Was actually better than I expected. Carpets are badly stained and old but sheets and towels were clean, no bad odor in the room, shower was hot. Best of all was only less than 10 minute walk to Convention Center, no homeless or druggies around and I always felt safe as Paradise Blvd has consistent traffic. Staff was courteous and helpful, skip the breakfast buffet though, below average.

We were in town this weekend for the NAB convention and found the Mardi Gras conveniently close to the convention center. It was only a short walk! The hotel itself is a bit older but it was very comfortable and accommodating. The receptionists Greisy and Maggie were extremely helpful during check in, even holding our luggage while we waited for our room to be ready. Its very much affordable as well! I would definitely book at Mardi Gras for our next visit to Vegas!

Love staying here. Maria is so friendly. We look forward to seeing her every year. Breakfast is great. Once you start coming here, you will keep coming back. Went to a large hotel on strip the first year then we came the next year. Hands down love the more comfortable atmosphere Mardi Gras provides. Rooms are standard but always clean and roomy. I can honestly say I don't have one negative comment after all these years.

Rooms were prolly really nice in 1980 but are mediocre at best now. Don't expect to use your phone while in the room as the room we had was a dead zone and the complimentary wifi they had was a joke that couldn't load Facebook most of the time. The tv only had like 12 channels 6 of which are 24 hr news. Trying to get hot water in the shower was like preforming brain surgery in the precision you needed on the faucet. Even the hot tub in the pool are was barely warm.
As far as service goes we had to wait like 10 minutes just to check in because the person manning the desk just wasn't around and every time we either called the desk or tried to go up there to get something it was again a 5-10 min wait.
The only plus to this place is its cheap and it's location isn't half bad. You're a 5 minute walk from the monorail and about a 10 mminute from the convention center which is why we chose the place, but knowing about the monorail now I'd just stay somewhere else and take the monorail to and from the convention center.
All in all don't stay here unless you're desperate.

I was there during Superbowl weekend and it was affordable. But you absolutely get what you pay for.
The staff I interacted with was friendly.
If the rooms got a good deep cleaning, this could be almost 3 stars with the decent price and location. But the room and linen cleanliness made me a little uneasy.
Close to monorail and convention center
