Had the best stay at Tamassa. The resort is lovely with amazing pools, beaches, free activities for the whole family and paid activities also. But the main reason we will be going back is for the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful, we just felt like we settled into the Tamassa community from the first night. The staff went above and beyond to make your stay special, memorable and relaxing.

Beautiful resort with lots of potential to be a successful 4⭐️ rating, to my disappointment I think it's over rated. Had a lovely vacation, with welcoming staff at our arrival. Huge amazing outdoors with nice garden and pools. Coming to the hotel room wasn't to bad. For a 4⭐️ establishment and for the price you pay "which is not cheap," it should be mint in all aspects. -Part of the room wall paint was cracked and vanity not very tidy. -Entertainment side can do better. -Poor hospitality and customer service inexistant (mainly in restaurant.) -Service very slow, have to chase after staff/department to have things done. There's clearly a lack of training for the staffs. Moreover not to mention we had an all inclusive package but we found than the drink menu was restricted/limited to only certain drinks and most of the time they don't have what you ask for. The room mini bar as well is poorly supply and refill; only with tea and 2 sachet coffee, 2 fizzy drink and 2 beer. No snacks, chocolate...... etc! Definitely won't miss the buffet. Yummy food but too much same same everyday. Fantastic burger truck. Have to review the 4⭐️ rating as it's not to the level standard. It can't be considered as a 4⭐️ resort. Overall was a good stay despite certain inconvenience.

Good value resort with everything you need for a pleasant beach side stay. We stayed on a half-board basis and the food was diverse and pretty good. The staff would benefit from some hospitality training, it feels like nobody really cares about the guests, and the animation team is the most passive I've ever seen.

We would like to mention a number of staff who stood out, particularly Chef Karan and his fantastic team, plus Avinesh, Avisha, Sabrina and Derek. The whole holiday experience from start to finish was wonderful, beautiful grounds, great seafront position, lovely food and happy, accommodating, friendly, smiling staff. It's very reassuring to constantly see management everywhere chatting and enquiring with holiday makers about their stay. I spoke with Nitish and Nishad regarding our wonderful experience. At first and reading some reviews we came with a lot of expectations and we were worried to be disappointed… but nothing at all ! It was a wonderful stay !! Everything was perfect. The resort is so beautiful and quiet, well maintained. Okay rooms are a bit old but they are clean, beautiful, spacious, and the service is high quality. We cannot recommend more this place !! The Mercado buffet was great! The serenity pool is a gem for people who want to enjoy the swimming pool in a quiet area. The only bad aspect is the Bleu Bar : okay the place is really cool but the service is really too long. They sometimes wait for the end of the happy hour to get your order. But otherwise we love every single moment and place of this hotel !

Stayed here for 5 days, rooms were good, weather was pleasant due to the cool breeze coming from the ocean. Various bar and restaurant options available within the resort. Chefs consider personal requests regarding different food preferences. The spa, sauna, swimming pool are also available here. A well maintained lawn, different type of birds all around you, heavenly oceans waves, luxurious room and amazing staff added to our wonderful experience!!

A remote resort hotel with a lot of amenities. The family rooms are great with bunk beds. With three pools, you never have to wait for a lounge chair, or you can take plenty of the ones located on the beach. Edgewater is the better restaurant but reservations can be hard to get at times. The service by the porter was top notch with arranging activities. Highly recommend a family vacation here.

