JC Kevin Sathorn Bangkok Hotel

We stayed in the same building or hotel when it used to be the Anantara Sathorn hotel in 2019, and we loved it a lot. It has now been changed, and the hotel is called J C Kevin with a change in management. However, we found the quality of rooms to be almost the same as they have not changed anything there, and we loved staying there this time as well. The only thing that let it down was the quality and selection of the breakfast, which was not up to expectations but was just acceptable. Overall, it was a good stay; the staff were polite and helpful as well. The good thing this time was that we paid around £55 for a one-bedroom suite with a balcony, compared to £90 in May 2019 for the same room. The room was very spacious with a separate living room with a kitchen sink, two televisions, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The living room also had a medium-sized dining table with chairs and a sofa. Additionally, the bathroom was huge. No complaints with the rooms, 5/5.

The hotel is good from a far but far from good. The syline suit rooms are very spacious. Great for families and for central Bamgkok the views from the upper floors 29 up is beautiful as are the views from the zoom bar. Pool is lovely and cool, surprisingly refreshing for those hot humid Bangkok days. Staff are friendly and when we needed to get something fixed, like our shower didn't work, the service guys were very quick. Unfortunately the hotel is past its prime and the housekeeping is poor with surfaces left unclean, windows not wiped, just dirty, including mould on walls. The furnishings in our room on 29th floor were very worse for wear. The breakfast is very average. The restaurant were we had dinner was the worst and most expensive meal we had in Thailand. The location is far from most things but only about 20mins to Chinatown. Shame, with a refurbishment this once great hotel could be great again. However, it is not getting the love and attention it needs.

I decided to stay at this hotel for 3 days in Bangkok with my husband and two children. First, I looked at the Google rating, so I considered that the room condition was very old. As soon as I checked in, the 6- and 8-year-old kids went around the room saying it was spacious, so they liked it, and immediately got in the bathtub and enjoyed the bath. My husband and I looked around the room and felt that the condition was not as good as Google said. The city view from the 19th floor was acceptable. Looking at the water in the bathtub, the water quality here is not good either. At the time of check-in, the front desk staff was very friendly, and the staff who carried the luggage was also friendly. When I asked to change the water filter in the shower, they sent a housekeeping staff and they responded kindly. Thank you.

Visited here for the first leg of our Thailand holiday. We were upgraded to a 2 bed suite, which was lovely as we arrived way before we could check in. The room was huge & very spacious but definitely not a 5 star, the bathroom was quite dirty, panels were broken, there was also a horrible smell. We were only staying 2 nights so it didn’t matter. The pool was lovely & clean. Prices were very expensive compared to Bangkok & you get charged service charge even for a croissant! Overall it was fine, the staff were OK but some looked put out when you asked for anything. It was quite out of the way, so we found ourselves getting Grabs/ TukTuk/ SkyTrain. Probably a lot better in Bangkok for similar price

Room is good. Good view from the room. Easily accessible to the main tourist spots. The shower was broken but still can use.
