I've stayed at a lot of budget hotels in Singapore. You have to expect a small room. In this case, it's 140 ft2. Actually larger than some hotels where you can barely shut the door to the bathroom/shower in one.
In this case there is some space to put bags on the ground and stretch a bit. Windows are inoperable, but all you need to do is turn on the AC system when you arrive. Look for the green light-
The pool is uncommon, and a gem. Warm and cool views of the taller surrounding buildings.
The room was clean and the service was snappy on the check in. Check out is a breeze-
I'll definitely keep it in mind for another trip. Again, it's a budget hotel. You have to pick what you need in accomodations.
While in Singapore for a short stay, I choose to have a cheap room and enjoy the city rather than a palace with no experience outside a palace- though there are plenty of amazing hotels to pick from.

I was given a room without a window, even though a standard room was booked through my agent. I was even made to pay for an upgrade facing a building’s wall! There were hairs in the room’s bathroom of my first room and hand towels were neither available, nor given to me when requested. Due to the constant slamming of doors on the 5th floor, i can hardly call this a good resting hotel. Very disappointed…Have you ever had any hotel room that does not have something as basic as a window?!? This was the beginning of my honeymoon on top of it all and no one cared to recognize this as well…

We recently stayed at the Ibis Budget and enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Great location (easy walking to lots of hawker markets, Chinatown, Merlion, Clarke Quay etc), really nice rooftop pool area and very friendly and welcoming staff.
Cons: Rooms are on the small side, the bathroom is a bit weird (shower is right next to the toilet and there is no curtain or barrier so the toilet gets completely wet when you shower), beds are very firm.
Overall a really good value hotel for the location and good if you are on a tighter budget or just staying for a few days

Room is small but quiet and comfortable. Can't expect much since this is a Ibis Budget. Price is comparatively lower than other hotels. And the location is fantastic with only a short walk to the nearest MRT station, shopping malls and scenic spots. A 7-11 store is located conveniently next door.