All of the staff were super helpful, accommodating and very friendly, making the stay much better than it would’ve been otherwise. The resort itself is pretty rundown. We had termites and ants everywhere in our room and there was a leak in the window causing our room to flood one of the days. The bar chairs were filthy and the pool chairs were old metal things that needed to be replaced and were a bit of an eye sore on the beach. We opted for paying to stay at neighboring beach clubs that were much nicer. Edgewater cafes food was fine but the restaurant itself was also run down and lacked ambiance. There was trash in the front of the restaurant and they kept all of the kayaks and water equipment right next to the tables which was odd. We spent a day at the Plantation expecting a bit of a nicer experience but again this facility was extremely rundown and not well taken care of. As mentioned, the staff were awesome and I feel the resort has a lot of potential but it needs a major face lift and deep cleaning.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Diksha, whose warm and friendly demeanor set a positive tone for my stay. The check-in process was smooth, and I was immediately impressed by the size and spaciousness of the room. The bed was comfortable, and the overall layout was inviting. However, as I settled in, I noticed some areas that could use improvement. The bathroom tiles appeared aged and in need of replacement, which detracted from the otherwise modern feel of the room. Additionally, discovering a stained bedsheet and a stray hair upon pulling back the covers was disappointing and raised concerns about cleanliness standards. One standout feature of the resort was the innovative app available for guests. This convenient tool allowed me to request housekeeping services, explore the menu offerings, and access information about the resort’s amenities, including room service options. I must extend my gratitude for the complimentary cake, fruit basket, and sparkling wine provided for my anniversary. This thoughtful gesture was a highlight of my stay. However, I was disappointed to find the mini-bar empty upon arrival, and the exorbitant prices for refilling it were off-putting. This lack of stocked amenities detracted from the overall value of the stay. My dining experiences at the resort were mixed. While the live music at the Blue Bar on Saturday night provided a lively atmosphere, the service was slow, resulting in longer-than-expected wait times for drinks. The Mercado restaurant, however, was a disappointment. The food lacked flavor and variety, and the buffet offerings felt uninspired. The omlette station attendant seemed disinterested and failed to accommodate my request, while the pastry and dessert selection appeared stale. Similarly, the Edgewater restaurant’s a la carte menu left much to be desired. With limited options and lackluster dishes, the dining experience fell short of expectations for a 5-star resort. The lack of ambiance further diminished the overall dining experience. Unfortunately, the low point of my stay occurred on my last day during lunch at the Mercado restaurant. The pasta and white sauce were spoiled, resulting in sickness, vomiting and discomfort that persisted even after leaving the resort. Despite these shortcomings, I did appreciate the resort’s expansive swimming pool facilities, which provided a relaxing retreat during my stay.

Just spent 10 wonderful days here. Beautiful resort with fantastic food, staff and service. Nothing too much trouble. Great on check out got a room to shower in before we left. Our only negative which I must say has nothing to do with the resort but we were so disappointed in the ocean every day had a very strong current which you couldn’t swim in which we never saw on any reviews before we left such a shame. Definitely wouldn’t be suitable for children to go into. Had lovely restaurant Infinity Blue beautiful food but same menu every day but still amazing nevertheless. Amazing fillet steak. Beautiful resort spotlessly clean and amazing staff and service.

Paradise resort in a quiet and very beautiful corner of the island. It offers all the possible services, and it has a lot of activities already available within the all inclusive package. Food quality is good and the staff is very friendly. Ask for a wine tasting dinner in the cellar with the sommelier. It is totally worth. On the downside, I think the way they make you book activities and restaurant could be improved with the use of an App. It is very family oriented resort (the whole island kind of is). Nevertheless, they try to save some areas for adults only. The Heritage domain in general, golf courts included, is simply amazing.

It is a beautiful hotel. The room was great and always clean and tidy, the staff were all smiles and the views were spectacular. It is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The only thing that keeps the hotel getting the full 5 stars was due to service. The waiters and waitresses were a credit to the hotel, yet there were times when we were waiting too long for our drinks, or occasions where my drinks orders were forgotten altogether. But this is only one minor point and I will be staying there again.

