The hotel is nicely situated in a central area that allows access to many of the sites, shopping, and entertainment. Compact room, but it was cozy and the bed comfortable. The halls smelled like weed, and the room was freezing. We had to turn the thermostat off completely to not freeze, but it would come on nonetheless.
The first night there we ordered a late night snack and juice from the espresso bar and I was violently sick all night into the early morning. My travel companion also felt ill, but not as bad as I.
The last night there we had dinner at the Bronze Owl and it was delicious, and we had great service. Overall some great and not so great experiences at the hotel.

Had a lovely two-night weekend stay here in July. The room was compact yet lovely and cozy. Everything was very clean and quiet (which is huge for me). The location was great for exploring and traveling in and out of Penn Station. This hotel wasn't cheap, esp. with added resort fees but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was okay with the extra fees. When you stay here, you must check out the ground floor cocktail bar The Bronze Owl. Will stay here again.

I was originally unhappy with my room. It wasn't what I expected, and there was also construction on the roof outside the window. I left a review as soon as I checked in last night, and this morning, the manager offered me a new room. Very positively surprised by the service and attentiveness. I don't like leaving bad reveiws and definitely didnt expected the offer of room change. The new room is everything and more than I was hoping for when booking. It's spacious, beautiful, lots of light, modern and view of the city. More than I expected. There is lots of room for my suitcase too. Very grateful and would 100% recommend this hotel. This kind of service is unusual and more important than any initial issue.

Stingy about check in time but other than that excellent service, clean comfortable small rooms . Excellent location great for a week or weekend of Madison Square Garden events and local shows. Early baggage and late baggage service was over the top, great. Coffee shop in lobby was excellent and convenient. Will stay again.

The rooms are old & outdated. The hallways and elevators smell badly of cigarettes & other things. The room was dusty. Some areas even had mold.
Being a Hilton honors member, we were upgraded automatically to a junior suite. We checked in the app the night before, but it didn’t make much of a difference for check in time??
The actual front staff has an attitude problem. Any questions asked are treated as if you are disturbing them.
Location is close to restaurants and stores.
