Hamdi Kaya

A beautiful island hotel consisting of 3 small islands. Only one of the islands is inhabited. Lunch is served on Wednesdays on one of the other two islands. It has a beautiful sea and a lagoon. Be careful not to harm the stingrays while walking in the sea, this is also important for your own health! Please do not harm the corals! Sometimes you can also see harmless sharks. It is also a good spot for diving, you can swim with sharks. The hotel's rooms are well designed and comfortable. Swinging in a hammock is very relaxing in the evenings. Food was diverse and delicious. The staff were respectful and friendly. You can reach here by boat from Male in about 1 hour.

It's a stunning resort with two nearby picnic islands filled with birds. A great spot for snorkeling, swimming, and various water activities like kayaking. However, there is some observed lag in customer service.

The island itself is a beautiful gem in the middle of the ocean. There is crystal clear water everywhere, clean sandy entrance to the water and, cherry on top, an uninhabited island withing a walking distance where you can chill and relax. The food was a la carte and it was delicious, we enjoyed it greatly. Unfortunately, we had a very upsetting situation. The night before the departure we found out that the transfer was not included neither organized for us. Imagine our shock, when they told us we had to pay around $900 extra for the transport. The most disappointing thing was that the sum was not mentioned during the booking, the check it or at any time. Nothing was organized and no one cared. The manager took an hour to come talk to us (with literally 20 guests occupancy at the hotel) and could not explain why this happened. Clearly, the front office staff, including the manager did not care. The last night was ruined, we went through a great deal of stress trying to fix things (let alone the money loss). I couldn't sleep all night. The next morning, when we were literally on the boat for departure, they ran to us and said we had to pay the green tax (why could you not include that at the beginning?). Nevertheless, fifteen minutes later they sent a message saying it was not necessary. The management has to understand that people come from far away, pay a lot of money (I know it is not the most expensive resort but still it costs a fortune) and expect be having a relaxing time, not a constant problem solving. The Maldives are very beautiful but a huge part of why people come there from all over the world is because of the service. In the case of this resort, the management gets zero stars. We won't return and won't recommend anyone to go there, which is a pity because cause the island itself could be paradise.

The resort staff picked us up from the airport, they were very friendly and everything went smoothly. During our stay we got hit by the sun and were ill for a few days. They took very good care of us and made sure we were comfortable and happy. Thanks to everyone in this regard. The food was great and healthy. There were many activities to do and many things to discover. We caught the full moon days and had the opportunity to watch the low tide which continued into the early hours of the morning. The room was always very clean and there were nice bed decorations several times during our stay. The island was clean and very well maintained. We could walk barefoot anywhere. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Had a wonderful experience for a week's stay. Did reef snorkeling and swimming with dolphin with the dive centre coaches who were very fun people. This island is very close to nature state, walking on sand everywhere and the trees provide the shades. Sunrise and sunset and moonrise can all be seen here. The villas were maintained the same state as it was built over 30 years ago, yet the in room facilities are up to date (large TV, air condition, mini bar, WiFi around the island). There are 2 virgin islands across to walk/kayak/paddle board over to enjoy more nature. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beach is very clean. Last but most important, the food here is my greatest delight. I looked forward to every single meal time. Good buffet variety, delicious and cultural food, esp their very good pastries. Thank you, Rihiveli staff, for making this wonderful experience happen!
