The hotel is ideally located near the beachfront. You would just need to cross the road and you would already see the beach, few minutes walk and you’re already at the beachfront which has a wide spread of food stalls. As for the staff, they are very accommodating to requests and cheerfully greets whenever we pass by them. The customer experience is great. The facilities are good but still needs improvement. The flush seemed to not work well, residues can be observed even after a few flushes made and one of our rooms did not have a bidet. Doors for amenities also need signages as to not get broken due to confusion (slide, push, pull) and floor plans for evacuation needs to have “You Are Here” pin to avoid getting lost in case of emergencies. The pastries during breakfast is exceptional although I suggest that the french toast should be made to order because the quality reduces as time goes by. Overall, it is such a family-friendly resort with activities, facilities, and amenities that cater to kids and adults.

I'll state some facts: 1) the rooms and the building are very very basic. It should really be 3 star and not a 4 star. The establishment is on the older side. The rooms are having the pool and the garden . The entrances are in the back of the building. As you walk along the passage to your room ,you can smell sewer prominently. 2) the water pressure in the bathroom shower is not good. 3)toilet fittings are pretty old has marks,and bowl is not clean. I had rooms service everyday,still it was not completely clean and white. It could be the quality of the water that the flush uses 4) the elevator is very very small. Probably 4 adults at once can fit in it. They use the same elevator for service and for the guests. It is in the very dimly light corner of the building and is dirty. 5) the electric sockets are okay. But I had my power of the room go off three times.. as if the switch board just turned off for overloading. I used two plug points to charge my phone and my baby's tab. But it was a art to have the room go completely dark. 6) breakfast is fantastic. Service people are amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. 7) I had three rooms with them. Two of my rooms were not ready when. I checked in. I had elderly parents ,one with a wheelchair. And I had to wait almost 2 hours before the room was ready. 8)the pool and common area is good. I'll mention the the lobby is not air-conditioned. So it gets very hot and stuffy when you walk in. The restaurant is not air-conditioned either. 9) if you order room service, please know that it will take a while. I had the food delivered pretty quickly only once so far. 10) beach is very very close. Literally across the street. That is a huge plus point. 11) the hotel is kid friendly. Lots of activities for kids.

From the minute we walked into the Holiday Inn Surin Beach we were greeted with big warm smiles from all the staff. Myself and my 12yo son were given a complimentary juice on check in which took no more than 5mins! We were blown away with the amenities just from the resort lobby! Its own lolly shop, stop and go shop, I scream shop and many others to name! We were then taken to our room (we were over an hour early from check-in but this was absolutely no problem at all), our room with nice and clean and had everything we needed with a great view of the pool. The pool features 2 big water slides which had kept my son entertained for hours, not to mention the daily pool activities that the amazing staff put on for the kids! This is honestly the best family resort and nothing is too big or small for the staff, they even make the effort and speak with the kids and parents. Breakfast buffet, such great choices and everything is cooked fresh and on high rotation! There were plenty of choices to accommodate everyone! And the chef is more than happy to make something up for you if you have dietary requirements! We did eat at the onsite restaurant for dinner and the meals again were amazing, tasty and full of flavour and left you wanting more! Aiedg (Allan), would always go out of his way daily to check everything was okay and if we needed anything and always had a smile on his face, my son loved talking with him. The beach is literally across the road, a couple minutes walk and you are met with clear waters and beautiful soft white sand, Surin Beach really is amazing! Quite a few times we would come back to our room and find staff had left us little treats on our bed from little cakes to fresh fruit baskets! My son even said “mum, it’s nice to feel like we are cared about”, all because of the amazing effort each and every member at this resort had put in to making us feel so welcome. 100% we would not hesitate to come back here, infact out of all 3 resorts we stayed at this trip, this would be our most favourite! To all the staff, thank you for making us feel so welcome on the last leg of our journey, our time here has been nothing short of amazing and it’s a great high to be leaving with!

We are currently staying at this great resort a few hundred metres from Surin Beach. We have had an excellent experience from the amazing welcoming reception staff, great room, amazing pool and great gardens. I want to make a special mention to the Food and Beverage manager Aieng and his team Poly, June and Man who have taken exceptional care of us on our last full day that we chose to spend the entire day relaxing by the pool and at Joe Kool’s pool bar. I highly recommend the mango cocktail that Aieng made for us. Thank you everyone, I hope to see you again soon.
