HOTEL REALLY NEEDS TO BE UPDATED, GOOD SERVICE, GREAT LOCATION. I stayed in this hotel 2 separate nights in 2 different room types which both were outdated. Fixtures and furniture in the rooms are old and the rooms could have been a bit cleaner. The elevator in our building was out of order. And, at check-in our key reader wasn’t working so it took us a while to get in our room. If you’re coming to Jamaica for a romantic getaway or want to be in a modern hotel than this IS NOT the place. IT’S DEFINITELY NOT A “WOW” HOTEL. The food selection is limited and the authentic food was average at best. The good thing about this particular Holiday Inn is that sits right on the ocean and no room is too far from the beach. The Ocean View Suite is ground level and sits maybe 50-100 feet from the beach which is dope. If you stay here I would stay away from the standard rooms and pay the extra for the suite. I’m pretty sure this hotel does not meet the brand standard, just an FYI so don’t expect it to look like the newer Holiday Inn’s rooms. Even with its’ lower pricing, if this hotel doesn’t upgrade soon, then it won’t be able to compete with the more modern branded hotels and lodging experiences in the area.

Seems like a lot of people like this resort. I understand this is a cheaper resort. However, there are still certain things I expect (cleanliness, friendliness). I will say I prioritize cleanliness, and had higher expectations for hospitality/customer service. Inconsistent/poor communication during my booking, and check in experience. Im assuming the culture of customer service is different in Jamaica. This means that some staff come off cold, rude and in ***no rush at all***. Other staff members were kind. I’m also young-looking, and not white, so maybe that makes a difference 😂 But I will also say, I booked an excursion off the resort, and the staff there were amazing…..so maybe it’s a person or site specific thing….. Rooms need to be updated and probably deep cleaned. The shower didn’t drain properly. Water just starts pooling while you have a shower. Bathroom had grime and ?mold?. I did sleep comfortably. The AC is loud, but I liked having the white noise, so I slept well. It’s a very basic resort. Location is good. It doesn’t take long to get to the airport. Beach is nice. The water is shallow. The drinks were good. There was Jamaican food at the buffet, but not as much as I thought there would be. I booked this place because my family was staying here. But next time I go to Jamaica, I’m paying the extra money to go somewhere cleaner, more hospitable, and with more activities/entertainment.

First time in Jamaica and my family stayed here at the Holiday Inn. We absolutely loved it! The food, the atmosphere, the beach - everything about this place is breathtaking. There is entertainment throughout the day with games and performances, restaurants included (except the Japanese one) and a snack bar and a jerk hut on site. Also it is very kid friendly and my kid loved it here. Will definitely be coming back again!

Good place overall. Bathrooms on the scruffy side but rooms cleaned daily. Could do with a few more staff serving drinks or another bar along the beach as the beach is huge and walking to the bar was a mission and by time you got back to sit down the drink was warm. Need to serve bottled water as the water from machines tasted vile. Staff all friendly, Pool, beach and other areas all clean. Beach was amazing! Food pretty good. Jerk Hut was my number one for chicken. Location good. The most annoying thing was the people in canoes in the sea going up and down annoying you all day... felt like I was constantly hiding from them. They don't leave you alone and try scamming you into all sorts and don't understand the word no! Other than that would go back tomorrow!

29 of us visited this place, and the only good memory was about Shantoy Watson. She was extremely nice to me and my group. She made sure the check in process was smooth. She checked on us regularly. She's an amazing soul. The other staff was very rude. Don't even think about asking for a bottle of water. It's like you are begging. The food was HORRIBLE! There was no variety. The vegetables were bitter. The hot beverages were cold when we got them. The rooms are terrible! We had a terrible experience at the jerk spot. The male worker was very rude. The rooms and bathrooms were disgusting I will not visit this place again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
