Ocean El Faro is an all-inclusive resort that provides a 24-hour service. The programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times).

Stay away! This is literally the worst resort with horrible customer service.
I am currently staying here with my family from Sunday-Friday and booked the privileged services. Day 1, arrived at 11am. I wasn't expecting an 11am check in but at least try to get us a room by 2pm since it states "early check in" on your website, not like there wasn't ANY rooms available! They made sure I waited until exactly 3pm.
I waited in the lobby, decided to get a drink, the bartenders ignored me! Literally! I was waiting to order, no one said anything, I asked one of them, they told I need to order on the other side of the bar, fine! I went on the other side and waited, ignored again! I spoke to 3 different people at that small bar in the lobby and finally got a drink.
Butler services!! Do not waste your money! They literally do the bare minimum. The entire privilege upgrade was a waste of money. My first night here, I couldn't book a dinner reservations, they told me until after 4pm that I needed to make reservations at 4pm. I was there since 11am and no one said anything??? Also, doesn't it state that the butler helped with reservations or at least giving us the correct information??
Food is horrible, especially room service! Not sure if they purposely add all that salt to get people to stop ordering. The worst!!!
Definitely would not recommend this hotel at all! Save your money!

I had the pleasure of being served by Juan Esteven at the main pool. From the moment I approached the pool, their welcoming demeanor and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a fantastic experience. Not only were they efficient and attentive, but they also took the time to engage in friendly conversation, making me feel like a valued guest. Their professionalism and warmth truly elevated my time at the resort, and I can't wait to return for another great service while I’m enjoying the pool. My cup was always full. Highly recommend!

The resort was very nice and there were so many activities everyday. The entertainment was very nice and the staff were very sweet. Marielys was very welcoming and had us participate in so many fun games by the pool side. The servers were also very accommodating as we were vegetarian. Lionel at the poolside restaurant ensured we had a very pleasant experience and was very nice to us. The pools were super clean and there were activities included.

This is a 5 star, but only if you're white or fair skinned. I'm brown canadian, and we were treated okay but we witnessed others being treated exceptionally. Kind of a bummer but life's not fair I guess.
Also, they checked me into the wrong room. When I tried to call them to tell them they said they don't have the room available even though I paid for it. Room service didn't answer my calls, guest services kept transferring me away and front desk just said not available when called. Next morning I go to the front desk and they had the room available and checked me into it right away. There was no restitution or compensation for the wrong room. I planned on going to the rooftop jacuzzi that night but nope.
I removed one star for each of those issues, but other than that the hotel is quite nice and well maintained.
If it weren't for the hint of racism I would have loved to return here on the privilege side. I doubt it's something the hotel can fix as it might be a deeper cultural issue.

Luis is the best server I’ve ever had. He made our dinner into one of the best I’ve ever had. He was very funny and nice and it felt like he was one of our friends from the moment he spoke to us. The food was also fantastic and came out in a quick manner. I will make sure to eat again at Dolce Vita during my trip.
