Every member, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, was dedicated to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. A special mention goes to Manager Vanessa, whose commitment to going above and beyond left a lasting impression. Vanessa not only addressed our needs promptly but also took the initiative to make certain that every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The bartenders at the hotel deserve applause for their exceptional service. The combination of attentive service and the warm, welcoming demeanor of the staff made the overall experience truly memorable. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness was evident throughout the grounds. From the lobby to the outdoor spaces, everything was immaculate. I really do not understand all of these fantastic reviews, unless they are all people who paid for Diamond Club. I hold meetings for a living. My clients requested to meet on a beautiful Caribbean island. Did some looking around and we decided to go to Antigua. We have had meetings on other island and pretty much knew what to expect. From the time the clients started to book their rooms I knew this was going to be a problem. Let me start by saying that the people who work at the Royalton, for the most part, are all very nice, friendly and accommodating. My negative comments are the overall lack of management direction of the people. Communication is non existent. Follow-up? What's that?! The whole diamond club nonsense just makes half of the people, second class. I brought over 30 people there with their families, they stayed an average of 5 nights. So, 150 room nights at not an inexpensive place by any stretch and you cant book a restaurant, because not everyone in my group opted for the Diamond nonsense. Oh, and acknowledgment of Bonvoy status? NONE. Nice place, nice beach, nice people, horrible management. Do not go there with a group. Waited hours for my room. Then it was wrong. Still waiting for a copy of my hotel bill and the copies of the charges for events weeks after. Emails, phone calls, none returned. Needed a projector screen as stated in the contract. Nope. None on the island was the answer! Nonsense.

Honest family review. This is a five star location, the beach and bay are beautiful but it’s not worth the money. If you’re not diamond club you’ll have trouble eating at the main restaurants until 8:30pm. The restaurants open at 6:00pm, we were not diamond club so made sure to arrive as it opened and were still turned away. The rooms are small and basic. We had to ask for a cot as the pull out was not big enough for our kids. Areas of the resort are unkept. Seaweed washed onto the beach and wasn’t cleared the entire week we stayed. Don’t recommend coming here.

TLDR: The resort location is great, Diamond Club is essential, and the butlers make the experience. We had a great welcome experience with pickup from the taxi drop off with a full tour of the resort including pulling up to the beach. We arrived a little early so our room wasn’t ready but the staff in the diamond club lounge was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable in the mean time. We were then introduced to our butlers Paul and Shandell, both who I must say really made our stay worry free and were attentive to any of our requests. We were shown to our room which was decorated with flowers on the bed, congratulatory champagne and some more flowers on the counter. A nice touch for our honeymoon. We booked the “Luxury Swim Out Diamond, All-Inclusive, Club lounge access, Junior Suite” through the Marriott Website and were not disappointed. We had the first room on the west side of the hotel with extra privacy with only one room next to us and bushes blocking the other side of the pool. Many reviews talk about long wait times at the restaurants, pool side, and for room service. We didn’t experience that but I would attribute a lot of it to the diamond club experience. Our dinners were booked with our butler so we never had to wait in line to enter the restaurant. Our meals also never took longer than 15 mins to come out, but temper that with how early your server took your order. We always booked around 6-7pm before many big parties came in. This also gave us time if we were still hungry to pop in to the buffet or score later in the night. I read other reviews complaining about bugs but remember that this is in the Caribbean and most areas are open air so you’ll get bugs no matter where you go if you’re outdoors. It never bothered us as I’ve seen worse in New York City. Pool side by the beach diamond club has two bars you can go to for drinks while the general rooms only have the swim up bar. You also have attendants at the beach on the diamond club side that will check in if you need any drinks. We brought our own 20oz Stanley tumblers which helped the drinks stay cool and felt more sanitary than the way they were cleaning the cups. Bartenders were more than happy to fill our tumblers and they were always filled to the brim. Room Service could be hit or miss based on when you order. They have a change of shift at 11pm, so if you’re ordering around then you may have a longer wait time. We had most of our orders delivered within 20minutes. Our butlers Paul and Shandell checked in on us multiple times daily wherever we were, whether it be at the beach, at a restaurant, or at our room. They brought us snacks, dessert, made sure we always had drinks and were having a great time. We chose a bottle of Bacardi as our complimentary weekly bottle which was delivered to our room the night of our arrival as well. Paul and Shandell ensured we had the right reservations and also set up the taxi for our departure. Overall a wonderful experience for our Honeymoon and would recommend this resort to anyone as long as you get the diamond club.

