach is a peaceful getaway located away from the main street, which makes it quiet and relaxing. It’s a perfect place to unwind, and the hotel has a large, beautiful pool—our kids spent the whole day playing in it and absolutely loved it!
The facilities are well-maintained, and the staff are warm and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here!
One thing to note: the beach has strong waves, so if you’re traveling with young children, it’s safer to enjoy the hotel pool instead. The breakfast was great, and the spa was also a highlight of our trip.
Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Phuket!

My wife and I booked this resort for 7 nights. We have a great time overall. We really enjoyed breakfast, the location and the service. Jeen, a worker from the resort was always helpful and super friendly. It is true, that the fitness centre was very small and 2 of the 3 treadmills they had weren't working....also felt like when 4 people were training it was just too small for all of us. It needs to be bigger and have machinery operating. We thought the prices were slightly high. I have to say that they upgraded our room and that was very nice. We will come back hopefully in the near future. Thank you.

Loved our stay here in March/april 25 and will return one year. Location right on the beach is superb. Walk out the front and you have the main road through Cheweng with eateries, markets, shops, massage parlours galore. We were worried if it was going to be too lively for us but we absolutely loved it. Ark bar a short walk along the beach, fire shows every night.
Breakfast was ok and acceptable. The staff were superb. Depending on the tide depends on how much beach is available outside the hotel. So some days we had no beds on the beach which was disappointing.
But yeah, loved the location and the area.
Oh, low flying planes from 7am till 9pm. Chaweng is right underneath the flight path to the airport. Again it didn’t bother us during our 11 night stay. It was cool to see.

We absolutely loved our 10 night stay at this resort. We had the grand suite at the very back of the resort which was unreal. Two beautiful pools, the staff are friendly, great swim up bar & restaurant. Great location and the beach out front is the cleanest part along the whole stretch. Everything about our stay was amazing!
There are 2 communal pools, one is in the middle of the resort and very calm, the other is by the beach and has the pool bar where the majority of the guests go.
The accommodation was beautiful, we had our own pool and I loved the outdoor shower!
The staff went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation and private pool were cleaned daily and there were daily sweet treats left for us.
The food was delicious. There was a lot of choice for the buffet breakfast, Continental and Asian options.
The resort has two restaurants, both served outstanding food by outstanding staff.
We would definitely go back.

My wife and I spent the last part of our honeymoon here, and it was fantastic. The staff were professional and very polite, the grounds and facilities immaculate, and our room very much felt like it belonged in a 5 star resort. We wished we could've stayed longer than 3 nights, and will hopefully return in the near future.
Note that the resort is a fair walk from the main tourist hubs on Ko Samui, but cabs are cheap and the resort has free shuttle trips at set times during the day. Didn't bother us at all, as the pools, spa and restaurants at Melati were more than sufficient for us.

We stayed at Melati Hotel as a couple with our 1.5-year-old daughter and had a fantastic experience. We wanted a spacious room with a living area, and the only option available was a pool villa. We were initially concerned about safety for our child, but the hotel went above and beyond by sending a team of carpenters to build a safety fence around the pool. They did this without compromising the aesthetics of the space—truly exceptional service! It's worth noting that this option is only available for specific types of pool villas.
The staff at Melati were outstanding—always smiling, attentive, and ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warm and professional approach truly enhanced our stay and made us feel incredibly welcome.
Beyond that, the hotel is absolutely stunning. The lush greenery, complete with birds and squirrels, makes it feel like you're in a jungle paradise. The rooms are of a very high standard—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options.
One small note: in the suite level we booked, I would have expected a rainfall showerhead instead of a standard one, but this minor detail did not affect our overall experience.
We highly recommend Melati Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay!

Melati is a truly breathtaking resort, the infinity pool leading on to the beach is so luxurious, both resort restaurants were soo delicious! The rooms are spacious and clean, the employees are all very kind and helpful, I don’t have a single complaint! A small piece of advice though, theres is a near by hotel by a similar name, our taxi took us to the wrong place to begin with, it wasn’t a huge issue but double check with your driver before you take off to avoid the same problems!

Staying at Melati in Koh Samui was a mixed experience. Despite the picturesque gardens and a cozy villa upgrade, we encountered issues with room maintenance, like faulty lighting and poor water pressure, and sink drainage which dampened our experience. Resolving these issues required persistent effort, and while we appreciated the eventual room upgrade and complimentary amenities, the service remained slow and inattentive. Overall, while the resort's setting is lovely, the service fell short of expectations, leaving a less-than-smooth impression.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! Ink, the Front Office Manager, was very helpful and consistently greeted us with a warm smile, as did the rest of the staff. Early check-in and check-out were accommodated smoothly. The Pool Villa was exactly as described - comfortable and well-maintained. The staff’s attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly made our stay special. Overall, the experience met all our expectations, and we would gladly choose this hotel again on our return visit!

Our stay was genuinely one of the best we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out warm, attentive, and effortless. Jane was particularly fantastic; nothing was too much trouble and her care and attention to detail really made a difference. The rest of the team were just as impressive friendly, professional, and always a step ahead. Communication was smooth throughout, the service felt truly personal, and the food and drinks were excellent. We also loved how private and peaceful everything felt it gave us space to really unwind. Honestly, we couldn’t recommend it more. I also have to mention that people from Thailand are sooooo welcoming and polite love everything about their position energy!

The rooms were always spotless, with prompt and precise housekeeping. Fresh towels were constantly available. The in-room service through the app chat was fast, easy, and extremely convenient.
I loved having access to both private and public pools, along with a gorgeous beach for swimming.

Just back from an 8day stay and had the most amazing time. The hotel is lovely and set in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. It’s a relatively small hotel so never felt busy and had a really relaxed atmosphere. It’s in a quiet part of the island, but only 10 min in a taxi to busier areas if you are looking for a night out. Wish I had booked a longer stay.

SAii Koh Samui Villas gave me one of the most peaceful and private stays I’ve had in a while. A big thank you to Khun Ink, who touched my heart with her care and attention throughout the stay—she made the experience feel extra personal and warm.
I stayed in a Deluxe Pool Villa, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and felt like my own little sanctuary. The garden surroundings gave off such a refreshing, tropical vibe, and I really appreciated the calm, adults-only atmosphere.
A short walk through the lush greenery led me to the beach club at Choengmon Beach, where the peaceful ocean view helped me fully relax. This place is perfect if you're looking for privacy, comfort, and truly heartfelt service.
