Amazing! If you are considering- just book it!! We just got home from our honeymoon here. We were treated so kindly. Great location. Resort was about 35 minutes outside of Cancun. We were driven to the resort by Amstar, passing through many security gates along the way. Safety was obviously a priority. Room was beautiful, resort was large and gorgeous. Right amount of “party” and “relaxation”. You also have access to dreams next door which is equally as beautiful. We really enjoyed the restaurants, and even the buffet. Service was top notch, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Spent a majority of our time at the main pool and never struggled to find a chair or spot in the pool. Pool bar had great drinks and great bartenders.
Only negatives to consider- many mosquitos at night (just bring bug spray, but there was also some provided in room), swim out room pool was too cold for me (fine for my husband), and my husband and I both got a stomach virus on the last day of our stay- lasting 4 days total.
Overall, would love to come back if the price was right. We had a wonderful honeymoon.

I’m giving this a 2 star and not a 1 only because of the location and beauty of the resort. Everything else about this experience was sub par. If you choose to come here, it is beautiful, but watch out for yourself and don’t be gas light by the front desk.
Pros: the location is beautiful, the beach is kept reasonably clean of seaweed (it never kept us from getting in the water), the pool is great, and the entertainment during the day and evening are nice.
Cons: TLDR, we were gas light by the front desk.
THE SERVICE! We were accused of stealing sandals from the spa, never got any of our preferred club discounts or complementary bottle of liquor. We were accused of leaving the do not disturb light on, which is apparently why we didn’t get any of our promised amenities. We were also told they were leaving notes under our door about this, we were not. When we made them walk across the resort to check on it with us ,surprise, no red light. More minor things were requested, like restock the mini fridge that were not fulfilled. I could keep going, but I think my point has been made.

I can't say enough good things about this resort! It's amazing my fiance and I have been going here 4 years in a row and are blown away each time. The staff is so friendly, food is AMAZING!!! Super clean and just relaxing overall. I tried another resort and it didn't even stand a chance against this one! Could not recommend this more! The only downside is Hyatt purchased this hotel so now they make the staff push you for a meeting about a timeshare which is bizarre. The sales people can be kind of pushy they really want that commission. We had one really pushy guy one year that would call us early in the morning for this meeting over and over. Just initially tell them no they try to sell you with resort coupons it's not worth it. It was definitely better before Hyatt purchased it but still a good experience. Other than that we have a great experience!

It was a very nice experience at this resort. It’s adults only so it’s kind of small compared to a kid friendly resort like next door at Dreams. Food was alright. The buffet is no good with limited selections. Best food on the resort is probably Seaside Grill and Oceana. Not much entertainment at night like we’re used to. One thing that needs to be noted here is the awesome golf cart transportation.. the fastest and most efficient we’ve ever been to. We never waited more than 3 min for a ride which is spectacular! To be honest, we spent most of our time on the Dreams side while we were here at Secrets.

Very nice resort. My first time at that big of resort. Very well maintained and staff was amazing. Personally....i wish it had at least one casual dining place. During the day the pool bar/restaurant you can get a good variety of food. In the evening you had to dress up for all restaurants. Would have liked a more casual spot that i could get a burger or something similar. 80 degree beautiful evenings....last thing i wanted to do was put on pants and closed shoes. But would recommend to friends.