I had such a wonderful time at the Royalton in December, staying with my siblings. The diamond swim out room was pristine, and the resort had such a warm, family-friendly vibe. What stood out was the convenience of ordering virtually anything through our smart TV, from delicious meals to a range of pillows, all complimentary for Diamond Club members. Although the room’s swim out pool was cold for our liking, the beach was an absolute paradise, beautifully maintained with crystal-clear waters. I will admit, however, there was a bit of a struggle finding enough beach chairs for Diamond Club guests at the beach. People would reserve them early with towels, sometimes leaving us hunting for seats around the pool area before heading to the beach. However, our experience was made even better by the fantastic service from Maxwell and Sharlene, our wonderful butlers. They were so accommodating, arranging another bed for us in our room, delivering fries to the beach when we got hungry, sorting all out dinner reservations, and even surprising us with adorable Antigua tote bags for our excursions. I highly recommend asking for Maxwell and Sharlene during your stay, they truly made it special! I also have to give credit to Tashia for being fantastic at booking excursions. She was incredibly helpful and friendly, setting us up with a fantastic stingray tour that we loved! Overall, our stay at the Royalton was lovely, and I'm already looking forward to another enjoyable visit hopefully soon!

Booked to stay there in mid-late April. Was told due to construction falling behind our reservation would be cancelled. Royalton offered to move us to their other resort on island which is NOT adults only and is older. When asked if a discount was possible I was basically ignored and told my room would be refunded. It seems as though customer service/accommodating a returning customer is not something Royalton teaches it’s employees. This was supposed to be my honeymoon I’ll be taking my business to one of the many other resorts in Antigua

This is a beautiful resort with lovely staff and private beaches. The food in all the restaurants is absolutely delicious, very well impressed. They keep the place spotless clean. It's lovely to lay out on the beach and the staff take your drinks order and deliver to you. The ocean is warm and the pools are refreshing to dip into. Id recommend bringing a few US dollars for tipping although it's not expected of you, it's a nice way to say thank you to the staff for wonderful service. This place really offers a luxurious service. Highly recommended. Tip, bring earplugs for sleep, the crickets are a different level here!!

My wife and I didn't stay here but wanted to dine at the restaurant, The Cove on April 30th, 2024. I've tried calling many times but was not able to connect with anybody at the restaurant so we decided to drive over and see. The security guard was really nice, connected to the restaurant and was patient. I'm not sure why connecting to the restaurant and asking if there was any availability at 6pm took 15mins, but we were turned away stating they were "fully booked". I find it hard to believe or they just don't have outsiders dine-in if you do not stay at the resort. April is a slow season.

The service at the Blue Waters is exceptional, this includes the restaurants, bars and housekeeping. May I thank Karen who welcomed us when we arrived and checked up on us during our stay, Lauren, Tremaine, Stephan and Juliet who were simply amazing. Unfortunately, there were areas of the beach which require more cleaning. I was very frustrated that in our 7 night stay, families were waking up early, I heard before 6am and placing towels on the sunloungers for their entire family. After our breakfast, my sister and I could never find a spot on the beach or near the pools. This was very disappointing, as a result it is very unlikely we will return. This is such a shame as we enjoyed most of the food, the staff and the entertainment. This resort is definitely more geared for families with children.

