Great hotel with fantastic facilities.
Rooms are clean and comfortable but a little on the dated side.
The staff were all fantastic! Very attentive and helpful. They even have a medical clinic where I could take my son when he was sick.
The resort is huge and very popular with tourists, subsequently the facilities are always very busy. Especially the breakfast in Cafe Tatu.
Location wise, it is out of town but you could easily get a Grab ride there.

Beautiful hotel and location on the beach enjoying views of the beach and the islands beyond.
The hotel has its own private white sand beach with lounges and umbrellas. Next to the beach you can find the sunset bar which is a perfect location to watch the setting sun.
The grounds are well maintained with a swimming pool, chip and put golf and gardens.
Also on the grounds is the marina were you can take trips out to the surrounding islands to enjoy the tropics snorkeling and diving.
Friendly staff who are always willing to assist.

My recent stay at Shangri-La Hotel in Kota Kinabalu was truly unforgettable. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff who made sure that every detail of my stay was attended to with care. The room itself was spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with all the amenities one could wish for to ensure a comfortable stay. The sea view from my room added an extra layer of enchantment, with its breathtaking view and refreshing sea breezes.
The hotel’s facilities were equally impressive, featuring a stunning infinity pool overlooking the sea, a well- appointed gym, and a delightful kid- friendly pool with slides. However, it’s worth mentioning that we found the breakfast options to be somewhat repetitive over the course of four- day stay.
We were impressed with the housekeepers who keep our room clean daily. Additionally, they fold an elephant with towel and wrote some warm greeting notes to cheer up our days. My girl really happy to see it.
In conclusion, from the impeccable service to the luxurious accommodation and captivating surroundings, every aspect of my vacation surpassed my expectations. I am eagerly looking forward to returning to this idyllic retreat in the heart of Borneo.

Went here to enjoy dinner and view sunset and skyline views at night along the edge of the water. The outdoor restaurant had good burgers and fries and was not overly crowed after sunset. Just wish the water was cleaner, seeing all the trash did ruin some of the ambiance. There was also shows that occurred at night that was a nice bonus.
Did not stay here, but grounds looked wonderful and full of family activities, would definitely consider visiting here again.