Fantastic staff who can’t do enough for you and a wonderful well kept resort with plenty of activities for guests on the water and at the golf course. Rooms are a little dated and the facilities in them should be upgraded TV’s etc. The food in all of the restaurants we found to be bland. There was absolutely nothing exceptional on the all inclusive menu. The wine list also wasn’t extensive if you were all inclusive, nor was the bar, at £350 a day for a normal room, we found that a little disappointing. All things considered, the place and people are beautiful and there’s nothing to stop anyone exploring exploring the area, which is very easy to get round. The Golf course is exceptional and a new course has also recently been constructed. We were here in transit, on our way to New Zealand via Perth Australia, just five days of pure relaxation but it also has a reasonable Gym and bicycles if you want to maintain your fitness levels.

The SO Sofitel Hotel in Mauritius is a paradise come true! Away from the crowded tourist beaches, the dreamlike complex is surrounded by greenery and near by the sea! The open-plan design of the complex invites you to relax on the hotel's own beach. We had a suite with an outdoor shower and bathtub and a private terrace with sea view - highly recommended. As a hotel guest, you can hire kayaks, pedalos and snorkelling equipment from the boathouse right on the beach. The latter is an absolute must, as the coral reefs close to the beach are well worth seeing. But what definitely makes the stay so special is the hotel team. The service concept that prevails here is unrivalled. The entire staff is more than eager to fulfil your every wish and is on hand with help and advice for excursion tips! Thank you so much for making our stay in Mauritius unforgettable! Definitely 100% recommendation of this hotel!

Trip in June 2019, seaside villa with a private pool. The staff was very pleasant, and the rooms were clean. Some outdoor facilities could be renovated. Not 100% perfect for a Sofitel. High-quality spa and massage services, the management provided me with excellent hospitality, private tour of the gardens, champagne, cocktails, highly recommend.

We spent a lovely week at this paradise. Equipped with bungalows and villas with seaview one have the feeling of staying in the jungle while surrounded by luxury and great service. A la carte food in the restaurant offers Michelin - like experience. Amazing beach views where one can always hear the roar of the waves bumping into the reef deep in the ocean. Overall it exceeded our expectations.

Stay away from this incompetence of people. After my booking was confirmed, the hotel manager suddenly demanded three times the price a few days laters and threatened to cancel if I don't accept the tripple price. All 7 family members had already booked flights etc. It's an outrage to suddenly charge three times the price. No one answered to my messages and no accommodation from the hotel.

We love the resort, amazing staff everything is oriented. Positive items: Great welcoming staff, Variety of facility/activities to do: Cycling, tennis, golf, snorkeling, kit surf, quad, hiking,… Issues: 1- The best Dinner restaurants were fully booked!! Which is disappointing really as didn’t have the chance to try them. 2- No diving center their 3- we didn’t like C beach club restaurant morning staff 4- No Arabic Shower 5- we don’t like Savana restaurant (we went their because it was the only one available for dinner)