My husband surprised me for my milestone birthday and took me to Blue Water in Antigua. The hotel ground is beautiful and the villas feels very private and each standing villa had their own pool which was a treat so we often had the pool to ourselves . The staff is great. It’s beautiful white sand and lovely crystal-clear water. The food options were great

I don’t think this is a 5 star hotel in my opinion. The Pros: staff is incredibly nice, scenery on the resort is beautiful. Cons: food is awful! My husband ended up getting food poisoning, but the other nights we weren’t impressed either. I think food is huge as it relates to a high end hotel so overall was quite disappointed. We will not be returning.

This place is magical. Our second stay at a Sandals and like the other (Barbados) it did not disappoint. The food is incredible! Service is second to none, atmosphere is magical and the grounds are beautiful. Views off a postcard. There's plenty of places to find somewhere to sit. I just can't say enough about this resort as a company. They really know how to make you feel welcome. There is nothing left to desire. We brought our entire family with us this time (8 of us) and we all had the time of our lives. There are employees everywhere buzzing around like bees, tending to the gardens, checking on guests and smiling. We booked two more stays at Sandals for next two seasons and cant wait!

Would've given 5 stars for service but for the below: Although most staff were friendly, a few were noticeably sullen. Also, be sure to bring your own hair dryer! The one in the room was completely useless, as were the touted benefits of pre-check-in to your room. We were made to wait in the lobby anyway by a condescending young woman and asked to leave our carry-on luggage in the lobby. After finally being escorted to our rooms after having sat in the lobby for at least half an hour, our luggage wasn't in our room, and repeated calls down to the desk did not help. I finally went down and got our carry-on luggage (which we had specifically used to avoid having to wait for our luggage) myself. Seems part of the wait was meant to ensure the spa staff had a go at you to try to get you to book with them. On top of that, spa staff walked around the pool every day to ask you to book. Not relaxing. Cat poop was left on a pool beach chair for at least 3 days. Our room was very clean, but the hallway we used to go up and down the stairs near our room was not cleaned for a whole week. Food was very good and grounds overall quite beautiful. The men working the daily snorkeling excursions were wonderful.

This resort is really pretty. Right on the beach so the walk was not far. All restaurants and pools were close to rooms. Seems like someone was walking the halls in the evening every night in case we needed extra towels for rooms. For all all-inclusive resort the food at all restaurants were very good. Joy and Marie at the med pool were so funny to our group. Shout out to Joy we wanted wings but kitchen closed early :( She tried to get us some and could not but at least took the time to call our room to let us know so that we were not waiting around to eat.

First time to a Sandals and it was very enjoyable, the service and staff were good , the food met our expectations but could have been a bit better. There is very limited night time entertainment and the resort was a ghost town but 930pm. The beach is lovely and the water calm and clean. The resort itself could use some updates , better lighting in the bathroom and more bottled water in the rooms. I would probably try another Sandals before I go back here. All in all decent vacation.

We had been to a Sandals before and wanted to try another Sandals. We loved it in every way. Resort was clean and food was great. Location was good and resort was full but did not feel like it. Coming from a customer service back ground and trained with the best, Disney, Carlton Ritz, Lexus ect, I experienced good service. If I can make a few suggestions. All the staff need to make eye contact first and greet the guest first, not the other way around. Each morning the tall lady helping rake the beach, her employee was arguing with her. The guests should not hear this. The sushi restaurant was our favourite. The house cleaning staff doing the rooms did a great job each day. Next time I will try and stay 10 days. Not long enough.

