We had a great stay at this hotel. While it may seem a little dated, it was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been to. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the people who hold your bags for you. We were able to check in early when we arrived and it was a great price compared to other hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

New update: no further contact from management
Updates: No further communication from the hotel management besides a first email!!!!
We stayed for three nights here, mostly good experience until we found that we are missing $1700 from our suitcase that never left the room and could only be searched and accessed by the housing staff. Customer service have the audacity to point fingers at us saying we should have put it with the front desk when it is clearly an internal control issue and lack of training among the staffs. We deserve a proper answer, appreciated.

We stayed at this courtyard during a recent trip to NYC and were very pleased with the front desk staff, the hotel in general and the location.
Nothing fancy, but everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable, maid service was excellent. We felt super safe here and very welcomed.
Rooms in NYC are on the small side, but we chose a junior suite and had plenty of room for five of us. A junior suite here is equivalent to a standard double room elsewhere.
Front desk will store your luggage while you spend the day out and about in the city. Super convenient.
Located near the subway at Lexington and 53rd as well as close to many locally owned restaurants and bars that we enjoyed. We would stay here again.

Service wasn’t matching what other Marriott’s in Manhattan I’ve stayed in.We had the junior suite, which is the best room that they offered and to our surprise, carpets were dirty and stained with chewing gum residue, there was mold on the walls of the bathroom and house keeping staff kept trying to come in, despite having the Do Not Disturb sign placed on the door. I wasn’t satisfied with my experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They require some major improvements to deliver quality service to their guest.

I recently had a disappointing stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Manhattan, which was marred by high unexpected costs and misleading representations. Here's a summary of what happened:
Room Misrepresentation: The online images showed a room with three full beds for four adults. Upon arrival, we were provided two full beds and a pull-out couch, which was inadequate for our group.
Overpriced and Outdated: At a rate of $333 per night, I was shocked to find the room and especially the bathroom in a dated and unclean state, not reflecting the price or Marriott's standards.
Excessive and Separate Parking Fees: Apart from the room charges, I was billed an additional $280 for parking ($70 per night), which was charged separately. This brought my total expenditure to a staggering $1,133.22, far exceeding my initial expectations.
Billing Inconsistencies and Lack of Transparency: The initial bill presented at checkout was $507.39, but my credit card was later charged $853.22, without a detailed explanation or an updated receipt. This lack of transparency and the surprise charges were deeply unsettling.
Customer Service Issues: The checkout process appeared accommodating at first, with the staff backdating my checkout time. However, this seemed a facade, as I was later billed for additional costs without communication or justification.
Overall Disappointment and Advice: This experience at Marriott Courtyard was not just a letdown but also a warning for potential guests. The hidden costs, misleading room descriptions, and poor handling of billing issues are major red flags. I strongly advise looking for other accommodations in Manhattan to avoid these issues.