Exceptional service and beautiful villa. Amenities were top notch. Loved the infinity pool and excellent outdoor showers. The only negative was the weather did not coperate...🥲. Our experience was disappointing to say the least. Here are some details: - Our taxi brought us to Heritage Telfair - I knew this was incorrect for check in to The Villas, so I informed the driver and the guard at the security gate multiple times. They insisted we were in the right place so we were left at reception. Then we were told that we were in the wrong place and they would arrange a shuttle bus to take us to the right place. We waited over an hour for the shuttle to arrive (we asked multiple times what was happening, when it would arrive, and kept being assured it was on its way). Meanwhile our two young kids were very tired after our journey. - In the villa, each bedroom had a security safe. One of these was broken - this was known to hotel staff, but instead of fixing it, they told us to use a safe in another room. - Despite the website and hotel factsheet saying that all 4-bedroom villas have free use of 2 golf carts (which makes sense for 8 of us since each golf cart seats 4 people), we were informed that as our villa is “garden view” we only get 1 golf cart. This was not only an inconvenience relying on the shuttle buses for travelling between resorts, but also false advertising. Anyone reading the factsheet, please note it isn’t accurate! Then our golf cart wasn't charging, so we had to stop using it for a while to avoid getting stuck somewhere, until it was fixed. - I expected half board to include buffet breakfast and an option for buffet dinner, as with other resorts I've stayed at in Mauritius. This is not the case here. Breakfast is not a buffet. Dinner is at a choice of 3 restaurants, one of which offers a buffet on select (not all) nights. The food at Annabella’s was good quality, however service was sometimes good (thank you Lucie!), sometimes not: children's meals weren't served, we had to ask multiple times for steak knives (meanwhile our steaks went cold), our drinks order was forgotten. - Guests at Heritage The Villas are treated as second-class citizens compared to “real” guests at the Heritage resorts (Telfair and Awali). There was a sense that we’re not considered as important as other hotel guests, and we had to specifically request things that others get by default, such as beach towels or kids club bags. - The worst thing to happen was my breakfast at C Beach Club. I ordered a Bisou Bowl, which consisted of fruit, yoghurt, oats, honey, and surprisingly a piece of glass!!! I chewed a mouthful of food, it crunched, and I spat out pieces of glass. Not only was this dangerous and worrying (especially if one of the children had received this bowl), but the response was disappointing. No apologies, or reassurance that this wouldn’t happen again. They just took my bowl away and I was left to search for the toilet to rinse the glass out of my mouth. Luckily I wasn’t injured, but it could have been a lot worse. Avoid C Beach Club!! The service was terrible throughout our stay - staff are abrupt, rude, get orders incorrect, forget things you've ordered. - While checking out, we were accused of scratching the golf cart. Luckily there had been an assessment done when we arrived that stated there were existing scratches, but staff assuming we had done this was uncalled for. They had to call their mechanics to confirm the state of the golf cart before they would let us leave, while we waited over half an hour to checkout. There were *some* good experiences. Khushboo and Brando were staff members that were helpful and kind to us. The villa is nice - 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, small pool, living room, well equipped kitchen, all very clean. However, not all bedrooms have a 40-inch tv, as advertised, so another thing to note if this is important to you. Wi-Fi is not great - it cuts out a lot, and can't cope with multiple devices. There was also a wasp problem! I wouldn't stay here again - there are plenty of other resorts in this area that are cheaper, offer better service and better food (according to relatives who were staying in another resort nearby). Please find somewhere else to stay.

I stayed at Heritage Le Telfair on my first day in Mauritius and had the best night ever. Both dinner and breakfast were fresh and excellent. The hotel grounds are beautiful and lovely to walk around. I am especially thankful to the concierge, Mokshada. She helped with the helicopter tour and the booking at Heritage Golf Course. Even though the helicopter tour had to be rescheduled due to weather conditions, she provided solutions until the end, helping create an unforgettable experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Heritage Telfair. From start to finish it was absolutely perfect. Great room, amazing pools, wonderful variety of restaurants and great range of activities. The staff are second to none. Every single 1 of them courteous, kind, friendly and helpful. Our private concierge Priscilla was brilliant and also special shout outs to Michael who gave us a great family bike tour and Mokshada who helped arrange some activities prior to travel. We tried almost every restaurant and many of them had special shows to make for a truly remarkable experience. Will be back!

Le Telfair is my favourite hotel on the island and our weekend stay confirmed the sentiment. We were welcomed by friendly and familiar faces and our stay felt like home from home with the luxury of the hotel. Top compliments to Laurent, the sommelier, to the concierge team as a whole for making it so simple for us to find our bags and look after our car, and also to our good friend, Dominic, the GM! The food was excellent, we managed to have two rounds of golf and everything went super well! Many thanks to all!!

Lovely hotel and resort. This is a colonial style hotel with lovely pools and a nice beach (although the beach is very shallow so not great for swimming). Staff are very welcoming. Our deluxe sea view room was superb. Dining options on half board are a bit limited - the buffet has many options but not as many as some other resorts we stayed in. Like many resorts you pay a lot for drinks and items not covered by half board so be prepared for that. The golf at heritage chateau and La reserva was great. One other thing to be aware of is that if you don’t like cats there are a few around the main restaurant which might be off putting for some people.