Rooms were excellent, beautifully situated right next to the beach. Location very good, with beautifully kept gardens. The opportunities to hire a boat or go snorkeling were prohibitively expensive and totally unreasonable in price.The staff are lovely but communication at all levels is very hit and miss. Service we paid for would come one day but not the next. The Italian restaurant by the pool was really poor. I don't think the chef had any idea of what Italian food might look like.When I complained about my meal I was met with complete indifference. I think the management needs to get a grip and turn a potentially lovely resort into a great one.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. Lovely welcome to the hotel and organisation of pick-up and fast track at the airport. Suites are large and spacious and have good amenities, but could use a little update. Restaurant staff were attentive and quick and so was the food. Food was overall at a good level. Beach is calm wonderful, and you can order food and drinks to your sun-beds, but you may have to find a member of staff. Overall worthy of 5 stars and LHW. Would recommend and would return without hesitation.

The staff at the resort were fantastic. Jamol, Georgier were exceptional and really made my kids feel at home. The beach is magical. Everyone is kind. The kids club was engaging for my kids (3,5). There are sand toys available at the beach so need to bring them. Nice mix of adult and kids amenities, but not saturated in kids focused stuff where it’s overwhelming or in your face. I would come back. Love the vibe of the people at the resort and the whole island.

We decided to treat ourselves for my birthday, and booked.a Day Pass. $156 per person. Fair price if it was a real 5* hotel, that’s what we thought. The true is that this place is barely a 4* hotel. Sad saying this. The location is amazing, nature is all around and the beach is breathtaking. Can’t say the same for the property itself and the services. The place is dated and the service lack of professionalism. Not attentive or knowledgeable at all. We couldn’t order a drink from the sun-bed, as no beach attendants could be found. When questioned at the bar, the answer we got was to ask at the beach attendant (hilarious). Beside the water sports not available due to the weather conditions there was nothing else to do. The food was mediocre, not what you except from a 5* hotel, and the service was even worse. Nice people don’t get me wrong, just not up to the level (they didn’t even know what Champagne is…). We also had an afternoon tea on the beach.. yes 2 dry sandwiches and 2 dry pastry.. When you pay a high rate you except high standards.as simple as that. We both work in a 5* properties, and I never left a review myself, but this time I had to. The photos, and the advertising are misleading, and that’s not fair! This is a pure feedback, not an offence!

A total dive where few things work, noisy as can be, biting bugs in mattress I'm still trying to recover from. Very run down cottage (we stayed at Spice). Think Marco is planning on selling it to some big developer, so does not give a hoot about this place. Seriously, look elsewhere. Think the good reviews are all paid. My review is real.

Beautiful Caribbean style cottages with a breathtaking sea view and constant gentle breeze. The host is kind and helpful. Bath toiletries and kitchen items are provided. If you're cooking, you only need to purchase food ingredients, as a variety of seasonings, olive oil, vinegar, tea, coffee, even paper towels are on hand. The host's attention to detail is phenomenal. Be prepared to walk up a steep driveway and several steps, but that's just the added benefit of exercise. A recommended stay!

Back again once again at the Cottages, I believe for our 5th visit to the beautiful island of Antigua. Always a consistent experience; a well-kept and -appointed, somewhat secluded spot. The beauty of the location is it's only minutes from the port area of St. John's, so you're not far from things you need. Car optional if you don't mind a bit of walking and/or using public transit. Galley Bay Beach was red-flagged every day this time, and there are no lounge chairs to use, so hint: bring a hammock! Marco takes great care of us time and time again.

It's literally an easy 5 minute walk to our 2nd favorite beach on Antigua. If you are looking for a five-star resort, then this is not your place. If you are seaking out a secluded place that is 15 minutes from St. Jonh's then tis is not to be missed!

We come to these cottages year after year. The beach is a 5 minute hike but I'd rather sit in my private tropical paradise anyway. Well appointed kitchen so we cook our own breakfasts and some dinners. We have stayed in them all. Spice this year. Propane bbq for grilling. Decent grocery store 10 minutes away so you don't have to drive in the hell of St. John's!

Loved this resort !! My husband and I came here to celebrate our two year anniversary and we had the best time ! The only reason why I didn’t give this resort 5 stars is because I was expecting more hammocks around the property and I was hoping the pool was heated. We also had a slight hiccup with our gazebo dinner where it was missing a course and our chef wasn’t made aware of us not eating pork and was brought out a pork dish. The resort did offer a discount which was fine! Also we booked the boat tour, but the staff wasn’t made aware of us coming till we got there at 8:45 so they had to quickly make us lunch which also ended up having pork and we weren’t able to eat. Overall The beach is absolutely beautiful! The staff was 10/10! The light house restaurant was right across our villa and the food was Spectacular!! We were a 3 minute walk from devils bridge so that was amazing to see! The property so beautiful and well kept! There is also water sports available on the property!! Loved this resort ! And would return with the family! Oh our room also had the best bathroom!!! The shower was huge and they had a wonderful vanity so I could get ready. We also loved the game room and rum Tasting bar which had some great games to play after our evening was over! NOT TO MENTION THE SPA is to die for, Marilyn and Elizabeth gave me and my husband a massage one day, a wrap a massage a facial, a scrub, head massage the next, and a 90 Minute the following day !! To say the least we loved their expertise in massage skills!!

We had an amazing stay at Hammock Cove. We stayed 9 days, 8 nights. It's definitely on the pricier side with the inclusive fee, but we loved our stay. This property boasts 40-something villas each with private plunge pools. There are two types: waterfront (closest to the water) and waterview. There is food availability 24/7 and room service. There are 2 restaurants and several bars.  Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. There is wifi throughout the resort. Everyday, we would hit the gym, have room-service breakfast, use some type of water feature (main pool, beach, private villa plunge pool), play pickleball, and eat dinner. One day we did one excursion: the stingray and tortoise encounters. There are others we did not do, like the jeep safaris, calypso cat boat charters, etc. GYM The gym is one of the best gyms we've ever been to at a vacation resort. All the equipment is new. There are machines for chest, back, legs, arms, free weights, benches, a cable machine, treadmills, bikes, and a rower. We used the gym every morning. It's air conditioned. Plenty of water and towels. It's next to the Spa, which we didn't use, but has a lot of treatments, such as facials and massages. It's also next to the gift shop, which we also did not use. Beach The beach is very beautiful. At first it seems small, but there is plenty of room and never felt busy even though the hotel was quite full (likely since a lot of guests use the main pool and private villa pools). The ones who work on the beach are super nice and make sure you have water as well as drinks or food brought to your beach chairs. Julio is the absolute best!!!! What a hard worker, we loved him; he was always so cheerful and nice. Also great are Tashawna, Natalia, Chelsea, Eric, Tevin, Nashila, Hector, and others whose names I am forgetting (I apologize, but everyone was great!). They also service the main pool area and make sure you have water, food and drinks to order.Activities include taking a ride on the hobie cat, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, lounging on a circular raft (your drinks can be brought to you on the water!!), swimming, snorkeling.The beach also does some food activities at noon, such as oysters & bubbles, caviar & bubbles, seafood grill, BBQ, and others. Pool The main pool is a 3-tier infinity pool with several areas to lounge in. Plenty of towels. The water is so refreshing and the view is spectacular. The aforementioned individuals service the pool too. The pool itself is just stunning PickleballThere are 2 pickleball courts. We would play around 5 pm when the sun would not touch the courts. It was definitely a fun time. Cons Our room looked directly at the Verandah, the sister property. I presume the better view is near the Hammock Cove beach or closer to the Devil's Bridge area. Sometimes the Verandah had loud music at night. In between the 2 facilities, there is construction ongoing, which was loud during the day.I would have liked more snacks/foods for the minibar rather than just nuts. We have stayed at other similar resorts such as Nayara in Costa Rica which has similar villas and had a ton of snacks. However, Nayara isn't all-inclusive so I guess the upside is you can always order a light bite to the room at Hammock Cove. Overall: will go back!

Thank you to all the hotel staff that made our trip exceptional. Not a frequent all inclusive person as the experiences are usually sub par but that wasn’t the experience at Hammock and would definitely recommend Hammock as one of the best all inclusives. Not one request was too much for the team. The rooms with waterfront views are as good as the beachfront! Every room has its dip pool and extremely large rooms. Let’s talk about the food. All to order 24- hours. No buffet tables and everything was made to order and fresh. The breakfasts were fantastic and the dinners I didn’t think could get better. The tasting menu was exceptional. The only minor fault is the location. For people who want to travel around Antigua it’s just 30 mins away from other parts of the island. Renting a car was another easy thing the hotel was able to organize. This is only applicable those who want to get off the resort. The beach is small as its man made so getting off the resort to check out the magical beaches on the island is highly recommend.

We simply cannot rave about this place enough. While the cost is rather high compared to other, more budget-friendly adults-only all-inclusive resorts, we can certainly attest that the customer service, hospitality, quality, drink choices and food are beyond compare. From the moment you set foot on the property you can tell that the staff are on top of their game. Your information/accommodations are all prepped at the check-in time specified. There is no waiting in a lobby to check in at reception. Instead, you are escorted to the main lobby bar where the bartender asks your preference and makes a cocktail to your liking while your bags are whisked away to your villa. Your ambassador then meets you for a golf cart tour of the property before showing you to your villa. From there, anything you need is readily available or within an ambassador call away via your personal, resort-provided mobile phone. Need a different liquor or beer selection for your villa or food delivered? Simply call your ambassador. NEVER MISS OUT on a dinner at the Light House restaurant, the resort's own fine-dining locale. Each night features a different menu, and you will never leave hungry or disappointed. And the staff are absolutely outstanding! Everyone from the first bartender we met (Nigel) to the Calypso Cat crew serving food/drinks at the beach/pool, to Andre and Gabby at the lobby and rum bars, to Ilania (wine sommelier) to Marco (the chef)...too many to name/count. BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!

‘And relax’ Curtain Bluff is the perfect vacation stop. The Carribean is hard to top, but the cherry on the cake is always visiting this wonderful time-machine of a hotel, that somehow manages to make you feel instantly relaxed. If you’re looking at staying at one of the best hotels in Antigua, you will not be disappointed. It’s a high quality all-inclusive hotel that makes a huge effort and its private ownership stems a sophisticated approach to all of its guests and many friends.

My wife and I stayed here 4 nights on vacation and it was perfect. The rooms were clean and spacious. The service was great, professional and kind. The whole experience was hassle free from checking in, checking out and paying, to ordering taxis around the island and back to the airport. The best part was the location. The beachfront is gorgeous and so tranquil. The pools are nice and have incredible views. They also have a private island called prickly pear with free transfers from the lodge. The island is out of a movie. The waters are crystal clear, the bar has great food and drinks, and the beach is dazzlingly white. We spent two days just enjoying the island a world away from the busyness of normal life! Would definitely recommend!

Everything was perfect about this place. Honestly can't find anything bad about this place. From the room to the beach to the private island experience at Prickly Pear Island. What I loved most about this experience was how friendly all the staff members were. They seriously have to be some of the nicest people I have ever met. I wish I can write and talk about everyone, but there were so many of them that I can't remember each of their names. I hope they know who I am talking about if they read this but one memorable thing has to be when I got sunburnt and one of the staff members was nice enough to go across the street and cut some aloe for me. It was something small but so kind. Truly one of the most unique resorts I've ever been too and I've been to quite a few. This place will not disappoint.

Came here just the day, paid for access to property and amenities. It is a beautiful, modern resort. It was relaxing and quiet on a Friday, which made for a great setting to get some reading and work done. Shout out to Ishmal for the friendly service! All the staff i interacted with were very helpful and friendly.

I went for the day so can't comment on the rooms but judging by the rest of the hotel I'm sure they would be stunning, pool area and food we're great and a trip to prickly pear Island topped off a fabulous day, hugely recommend.
